I called in my order to a very nice young man. His greeting was genuine and he was very polite over the phone. I gave my order. He told me how long to wait and then to head that way. Rice House Express is located inside of Tiger Mart ( Exxon) conveniently located at 1411 SW Wilshire Blvd in Burleson, Texas. This is a great place to pickup good food on the way home, which a lot of people do ( like me ). They have a large variety of food and cook it fresh right there. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is always very friendly. The employees of Tiger Mart also friendly and very helpful . 05/29/2026 Friday 7:15. Someone ordered this the other day via DoorDash and it smelled so good. Located in the Exxon. Should have been my first clue! Decided to try them tonight. Bummer. Who orders this? It was not delicious. It was mostly flavorless. The sesame chicken was chewy and no real flavor.just chewy. The egg rolls greasy and chewy too, not crispy. My wife and I stopped in after hearing this place was good, I was surprised when finding out the location was tucked in the back of a market/ gas station. My wife had the Chris fried rice and said it was good. We shared chicken lo mien that was really good and I had the sesame chicken that I would also recommend. The food did take long but everything was cooked to order and piping hot! This isn't like most places where the food is sitting under some heat lamps. In town visiting fam. Stopped in to get some veggies to cook and also came to pick up lunch. Pleasantly surprised with how delish the kung pao was and perfectly spiced when requested "hot". Also got my extra peanuts! Hubby got the three pork rice and enjoyed it as well. They also give you extra chili sauce if u want to add more spice. Yum! I was told this place was good. I stopped by and it was a big disappointment. This food quality and quantity is trash. The chicken tasted old and soggy, the vegetable lo-mein barely had any veggies except 2 small pieces of broccoli. The fried rice didn't have any flavor and it had no veggies at all. The crab ragoons were old tasting and hard. I will never eat here again. Asian cafe on alsbury blvd is wayyyy better. It is way over priced for the quality and Quantity too Also, my favorite place and only place that has the BEST Asian food is ASIAN BOWL on I20 and Little Road in Arlington Tx. Wow!! 10/10 recommended!! Our first time trying today and we will be a loyal customer from now on:) Having lived many years in Springfield Mo (best Chinese food we've had IYKYK)this place blew our minds! May seem dramatic but the food is delicious and flavorful while still seeming fresh and not loaded full of MSGs and oils . We had the Kung Pao chicken and Szechwan chicken (both medium spice). The General TSO and Sesame chicken was way over cooked and nasty. The rice was sticky gooey, nasty and not the normal fried rice. The Chris fried rice was same sticky gooey and all the food was bland. read more

We have had this a couple times and our fam has been very pleased. I have gotten a few different entrees and my fav by far has been the sesame chicken xtra spicy and it had some good heat to it, not inferno hot but a good kick. My daughter loves their lo-mein. I saw an add on facebook saying they are retraining their staff to meet company guidelines, so I thought I would give it a try! I ordered shrimp fried and orange chicken. The fried rice is basically steamed rice with veggies, eggs & protein of choice and it was soggy! The orange chicken was fatty chicken thighs which was hard to tell if they were battered and fried and some pieces tasted freezer burned. The sauce was actually flavorful though. The homemade egg rolls were really greasy. I wish them the best but I won't be back. read more

1st off the SERVICE was great! The cashier/server came from behind the counter to explain how things worked. 2nd the FOOD was I can say HOT ND FRESH, but the FOOD was not at all what I expected. It had NO great taste, NOT enough meat ans even though they cook with real rice some of it was cooked too hard! And 3rd their area was clean and while waiting they were polite and customer service oriented, but we will not be going back again! Sorry guys read more

Used door dash twice now for their food. Portions are shareable, and they def don't hold back on spice. We've had generals Tao's chicken, 2 meat fried rice. Beef lo mein, spring rolls and egg rolls. And egg drop soup. Food is fresh and hot when delivered. Def will be regulars. read more

Worst experience ever I have delivered food for other customers. Always had a long wait but the owner explained to me they make everything from scratch fresh and it was worth the long weights. so I decided even though it's 25 minutes away to try it for the first time. Unfortunately picked up my order ,brought it home $64. And 20 minutes drive there then 20 mins home for the wrong order . My son called to complain and in the middle of explaining the problem he was put on hold for 20 minutes while I was driving back thinking I was going to pick up the right order this time. It was very upsetting to be on hold that long after being cut off in the middle of our complaint to not get it resolved. Would've been happy to exchange the messed up order for the right one but after my son was cut off in the middle of the conversation and put on hold for 20 minutes he knew by the time I got there and would have to wait another 25 minutes for them to prepare a new order so just wanted to refund. Manager told him he would take care of it. I got there ,was told the owner would be back in five minutes he could only do fund so I waited for about 10 minutes only to be told he wasn't coming back. Asked why we told he could get a refund when he couldn't and why he cut us off then put on hold 20 mins,he said he busy with other customers . I guess they were more important than the unhappy one on phone. Finally, I was told the owner wouldn't be back in and I finally got my refund after two hours driving time and was cut off when trying to exchange the order for the right one instead was put on hold for 20 minutes. The manager kept telling me different stories, but finally gave me back my money. That food could never be good enough to overcome the worst customer service I've ever had especially from a manager. Very disappointed , was given the wrong order, was treated very rudely and two hours of driving time ,30 minutes of waiting time for an owner that never came just to end up getting a refund I had to fight for.. the service was way too bad to ever even want to try. It may be in a gas station but don't let that fool you, this rice is legit good. My family all order the Chris Fried Rice or the basic fried rice. Between us we each get mild all the way up to hot. They give you chili oil seasoning to add to the rice and you can't skip that step if you love spicy foods! The heat hits so good! Definitely a hidden gem and a bargain to boot. Great food. read more

The shrimp egg roll I got here was fantastic! Super greasy but very flavorful with a fresh crunch! The rice was decent. I got the famous chris fried rice medium heat and it was so spicy the spice was all I could taste. I will say they pack that container FULL! Easily can be split between 2 people. My wife drove from FW, 20 mins drive and passed all the fine Asians restaurants to get to this one, Schezuan, My Lan, Asians Night, Le's Wok even Panda Express to name a few.
