Good size portion but needs work on the tenderness of the meat. Feels like I'm eating bone-in meat jerky. The flavor's there though...

Obviously, they offer wings and steaks (try their Porterhouse Steak baby) pero meron din naman silang salad, sandwich, pasta, different sides and some desserts. Hindi pa masyadong malawak (parang hacienda lang eh hahaha) yung menu nila pero basta kumakain ka ng steak at wings (baka lumipad ka teh) solved ka na dito! Limited lang yung parking slots (3 or 4 na sasakyan lang ata) and it's a little bit pricey for me (yung rice around P40-P50 na). But if you're looking for a new place to try with your friends or family, okay naman dito. Hindi lang siya yung pupuntahan ko madalas (price issue) but the taste ng food naman is good!

Buffalo Bro's Ribs and Wings - One full plate of yum!

We took our chances at going inside and sampling Buffalo Bro's mainly because of how the sign looked - hip and edgy without being overwhelmingly pretentious. Naturally, we were attracted. Upon entering, we were at awe seeing the chalk artworks adorning the walls. My friend and I, being on a food tour, just got an order of their sweet ribs platter with a siding or macaroni and cheese plus an upgrade to dirty rice. Boy, were we so happy! The macaroni and cheese was yummy and buttery, with the pasta cooked al dente. The dirty rice was the perfect complement to the indeed sweet ribs that were so tender, there was no need for us to use our knives. Hopefully I can come back soon and bring my Dad along with me as I'm sure he'll love it here. With that happening, we'll probably go to the area more often.

However, thanks to a certain someone (you know who you are and I blame you entirely), I ended up developing a taste for wings. Turns out they're pretty good when done right... and man, do these guys do their wings right. They've got enough flavor, they aren't dry and there's this barest hint of a crunch in the skin. Wonderful wings. And their ribs. They're fall off the bone tender and very flavorful. Couple that with their sides and their rice (can someone say awesome mac n' cheese?)... you have a perfectly filling meal for under 300php. Really, 220php for ribs? Where are you gonna find 200 peso ribs that aren't cardboard?! Then there are equally great burgers and sandwiches... there are just a lot of things on the menu I could gush about forever. Definitely a great place to go no matter what meal needs to be fulfilled.

This restaurant also has a nice interior with its Southwestern theme. It's not everyday that you get a taste of Southwestern food here in the Philippines. Everytime I go here for lunch with my friends or family, I end up ordering their bottomless Tostada chips served with their tasty and flavorful house-made salsa. For additional dips, you can pay for their Ranch dressing and Queso. For my main course, I often have their Grilled Chicken Sandwich, which has crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese, and their to-die-for honey mustard dressing. If you want something sweet after the main course, you can have their Molten Chocolate Cake, which is shaped just like a volcano. A look of this delectably delicious cake would make you drool. It might be a little bit pricey for some of us, but sometimes you have to pay money for good food!

But I still do have a social life you know, which is why I'm thankful to have friends who understand when I'm down and broke. When this happens, Chili's is the obvious choice. Not for their great tasting burgers, not for their quesadillas and not even for their mojitos. Chili's is the obvious choice for their unlimited nachos! Unlimited nachos is actually the best thing ever. I remember there was a time when my dinner group of 4 ordered just that and nothing else. We stayed there for more than 3 hours while we happily downed cold water for drinks. Nothing can really get in the way of saving for that adorable bag, so thank god for unlimited nachos. For good old American food, Chili's is always the best choice.

Luckily, The Burger Project meets all of these qualifications to be a Maginhawa standard. The restaurant is cozy, with seating both inside and outside. You can seat larger parties here but be prepared to be brushing elbows. It helps the place feel more homey. The menu of available toppings and pre made combinations alongside sides and drinks are written artfully in chalk above the cash register and condiments bar. They have this cool template where you can literally build your own burger, customizing everything from the bun to the cheese to sauces, condiments and everything in between! Be warned though, every upgrade comes at a price and it can add up quickly. The standard patty is a very generous serving, and familiar to most Filipino palates, it's a bit on the saltier side. I do, however, appreciate its flavor and juiciness so I don't really think it's a deal breaker. Some standout add-ons to the burgers here include an egg, adobo aioli, a grilled pineapple slice, and garlic cream cheese among more standard and out there choices. I love their fries too! Definitely good for sharing for the size. I recommend the sweet potato fries (₱70), The Animal Style Fries (a nod to In-N-Out's famous fries of the same name), and the garlic aioli fries. They're great, especially the sweet potato fries because they walk a really nice line between kamote fries you'd buy on the street and the sweet potato fries you'd see at more American places.

What I liked about this cafe was that there werent many people there, you might laugh and think oh hey so much for going there, but dont most people who go to a cafe usually go to get away from all the noise so they could enjoy their cup of coffee and a good book? Because, I know that's what I look for nowadays. There's plenty of coffee shops around the area, but not all of them have that advantage of providing customers with some peace and quiet. The only downside is since the cafe is located in a mini compound they share the parking lot with other establishments and if you bring your car, finding parking will be tough, but hey since there's a car wash right across from it maybe you can have your car cleaned while drinking your coffe.

The sauce is also quite different from the other sauces I've tried (in a good way). Slightly sweet and not overwhelming, you can add as many sauce as you like without affecting the flavor of the ribs. Each serving of ribs is good for two to three people. Their sampler consisting of bacon and cheese potato skins, fried cheese, and buffalo wings, all with dips offers variety without the steep price. It's like a dream house! We arrived late, prolly around 9pm, but the place was still abuzz with diners: families, friends, colleagues, etc. We tried a variety of savory dishes namely bacon & cheese potato skins, fried cheese, buffalo wings, the Count of Monte Cristo sandwich, and Brian's ribs. The first 3 are their best-selling appetizers, and I totally understand why. Even without their respective dips/sauces, they tasted great, especially the wings & potato skins! It was my first time to encounter a Monte Cristo sandwich, which has turkey, ham, and American cheese. They are inside battered and fried white bread, dusted with powdered sugar and best eaten with raspberry jam. I'm kind of torn about this because it's so sinfully good! I find the battered bread a bit thick, though. Finally, the ribs were tender and seasoned just right. They came with peppery mashed potatoes and corn-carrots (these were kind of salty instead of buttery, though). For our drinks, we had 4 kinds of milkshakes: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and the mother of them all - the humongous Milky Way! I love how thick the whipped cream was, it's like cake icing already! The Milky Way is meant for 3-4 people or 1 chocolate addict. We continued our sugar rush with matcha ice cream cake, Bliss o' Berry cheesecake, and macchiato (?) ice cream cake. My favorite's the matcha because hey, it's matcha!!! A close second is the berry cheesecake, which has a subtle citrus-y flavor that doesn't taste like medicine. Coffee lovers would enjoy the macchiato ice cream cake for sure. Overall, it was such a great experience, accompanied by great ambiance and awesome company. Can't wait to go back with other friends! :D I have my eyes on their burgers and pastas!
