Been to Paris twice now and this is my go to place for lunch and treats. Not only is the staff wonderful and patient to this ignorant American, the food is delicious. This last time I got a simple ham and cheese croissant and it melted in my mouth-I have never tasted a better sandwich. Tucked down an alley a block away from Notre Dame it is a cozy spot in a great location. Highly recommend!

This bakery is located close to Notre Dame so it's likely a bit touristy but still good. We stopped here a couple of times so I tried two different sandwiches (a chicken salad on milk bread and a ham and cheese baguette) plus a pastry. My friend had a croissant and an espresso both days, and an enormous palmier which was delicious . I had no complaints... I didn't pay much attention to the price differences for here (pour isi) or to go (pour aller) but YMMV. The staff is friendly and helpful. Service is very quick... and keep some change handy, the toilet costs 20 or 50 cents.

Amazing little bakery in the Latin Quarter. Our group of 17 went here multiple times over 4 days of our trip for ALL the pastries, desserts, and coffee drinks. Richard was funny and accommodating. Just be ready to order when you get to the counter. Thanks to Richard and his son in law.

Macarons (7 pieces for about 6€)

We came here to eat some Macarons on our Paris trip. The waitress was kind, we bought a little box with 7 macarons contained. I think the price was about 6€, which is very little for original Parisian macarons (we saw other offers like 6 macarons for 17€). The macarons were so soft and had a very natural flavour. They were simply the best I ever ate so far, but I only ate macarons outside of Paris and France before, so I don't have a solid comparison. Anyway I would truly recommend this macarons and this local as well. They also had many cakes and tarts, that looked so delicious.

This place is very good. A variety of sandwiches and pastries to choose from. Their prices vary from takeout to sit in. I had what appeared to be a Black Forest Chocolate Cake that was probably the best I've ever had and a Raspberry filled Baguette (Not sure if that's spelt correctly.

Wonderful spot for a pastry and coffee on a cold January afternoon. I highly recommend the chocolate/almond tart and the Nutella cookie.

Cappuccino costs 5,60€, but is nothing special. Fresh pressed orange juice is 5,80. Croissant OK, but everything WAY overpriced!

Another great boulangerie. This place is slightly larger than the one down the street with a…read moreslightly wider selection. It gets a cheaper rating but I thought the prices were very comparable to the other boulangeries in the neighborhood.Again they had great croissants (I tried them at every boulangerie we visited) and their large macaron "sandwiches" were also delicious (although not my MOST favorite of the ones we tried in Paris). This place was also just a few steps from our apartment so we visited it a lot as well. None of the women that served us during the week spoke English but again, you don't need much in a boulangerie. The service was always friendly and efficient. Often this place was busy but service was quick. No outdoor seating, and they were open until 8pm which was awesome. Later in the day you'll find that pastries and bread are not as fresh but even though we got macaron "sandwiches" at 7pm and they seemed a little damp from the fresh fruit in them, the taste was delicious. The outer shells of the macarons were slightly tough but the overall texture wasn't bad. the berries (we tried frambriose and fraise, or raspberry and strawberry) were incredibly fresh and tasty. I'm sure if we had purchased them earlier in the day they would have been even better. We also had the coffee eclairs and they were amazing!!! I don't care that much for eclairs as I do no like the type of bread used for them, but these were good enough that I'd get them again. The filling was rich and the coffee taste was outstanding.
