I really like that they have been using Tekmetric where they send you a text link to look at pictures of what they are doing and where they break down the quote for the work. Makes it easy to work with Jers. Also, as an "amateur" mechanic I have never felt they are trying to do work that wasn't needed or charging for work that wasn't completed. I have left Jer's every time feeling they are honest, which is always a risk with mechanics. The only reason I am giving 4 stars and not 5 is they are typically about 10%-15% more expensive then other reputable shops in the area. That is my ONLY complaint.

Well, Wofford's has always treated me well, but this time they went above and beyond. The repair came in under estimate, and they managed to detail the entire interior of the car. I trust the guys at Wofford's and you should, too.

After several years of being a satisfied customer who referred others to them, it seems all they…read morecare about now is the money and not the customer service. I went in for a regular service with no warning lights or driving issues. They diagnosed a turbo coolant leak and recommended turbo removal and replacing multiple lines. The photo they sent showed a small dot of coolant but no visible leak. The cost was almost as much as the car was worth and about the same as what a BMW dealership would charge. I talked to them about it and they didn't provide any alternative options. In fact, the person I talked to said that if I wanted a low cost maintenance car, they recommended buying Japanese. They also said that customers don't go to Wofford to save money compared to a dealership. I went to a different mechanic where they did a pressure test and found a slow turbo coolant leak that required the coolant hoses to be replaced but not the additional work Wofford said was needed and the cost was half. Wofford also recommended new tires and to replace them urgently, when the penny test showed there's still mileage on them and it's not urgent.

My car's AC had recently started to blow hot air. I took it to the Honda Dealership in SLC in…read moreattempt to have a Honda parts warranty cover the repair or Honda customer service cover it. I was charged $200 for the diagnostic test to identify that my compressor needed to be replaced since it was overheating internally and had melted coils (had a shaft seal leak too which is under warranty with Honda but still couldn't get the diagnostic test fee waived after protesting it). Honda customer service put up a fight to cover the compressor replacement since they didn't know if the shaft seal leak or the compressor overheating internally happened first. Dealer quoted over $3,200 to fix the problem and all the parts are on back order. I called up Chuck's based on a friend's recommendation and spoke to Rocky. Right off the bat, he radiated honesty. He took the time to listen to my rambling of what I thought was wrong with my car and gave me a very fair quote compared to another shop in the South SLC area. The day I dropped my car off, I called one more time beforehand to ensure this shop would be a good fit. I spoke to Rocky again who reassured me that he didn't want the dealer's diagnostic report, the dealerships can be dishonest, and that he wanted to take a look and diagnose the problem himself to ensure he could fix my car properly. I dropped my car off within an hour after the phone call. Drop off was super smooth, I didn't need to give out a lot of personal information, and I was able to have a family member meet me at the shop to take me home. Turnaround time was about one business day. It turns out the Honda diagnosis matched Chuck's shop diagnosis but I didn't have to wait on parts to come in and the repair cost almost HALF of what the dealership quoted me. Rocky was very easy to work with and had a lot of patience with me over the phone. His quote matched what I ended up paying. I highly recommend this shop if you can have a ride set up to pick you up and drop you off to have your car worked on. Now I am ready to enjoy the summer heat with some ice cold AC! Thank you Rocky and team!!!
