If a place delivers strong execution, quality flavors, and exceeds expectations for what it is trying to be, that earns a top rating from me. Chili Wok did exactly that. We recently visited Alexandria and had an excellent meal from start to finish. Everything we ordered was flavorful, well prepared, and arrived tasting fresh and intentional. The soup dumplings were a standout. The wrappers held together nicely, the filling was savory and juicy, and each bite had that satisfying burst of broth you hope for when ordering them. The fried rice was also very well done. It had great wok flavor, proper texture, and did not feel greasy or heavy, which is where many places miss the mark. The sweet and sour ribs were another highlight. They had a great balance of sweetness and tang, with tender meat and enough texture to keep them interesting. A dish that can sometimes feel one note was handled really well here. Beyond the food, the overall experience was strong. When every dish lands and nothing disappoints, that says a lot about the consistency of the kitchen. Service was quick, the staff was friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. If you're a fan of spicy Chinese food or dishes with a numbing peppercorn kick, this place is definitely worth trying. On the latter, rather than the wide egg noodles are yummy fried and chicken noodles. As for soups, you've got to try the Pan Mee (House Special). It is unique with a chicken base, mushrooms, fish balls and mustard greens. Outstanding! We also pigged out on the Sayang Meehoon, which is the aforementioned fried rice noodle adorned with plentiful tofu and shrimp in a spicy soy bean sauce. Also, as a security person I want to comment on the website/credit card compromise several old reviews mention: This type of scam is happening to other restaurants in the area (such as Momo's) and I would recommend against ever ordering online through websites (for pickup or delivery). UberEats and GrubHub takes a painful bite out of profits for small restaurants, but BeyondMenu doesn't take as much of a cut and the restaurant gets to use their own delivery drivers. I support them this way. I recommend the restaurant consolidate their orders in a safe way that discourages online ordering through their website to avoid this issue. Finally, phone orders are probably still a good way to do business, but I recommend pickup and to pay with tap or smart chip, not slide. I really think they deserve more stars than they have.

Evenings and weekends, the front parking can be a little crazy because of the neighboring businesses, but it's still not a huge issue. Honestly, what I appreciate most about this location is the service and the drink offerings. This is definitely the best service I've had at a carryout in this area.
