Over the years, I have moved to different cities and tried new stylists. Some have been wonderful, creating exactly the look I desired, while others went completely off the rail, making me want to put a paper bag over my head until my hair grew out. I have been going to Dee Dee at Elegant Touch for over 2 years now and I couldn't be happier. When I find a stylist who LISTENS and advises me on color choices, cuts to go with my facial structure, and doesn't overcharge, well honey, I remain a loyal customer. Dee Dee does a fantastic job. I'm not rating her performance solely on my own opinion and satisfaction, but a combination of that and the plentiful amount of compliments I am constantly receiving. And the price for these services? You absolutely cannot compete! I tend to find that women often overpay for salon services. They will routinely visit snazzy, upscale salons, where they receive the standard, "trendy" cut with no customization for their face or style, which blends them into the masses. Elegant Touch offers a comfortable atmosphere, superior stylists, and a staff of friendly salon professionals. If you're looking for a unique cut and color, thats tailored to YOU as an individual, then Elegant Touch is the salon for you.

It made me feel bad for the child's mother, who was put in an uncomfortable and embarrassing situation. Shout out to fellow YELPER Karen F. for her review and subsequent personal recommendation for…read moreChrome Salon. I have been following this place for the years since it opened and its rave reviews but somehow I never made it here as I was stuck in the rut of "State-Street-in -Media -only" hairdressing. There's approximately 11 salons on that street and small side streets so that is the area in Western Delaware County where everybody goes. State Street is the happening place to go to get your hair done. Chrome isn't within the downtown area per se but on the outskirts out by the Media bypass. And this is one of the reasons why I jumped out of my comfort zone and gave it a shot because they have their own parking lot and that's worth it's weight in gold instead of driving around for 10 minutes trying to find a parking spot in busy Downtown Media. That's where the differences end. This salon is just as active, vibrant ,upbeat and in tune with current styles and products as all those overpriced State Street salons. I tend to only want to stay with hairdressers for about five years so I was looking for somebody new and I selected SHERI M. I was not disappointed. She spent her time looking at my hair and the suggestions she had were great. This was indicative of her vast experience as a hairdresser. She has a true "feel "for her clients. The first time I went she cut my hair and I was very happy with it so I scheduled a foil touchup three weeks later. I was beyond happy with how I looked after I left there. When she found that I sometimes like to go to bed with my hair damp because it comes out wavy and curly in the morning, she suggested a product to put in before bedtime that would keep the curls intact but eliminate the frizz that has seemed to have developed in my hair in the last year. I love that this is a family owned and run salon. I hadn't met the owners but I met a man there recently who was doing shampooing who was somehow related to the family and he gave me the history of how Chrome came about. It was also interesting to hear that they had recently started their own hairdressing Academy. All in all you'll get a great feel for Chrome and enjoy your experience there. I know I'll certainly be back.

I just moved to the area and was in desperate need for a good cut to bring back my curl pattern. My last cut was not so good, so needless to say I was super happy to find Jalena's via Yelp, and being only 13 minutes from me, win win!!! They take walk ins and there is metered parking in the front. I went on a Tuesday, and found a spot right in front. The place is neat and comfy. They only take cash, but they do have an ATM in the back. I had stopped in The previous Saturday to get a feel for the place and they were very busy. I asked for the curl expert because I have really fine curly hair which can get frizzy, and if not cut properly look awkward. I was guided to Elizabeth and so finally on Tuesday, today, I got to see her to fix this mess lol. The salon was pretty empty which I liked, and they get you in the shampoo chair as soon as you get in. This was one of THE best shampoos I have gotten, albeit a bit rough, but it sure gets all that product residue out. Their products smell AMAZING!!! This day I got the perk of a free heat deep conditioner, which I welcomed happily. They were a bit short staffed so that was the perk and I didn't mind waiting. This hair needed some love! While I was under the dryer I saw Evelyn work on some people and she is efficient and knows what to do with all hair types. I watched her put in some extensions and they were flawless. I was excited to be next! She asked me what I needed and I explained my last hair cut wasn't layered enough. She went in, worked her magic and immediately I felt my curls bounce back! Just with a good cut! She asked me first the length prior to cutting and I was happy with her suggestion. I had to get back to work so I didn't have time for a blow out, but she put some product in my hair, clipped it up and stuck me under the dryer so the curls can have some form. All I can say is GRACIAS BELLA!!! She was efficient, attentive, sweet, and knowledgeable!! I have a wedding to go in a few weeks and most certainly will be back to get it styled. I am so happy to have found Jalena's, just look at my smile! Best part rates are reasonable!! Go, wait if you must, but so worth it! Happy hair days!!

I found Classic Hair and Nails Studio. I was there at 10am when they opened and I was first in line, as a small crowd had gathered before they opened. They washed my hair twice and conditioned it first. The hairdresser was waiting for me when they finished. I explained the bad experience I had and she said that the former hairstylist (if you can call her that) did not cut my hair properly. She even went so far as to say that it was the worst haircut she'd ever seen. Which I concurred. She really gave me a lot of attention and a gorgeous style. She thinned it out and gave it lots of layers. It has a timeless style that I can do multiple things with now. I plan to return in two weeks and have a complete color and highlights done. Just in time for summer.
