Cesar came out that evening and worked late into the night, but the line would not open, which told us this was not a normal clog. The next day they excavated, got down to the blocked section, removed the clogged pipe, and jetted it clear. Once it was open they ran the camera, and it showed exactly why this kept happening: the old clay pipe was cracked and offset, with a corroded section of cast iron next to it. Cesar walked me through the footage and laid out the options, and we went with a full trenchless pipe burst replacement. The thing that stood out most was the communication. Cesar answered every question I had, no matter how small or how many times I asked, and he answered them fast. Everything was in writing. The scope grew as they found more, but every increase was explained and quoted before they touched anything, and the final bill matched the contract to the dollar. When they ran into an extra connection at a bend they handled it at no charge without me asking. My tenant works from home with strict privacy requirements and a hard cutoff time, and they worked around her schedule every single visit. Small things, but they say something: the whole crew showed up in matching Charlie's uniforms, trucks clearly marked, everything organized. When the job had to pause for the city inspection, they tarped and secured the excavated soil, covered the pits with plywood, and left the property clean and safe with my tenants living there the whole time. Their mascot is great too. After a week of dealing with this, having a team show up looking like they knew exactly what they were doing was reassuring. The crew did the entire 65 foot pipe burst in one day during an Extreme Heat Warning, close to 100 degrees, and still had water back on that night. They pulled the permit, coordinated the city inspection, and passed it. Huge shout out to Cesar, Javier, Hector, Oscar, Giovani, and Adrian. These guys worked hard in brutal conditions and I'm grateful.

I had the option of hydro jetting or pouring a clog-clearing product called "Liquid Lightning" (which I never heard of) down the drain. I found the product at Walmart & used it as directed. So far, so good. I have two water heater replacements as well as other plumbing repairs coming in the near future & I will not hesitate to call Rockstar Plumbing. They will dispatch unqualified money hungry plumbers, and when they show up, they will make an urgent face at every step. Next thing you know, two field supervisors with a camera are trying to sell you a bigger spec of work using scare tactics. This time was to remove old liners and install new one. My main sewer clean-out was in the middle of the front yard next to the tree. Every 5-7 years, the tree roots got into the clean-out and caused blockage. I had to call a rooter to clear the roots. This time the router blasted the sewer jetter with way too high psi, and caused the old liner to start peeling off. There were some bubbles visible in the old liner but had a few more years left. Now it was peeling, and re-lining was necessary. After they left I started requesting quotes from plumbers on yelp. Then my friend gave me Anthony's phone number. I contacted him, and his crew started working the next morning. The clean-out was relocated next to the house, and they did pipe-bursting from the house to the street. I never heard of "pipe-bursting" until a few days ago, but this is the proper way of doing it when you have a big tree in the front yard. I would be very careful working with NexGen. These guys damaged our ceiling, tore off paint from…read moreit, and have not returned our calls for the last 4 days. Their technicians fled our house before we could talk with them about it. Story - Our AC unit started not working and they were quick to arrive and investigate the situation. However, the first technician they sent out thought it was a problem with just cleaning the dust on our blower. Turned out it still didn't work properly after running it later that night - in fact our house got hotter. The same technician came back out the next day after we called NexGen and we found out he had forgotten to plug a wire back in for the condenser on our AC unit - this is a lack of professionalism and care in the work performed. Our AC unit then would only work for about 2-3 hours. We called NexGen to come back out and look at the issue again with a different technician who told us instead we needed a brand new furnace. The next day our furnace was installed, but during the installation, the technicians damaged our ceiling and tore paint off from the ceiling. They tried to glue parts of our ceiling back and it was done so poorly. They even left glue on our walls still. When my wife and I saw the damage done to our ceiling they had already left. I have been trying to get a hold of NexGen since they left and nobody has returned my call for the last 4 days since our installation. The lack of quality of service and attention to detail is embarrassing. The technicians they sent out were also talking loudly about how new they were to the Company - makes sense as to how much of a shoddy job they did.
