First visit today. Ribs were fine. Wouldn't come from far away for them, but they were good. Included extra sauce was good. Chicken was excellent. Well seasoned, cooked well, flavorful throughout and not just on the surface; breast was juicy and tender and dark meat was still good. Good portion of canned corn on the side. Pork mein fun and mozz sticks were standard. Would come here again for the chicken. Again, first visit so I can't speak to the consistency, but it left a good impression. Will return. read more

This is a very poor excuse for BBQ or smoked/ grilled ribs/ chicken I have ever had. I ordered the 4 wings and 2 ribs with seafood salad. The ribs and chicken had a foul odor to them and tasted nothing like BBQ. It tasted like someone seasoned them with taco seasoning. The sauce tasted like spicy molasses and the seafood salad was non-existent...meaning there was no seafood in the salad. Just noodles, mustard and eggs. This food was horrible, bottom line and they should not claim they specialize in BBQ. Pay a few extra bucks and go to Mission BBQ for satisfaction. read more

Okay the first time I went was back in 2010 I believe this location had just opened and I got some Ribs they were really good. I went back earlier this year and new management has taken over as it's now more like a chinese carryout as well. Disgusting!!!!!! If I could give a zero I would. First of all the place stinks and the food stinks. As soon as I walked into the place a needed to run out and gasp for air. Was really in the mood for BBQ and figured let's order half a slab, maybe the bad smell was from the Chinese food. I got cornbread, baked beans and potato salad to go with the ribs. The cornbread was tiny, not fresh, cold and wrapped in plastic. I just threw that out. The beans tasted too sweet and oily and the potato salad was ok but did not taste fresh. Now the ribs. First of all the lady forgot to include BBQ sauce, even though she was selling BBQ ribs. I had some BBQ sauce at home which I used. Now the ribs were utterly disgusting! Had the ribs, mac n cheese, baked beans and iced tea. The ribs came with the sauce separate, which I liked because everything was well packaged when delivered. The mac n cheese wasn't very cheesy. In fact it tasted like Kraft with less salt. Disappointed I spent $6 on it. The baked beans were good. The iced tea was also good, not too strong. Overall I am happy with my experience. When calling in to check the status of my order, I had difficulty understanding the person on the line (first time this has ever happened to me), they had a very thick accent. I was only in it for the ribs :) - This has, as others have noted, become an all-purpose urban carryout - wings, ribs, chinese, etc. Nonetheless, the ribs were tasty to me, with a choice of mild, medium or hot sauce. $11/half slab; $21/slab. Downside? Mainly that the ribs aren't saturated in the sauce, the sauce is on the side. I like it when the ribs live in that sauce. Marinated for the last part of cooking in it. Yeh. Tried a ribs and chicken combo. The half chicken was a nice full half chicken, not just parts. The breast meat was not terribly overcooked and dry. The ribs were beef, but had quite a bit of meat on them. The hot sauce was well done. The high quality smoky flavor imparted upon the meats made the meal! The greens were salty and finely chopped for the geriatric set, which I suppose I've seen before. As marsha indicated, white bread comes standard--ack. If I lived closer, I might hit it up every once in a while, but will probably stick with Hogs in Beltsville. Ambience: no seating. although there's a thick acrylic or laminated glass along the counter to discourage burglary and a rotating slot for the food to go through, they walk the food through a side door to you, which I thought a nice touch. read more

I have not had a good experience at all with this establishment. I ordered shrimp and black beans online for delivery; however, when the meal came, it was a bowl of onions, green peppers, and a few shrimp with a sprinkle of black beans in the bowl. I called and spoke to Angela, the manager, to tell her that a mistake was made with my order. She was very rude to me and stated that if I had called ahead I would have known what came in the meal. When I explained to her that this was not what I thought I was getting she stated that she would not refund the money or change my order and she hung up on me. I have never spoken with a manger at a restaurant who was so rude. The other food was okay, but forgettable. I like this place because I really hate fast food, but when I want food I want it fast. It has chicken, ribs, pork chops and sides like cole slaw, baked beans, collard greens, string beans, corn, potato salad, corn bread. It's cheap and amazingly fast. They have sweet potato pie, apple cobbler, peach cobbler, lemon cake and chocolate cake. I get either wings or a 1/2 chicken with cole slaw. You can get hot or mild sauce. Bread comes with the order. It's much better than drive thrus. BTW............it's take out and it takes less than 5 minutes. read more

Most of the garbage you get around DC has great reviews and it cost $20-$30 for a to go meal for 1 person, and there is nothing special about it. I seen this place on Grubhub and out of curiosity I decided to order from there because their menu seemed very appealing to my eyes. Unfortunately their menu and the actual food doesn't match! I order their bbq wings with 3 sides which were mac& cheese, seafood salad and cornbread. NOTHING I ordered from them tasted good it was BEYOND DISGUSTING! The mac & cheese was more mac than cheese! i had to use my own cheese to make it mac & cheese; the seafood salad again was more noodles than seafood and to top it off it was imitation crab meat and the shrimp looked like the little tiny pieces you would find in bowl of noodle packages. the cornbread was definitely STORE BOUGHT and i could've made it by myself and taste better and when i attempted to warm it up, it got hard as soon as it cooled down! now onto the "bbq wings"smh. They sent me a container full of PLAIN chicken wings and 2 containers of nasty bbq sauce i guess to dip it in. if it was bbq chicken why wasn't the sauce poured and cooked with my chicken? WORST PLACE EVER. please change the name, when you see ' Ribs n Things' you would imagine good soul food and etc but i was horribly mistaken. i would NEVER refer this "restaurant" to my worst enemy. Tried this place for delivery of a meal for the first time; service was very friendly and very quick; they told me that my delivery would be 30-35 minutes, it was more like 20 minutes. I ordered their rib platter; got good, meaty ribs with a spicy sauce on the side, a decent potato salad (lots of mustard), and good collard greens. I got the lemon chess pie for dessert (desserts are apparently gotten from a supplier in NJ). They have a variety of foods, including Chinese, subs, wings, seafood dinners, ribs, and chicken. I'm not giving 5 stars based on just one meal, but I intend to order from them again and try the fried seafood platter; if it's as good as their ribs, I'll definitely up my rating to 5 stars. read more
