We never have trouble making an appointment for a time that fits our needs. Additionally - I feel their Covid policies are excellent. There is an air purifier in the waiting room, temp checks upon entering (which IMO only give piece of mind but no actual confidence of lack of virus) and diligently wash pens. I have noticed on occasion that windows were open to increase the air flow, and the office is warm and toasty every time. I am usually terrible at keeping appointments - but with Aspire it is easy. We are always in and out, today I barely sat down before they called us in. In the event of snow cancellation I was also impressed with how quickly they were able to reschedule to accommodate. The only thing keeping it from a five star is the one time I went in and they told me my referral had expired (it hadn't for that visit but the first girl made it sound like it had) and they also wanted me to tell them what insurance is primary - which has always been an issue and when I call both companies I have gotten different answers. Some billing departments figure it out on their own. One insurance company told me to have our pediatrician bill both as primary and see which one works. I now know it's a DOB thing, but at the time someone asks me I'm always thinking your guess is as good as mine.

This was for three cool sculpting sessions I spent over $5,000 on a treatment that was completely ineffective. When I asked the med spa to consider a partial refund, there was no willingness to discuss it--instead, I was pressured to purchase additional treatments. When I requested a full refund, I was told that results were "not guaranteed." I have filed a report with the Rhode Island Attorney General's Consumer Affairs Division because I believe the marketing surrounding these services is misleading. I hope others read this and avoid wasting their time and money as I did. As an aside, the doctor also provided three sessions of Emsculpt, which were equally ineffective--I get a better workout doing regular crunches.

Both my Granddaughter and I are extremely busy and when we were finally able to settle on a mutually agreed upon time, we were super excited, unfortunately a snowstorm hit on the day of our scheduled appointment and Balencia Medspa communicated to us that they would be closed. Certainly understandable given the circumstances. When my Granddaughter and I were able to come up with another mutually agreeable time for our facials, I telephoned them to reschedule. I informed her that our coupons had now expired but she said it was perfectly fine. As we were booking the appointments, she suddenly said "oh, I''m sorry, we can't take your expired Groupon". Someone there was telling her that they wouldn't honor it. I have had Groupons expire before and I am fine with whatever the business says, but in this particular case, it's the business that canceled our appointments and our Groupons were not expired on that original date. I guess it's a sign, but I also think this is poor business practice, and for her to go from a very cheery "yes we can take your expired Groupon" to, "oh sorry, we can't honor it" in a matter of seconds speaks volumes of their complete lack of professionalism. Oh, did I mention that the Groupon expired on March 24, 2026 and I tried to reschedule with it on March 26, 2026. Two whole days!!! Of course we have to respect the decision of the business, but really!!! You are on Groupon because you are trying to increase business, or at least that's how I believe it works, and this is how you conduct business with potential future clientele. Oh well! Parking is horrible down in the area where they are located anyway.

New Years Eve 2014. 9 sessions later, and not only has she done a terrific job with zapping out most of my facial hair (i started very hairy, srsly), but she's really someone I'd be proud to call a friend. She's just so charming and funny. She creates an amazingly relaxing scene, causing for a much less painful and stressful experience. And, in my case, she was so, so helpful and reassuring when I needed to disclose a piece of rather personal info to her before moving forward. Total pro about it. Total cool chick. She's now located inside Primary Walk-In center on Warren Ave in East Providence. Very convenient from 195 and plenty of parking. The front desk staff is equally cool and welcoming, and even a comfy waiting area with TV and a view out to the street. Scenic enough ;) Ultimately the results have been better than I ever hoped for. I will have at least a few more sessions on my face with her, but by now it's mostly finishing up a process I thought would take years. You'll know exactly what to expect because she explains everything in such human terms. The pain of the laser isn't so bad (she's got those squishy stress balls, yeah they help), she's quick, makes sure you're lotioned up to ease the soreness afterwards (at least for face treatments), and makes paying and scheduling effortless. And always timely with appointment times and reliable. I will absolutely make her my first choice if/when I need other body areas lasered. I totally trust her. Would laser with her again. 10/10.

Waited to complete at least 6 sessions before I wrote this review…read more Their "lifetime guarantee" and "throw away the razor" marketing is a bait and switch, and not real at all. The fine print in their contract voids the marketing ploys, so don't buy packages based on that type of thinking, like I did. Their "co-pays" for any sessions after your 8 sessions that are included in every package have just increased by 800%--absolute highway robbery. The copay for my face treatment was $35, and I was just told on the phone that it is now $269. I spent close to $10k on packages from them, because I was so tired of having to shave all the time, and I have hair EVERYWHERE. I was told when I bought all the packages for multiple areas that my appointments would be booked together--another lie. Trying to get appointments for all my areas together was impossible, so I had to keep breaking them up and even going to their Cranston location sometimes because there just wasn't enough availability. Then there were the actual providers doing the treatments. Some providers were awesome, and listened to me when I told them they didn't get a particular area, and needed to go over it again. Others would argue with me, and the worst ones would burn me and leave marks on my body. When I told them during my next session, I kept getting gaslit and told that I may have had something on my skin that caused the burns. No. Absolutely not. They were half crescent-shaped burns that happened because they didn't put the laser head down properly and fully on my skin before they zapped me. Or the cooling head wasn't adjusted properly for some sessions. Overall, my experience with the laser treatments has been good, not great. I still have hair growth in a lot of areas, even after 6 treatments. I have caramel colored skin that lightens a bit in the winter, and dark brown/black hair. I have a lot of hair on my body, and laser has lessened the growth, but it does not go away entirely like they advertise that it will. Their business practices left me feeling like I was robbed, and I will not be going back for touch-ups after my sessions are done. Especially not with these "new prices" they just released. Also, if you have tattoos, you cannot get those areas lasered. It would have been great if someone had told me that before I spent $10k, but of course, they didn't until my first appointment. Thankfully, I don't have many large tattoos covering the areas I needed lasered, but it was yet another thing about their business practices that annoyed me and left me feeling like they're not honest.

After purchasing a recent Groupon for laser hair removal treatments, I went for my first appointment this afternoon. As a newbie to this method, I was a bit nervous and curious about what to expect. I opted to get my underarms done and was assured by the receptionist (and technician!) that it will be completely worth it in the end. Apparently I'll want to wear tank tops all the time once I'm done! The interior of this business is well decorated, comforting, and exudes the quality of a spa. While I waited for my appointment, I sat on a plush red couch, surrounded by the smell of scented candles, and drawn to the Keurig coffees and teas available. My appointment was actually later in the day than I had originally made it for. I was called the day before and informed that a piece needed to be replaced on the laser machine and that they needed to reschedule with me. After much apologizing, I received an appointment later in the day and was told I'd be called in the morning to inform me of the progress of their fix. I received my call today and drove on over. For having had to reschedule, my wait was very quick. She brought me in the treatment room, explained the whole process, gave me a chance to ask any questions I had, and was very attuned to my needs during the entire procedure. I have to say. . . hair follicles certainly do not go out without a fight! I can't say that the procedure was comfortable, but the staff do their best to decrease your discomfort. I was given stress balls to squeeze (which at first reminded me of the "here bite on this so I can chop off your leg" type medicine of the distant past) and had a blast of cold air on my skin during the procedure to take the edge off. The technician did a good job talking to me throughout which also helped distract me from the needle-like pain of the laser. Had I needed her to stop at any time, she was more than willing to do so to give me a break. The actual procedure took less than 15 minutes and I was truly in and out of the office. I was given post care instructions and encouraged to call if I had any further questions or concerns. While I'm not looking forward to the procedure again, I'm definitely looking forward to the results. I'll have to update a long time from now when all six sessions are complete to review the results!
