From what I gather, this place used to be great. Bread was good, bruschetta was decent. Meatballs you could tell were factory produced frozen. Sauces didn't taste fresh. Probably some chef Mike-rowaves involved. Pollo Portobello cream sauce was watery and sweet. Nobody liked their food. Check out The Red Stag when in Vidalia. While passing through, I stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. We were seated within 5-10 minutes, and our server was incredibly attentive, assisting us right away. They quickly brought our drinks and even recommended popular dishes without us having to ask. When our food arrived, it turned out to be one of the best meals I've ever had! This place is definitely a gem. My gf and I came in on a Friday night (Nov 18), it was crowded but no wait. It has a nice atmosphere in what looks like an older fully restored brick building downtown. I ordered the lasagna and a side caesar. The food and service were very good. I was actually surprised at how big the lasagna was, it was definitely a portion that could be shared between two people. I'm traveling for work this week and relying on Yelp for decent restaurants. I worked in the hotel until about 8 PM so my options for non-fast food were slim. I called Rialto and they said the kitchen was open until nine so I headed that way. I wasn't too hungry and it was kind of late so I wanted something light to hold me over until morning. I got the Caprese Salad and the Meatball Trio. There were probably 6-8 slices of tomato and mozzarella with fresh basil leaves accompanied by mixed greens. The greens had a light dressing and the entire dish had balsamic glaze drizzled on it. I was pleasantly surprised. The Meatball Trio is served on a long skinny plate in a pool of marinara sauce. Each meatball is split and a slice of mozzarella cheese is placed in the middle. Each meatball is big enough to quarter for a reasonable sized bite. I'm not a red sauce connoisseur but this sauce tasted pretty good the meatballs were excellent. read more

It was a good sized portion and it was okay but not great. I paid $5.50 extra for meat sauce on it. An extra order of bread was$2.00 extra. My bill for 2 people was $60 plus tip. I'm going to cut to the point. If I was rating this restaurant based on the conduct of the bald headed manager the restaurant would receive zero stars. Let's just say don't touch the top of the $30,000 dusty piano or you will be scolded in front of the entire restaurant. Simply rude and could have been handled professionally, especially when my sole purpose of being close to the piano was taking a photo of my mother in law with her grandchildren at her 70th birthday dinner. The waiter was awesome. We were greeted promptly and drink orders were taken while one member of the party was running late. He also went ahead and informed us of the daily special, then brining an rice meatball entree, followed by bread. The remaining party member arrived and a short time later orders were taken. Salads arrived soon after and we were even informed of an estimated time for entrees. Entrees arrived which were delivered by the waiter, no runner needed. Entrees were enormous portions, but were excellently prepared. The plating of my calazone was odd. Being bigger than the plate the calazone arrived on a pan with 'bumps' along with a serrated knife and marinara sauce. The bumps made it hard to cut the calazone or maybe it was the knife but either way it was indeed hard to cut properly. No one complained about the food and many at the table complimented the taste. For desert the birthday girl asked for something extra special, apparently the only birthday desert was a canoli which was not to her liking, she ordered cheesecake and asked for a candle in it, which the waiter was able to make happen. She also requested the bald headed manager sing Happy birthday, but instead the waiter made her night by singing (extremely well mind you) Happy birthday to her. Sadly I won't be patronizing this establishment again. It was my first time in the new location. You can tell the owners love Marilyn Monroe and Elvis, even going so far as to have a photo of Marilyn watching the men as they use the bathroom. And life-size statues in the bar area. It's not terrible decor yet I just don't see how it fits an Italian theme. Whatever you do here just remember not to touch the $30,0000 piano. read more

This place is truly a great stop if you're ever in Vidalia! They had great food and great service! When we walked in, we were met with a dim, candle lit space and a very friendly host. We were seated right away. The fresh bread and garlic butter are very delicious! We ordered a pizza, the rigatoni alla vodka, the meatballs, eggplant Parmesan, and a side of pasta. The pizza was great. It had really good flavor and the cheese was fresh. The rigatoni alla vodka was one of the best I've had! It was very creamy, smooth, and had excellent notes of garlic and Parmesan. I would highly recommend it. The eggplant parm was just as good! It was well-cooked and it had a nice crisp to it. It also had plenty of cheese! Unfortunately though, the side pasta wasn't as impressive. The pasta itself was overcooked making for a mushy experience. The meatballs were good, pretty basic. Nothing bad to say about them! Overall, this place is very good and we are very full! I would recommend Rialto to anyone looking for some good Italian food and nice staff! read more

Very good food.. I was worried I was walking into an olive garden type joint, but much to my surprise it wasn't. Good energy in the place, friendly staff, and a great menu. I had the chicken parm. Basic I know, but usually a safe bet at a restaurant you don't know. It came with a pretty rudimentary, but delicious side salad and a full loaf of VERY tasty bread with garlic butter. Be careful not to fill up before your entree comes! (Note: I was told the salad is usually Romaine but because of the current recall, spinach is substituted. So don't totally expect my photo) The portion on the entree made me wonder if I'd finish it, but alas hard work and determination pay off! I was craving it again the second night I was in town, but found out they closed at nine :/ (be aware of that...I was so disappointed after a very long day). The atmosphere was great! It was incredibly cozy and comfortable. Exactly what you think an Italian restaurant should be. You should definitely go by if you're in town! read more

Server Tiffani and Host Jackson were great. However, a new system needs to be put in place for alerting patrons when their table is ready. When sitting in the lounge area waiting to be seated talking with your group and other people talking, it is difficult to hear someone come to the door and call your name when you're sitting toward the back of the lounge area. Our group was "marked off" because someone came to the door at the lounge and called our name and nobody responded. Just a recommendation to take phone numbers down and send text messages when tables are ready. This is 2024 and technology is way more advance than someone needing to come to the door and call your name! read more

Traveling for business and wanted a to go order. OMG soo sooo sooooo good and plentiful! Packed on ice to take home leftovers without a cooler raided Hampton Inn laundry and ice bags to make a makeshift cooler it was that good and cold enough outside - do not try this in summer!!! I had veal parmigiana kind of wished i had done chicken but wanted to up my game it did not disappoint!! Only thing that could of been better is a bread with a hard crust theirs was more of a sub roll. Will be back the marinara sauce absolutely delicious. read more

We try to eat at Rialto at least once a week. Everything is made in house. Their caesar salad is so good due to their homemade dressing. My husband loves the lasagna and I love the tour of Italy. I am not sure thats what they call it on their menu but it has a small serving of lasagna, alfredo noddles and chicken parmesan. Their alfredo sauce is delicious. They also serve fresh baked break with a garlic butter that just melts in your mouth. If you are looking for Italian food look no further than Rialto. read more

This is one jewel I didn't expect to find in Vidalia Georgia. So far I've had the pleasure of trying one of their excellent pizzas, as well as a brilliantly crafted lasagna with béchamel (and that is about as authentic Italian as it gets). The front of house are definitely on top of their game. If you would like to ask for a particular server, Heather would be an excellent choice. The only negatives, and they are small ones, is they could use some nice Italian selections on their wine list, perhaps a Brunello, Barolo, or super Tuscan. They could also go with wine glasses that are a bit more elegant, but now I am nitpicking. Definitely recommend. read more

This is the best Italian food place I have eaten at in a very long time. Everything taste very fresh and homemade. You can taste the quality was all made by hand not canned. This is my favorite place to eat now in Vidalia. It's by far best place for Italian food all over Georgia coming back I will pass local Italian places that are more expensive and not same quality.
