I had initially called this company to tow my vehicle to a shop about 7 miles away from my home. They arrived in a timely manner and were ready to tow it. The driver who showed up was kind and professional. However, they were going to charge $325 to tow the vehicle 7 miles away. It is less than half that cost to sign up for AAA roadside assistance for an entire year and have them tow the vehicle. I posted a review on google remarking as such so that other people in need of assistance may be ready for the hefty charge. I received an extremely unprofessional response from the business, which I have included on this review. To the business, if you're reading this, no. AAA showed up actually faster than your company did. And I saved over $200. Have a great day. Boy do I love writing good reviews for companies --but this place is not one of them. I was stranded on Washington memorial parkway for 1 hour, after being told they would be there in 20 min, no calls no updates. When I finally got a hold of them--I guess the supervisor had called the guy who was getting my car and he had a terrible attitude "man, I'm on the way bro" seeming agitated. The supervisor then let him know that I was on the line and I could hear him. He finally arrived, not very warm or friendly. Mind you -- I ran over a tree in the middle of the road, not a pretty accident. At least you can be nice. they said they would give me a call first thing in the morning when they drop my car off. Fast forward to the day after, I still haven't received a call by 11a. I finally call them, and Melissa answered the phone and doesn't know if my car is there at the tow lot or not??? She says she would call me back, and never did. I gave her 4 hours before I called back again and she said "oh we just found out we will be taking your car in a couple hours" me expressing concern because I never got a follow up call back. I can't in good conscience recommend this business to anyone. Based on my experience I feel that they are predatory and looking to take advantage of drivers without other options for quick repairs/towing. Had a flat tire and called to get a quote for a 1-mile tow, was quoted $125. I was unable to remove one rusted lug nut from the flat tire but had already lifted the vehicle and removed 4 other lug nuts. Spoke with a coordinator, Melissa, who was very friendly and connected me with a driver immediately. The driver Mo, also very friendly, called and asked what was going on. I told him that I couldn't remove the one lug-nut and was hoping to either have it removed or tow the vehicle the following morning. Mo told me that it is a quick fix and he has tools to remove the final lug nut. Great. Mo and one other person, Hector, showed up at my place promptly and got to work removing the last lug nut. They were able to do this and swap out the tire within 30-45 minutes. They were both extremely helpful and pleasant while assisting me. I estimated that a repair of this nature might cost 50 dollars and was prepared to pay around 100. When I asked for the price which they never quoted me, I was told that it was 270$ with a 10$ credit card fee. That is ridiculous. I asked Mo why I would pay to have them swap the tire at that price when I could simply have had it towed to the shop for $125 dollars. Mo told me he just did what he was asked. I take issue with the fact that he 1.) never gave me a quote before performing a service at over 2x the only price I was ever quoted or asked if I wanted to complete the repair at that price and 2.) didn't think to advise me of any of the cheaper options to have my car fixed. Had I known that this was the price for a "tire replacement" I would have just ate the towing price to get it to the shop where my car was eventually fixed or had them just remove the lugnut and finish changing the stupid tire myself. The shop that fixed my car told me they would be shocked if someone was charged over 100$ for the services that were rendered. I called Rhino again the following morning and spoke with Melissa, who informed me that their supervisor, Tony, is out until 3pm and she would leave a message to call me back. I called again at 530pm or so after not being contacted and was told that the supervisor was unreachable. Now, 2 days later, I've yet to hear from anyone at the company and when I tried to call just now go straight to voicemail. Did the company block my number? Really? I've been nothing but respectful in my communications with all of their employees. Stay as far away from this business as you can. They are pleasant enough to talk to, but are shady and underhanded when it actually comes to the pricing of their services. Congratulations Rhino, you got my 280$ and won't get another cent from me ever. read more

If Zero was an option for stars I would choose it! I was stranded on George Washington Memorial Parkway last Saturday night into Sunday Morning. I had ran out of gas, and I needed a tow. After two unsuccessful attempts at getting a tow company to assist me. My insurance provider reached Rhino. After my insurance company confirmed that Rhino would be the company to assist me, they advised me that I would receive an update shortly by text. This was around 2:30am. Around 3:15am I received a call from the Tow Driver with Rhino confirming my location and that he would be there in 45min. No problem with me, I was happy to be getting the much needed help. So, I am patiently waiting in my car with no heat(temp reads 32 degrees) when 45min passes, then 1hr, then an hour and a half. I try to reach out to Rhino by phone; no answer straight to voice mail. Mail box is full and I cant leave a message. Long story short; I attempted to call Rhino 9 times. They were superpose to be open 24hrs! WTF? Shitty company. I do not recommend at all. The Driver was probably home when he got the call and fell back to sleep. DO NOT CONTACT THIS COMPANY! PS. I had to cancel and have a different company come and assist me. I got home at 7:45AM. Tuesday of this week I called Rhino just to see what type of Bull Shit response they would give me as to why the driver never showed up, The dispatcher was pleasant enough. I honestly cannot day enough positive things about Rhino's. After being left on the side of I495 for over four hours, Rhino's located our vehicle (no small feat considering the other service took over two hours to locate us due to their unfamiliarity with the NCR, evidently), loaded us, and got us to safety within minutes. These guys are GREAT!!! They really went the extra mile to help us out the other evening. We were visiting DC and somehow had lost the keys to our rental car. We felt like the "out of towners" stranded in the parking garage at the Franconia Metro Station. We had limited communication as one cell phone was dead and the other running low on battery power. They took the time to text message their ETA, assured us that they were on their way and not to worry. They'd be able to get the car out of the parking garage before they closed. When they arrived, they were most understanding, polite and professional. What was really impressive was they they had anticipated our needs and brought along an Uber driver to take us anywhere we needed to go because they needed to tow the car to the maintenance yard and we couldn't rent another car at that location. Emir, the Uber driver was great, he took us back to our hotel, we caught our flight on time and came back home safely. I'm not big into writing reviews, but the remarkable service I received from this company is well worth sharing. Coming back from grabbing a bite to eat in DC one night, a tire on my car blew on 495. A pretty normal and inevitable instance for car owners, right. Wrong. My boyfriend had lost the wheel lock key to my tires previously, so switching out my flat was next to impossible. A tow was the only option, only problem is we were in Arlington and live in Manassas - a good 30 miles from where we were stranded. Having the mind of an economist, naturally I began to get overwhelmed at the thought of how much money I was about to shell out just for a tow. Needless to say I was desperate to get home to my son and began frantically calling places to get price quotes. Everyone wanted almost $200, and I had just spent the majority of my money earlier in the day paying my sons school enrollment fees. I didn't have $200, just $100, and do you think any tow company in Arlington was willing to come help us? There was only one - Rhino's. They really helped me out that night, and I thank God for the owner who personally came out to tow us. I thanked him the entire way back to Manassas for doing such a solid, and to this day I still feel indebted to him. A positive glowing review is the least I can do to show my appreciation, and I still feel as if that's not doing enough. I will never forget that night. Do not do business with Advance Towing or Rhino Wreckers. They will fail you with their extreme level of incompetency and you will eat the cost. Shawn Salartash and Kelli King will scam you. I have no reason to lie or take the time to tell my story on Yelp other than to protect other customers. My 1970 Corvette was inoperable and required service. I had my car put in a mechanic shop and upon completion of service I arranged to have it towed back to my house since the tires required replacement and weren't roadworthy. I hired Rhino Wreckers Towing on 3/9/2017 to tow my car from the shop to my house. I spoke to Kelli King, the company dispatcher and she arranged towing for 3/10/2017. I provided my credit card information and explained that I would pay for the mechanic bill over the phone so that my car would be released to Rhino's without my presence. Kelli assured she would call the mechanic directly on the day of towing to ensure payment was good and they could tow. On 3/10/2017 I waited til 4pm and then inquired with Rhino about the status of my car since it had yet to arrive at my residency and was unclear why towing had not occurred yet since the mechanic shop was closing at 5pm. I spoke to Kelli again and she said she didn't call the mechanics as discussed hence the no towing service. MISTAKE #1 OF KELLI AND RHINO WRECKERS. Wish I realized the level of incompetency I was dealing with Kelli and Rhino's. Kelli relayed that she would arrange for towing service and my car would be delivered that evening. I wasn't hopeful since the mechanic closed in an hour. I get a call from Kelli at 830pm and she said the mechanic shop closed before 5pm. She made contact with the mechanic shop and supposedly a shop rep said they would send an employee to open the gate after hours for the towing service. Kelli said the tow truck driver waited four hours onsite at the mechanic shop for the gate to be open to no avail. I didn't believe her story since the name of the employee she cited at mechanic shop did not match the name of any actual employee. Plus the story of a tow truck driver waiting idly for four hours made no sense. Kelli assured me my car would be delivered the following day when the shop opened. MISTAKE #2 OF KELLI AND RHINO WRECKERS - Making up an outlandish story. On 3/11/2017, Kelli calls and confirms that her tow truck driver is near the site and can pick up my car. Later that day, I get a call from Kelli stating that their trucks are having issues with flat bed pressure and they can't tow my car. Supposedly my car requires a special kind of tow truck (keep in mind it's just a vintage coupe). She says that they would try to get it taken care that day but if they can't get their trucks working then they would have their sister tow service company conduct the tow for me and drop my tow charge from $175 to $125 or $135 for the inconvenience. She said she would take out the difference in her own pay check, which of course is something I would not encourage as I think Rhino company should take the price hit. She assured the sister company would pick up my car at 830am when the mechanic shop opened. On 3/12/2017 between 0830am and 1130pm, I didn't have any phone calls or messages from Rhino so I assumed my car was delivered and handled while I was at work. I am in the military and work in a facility which I do not have a ready access to my phone, so I ensured to check my phone a couple of times that morning to avoid any snafus. When I get off work, I see that Kelli and the sister tow service, Advance Towing, called me and relayed that my credit card declined. It turns out Kelli wrote down the wrong month for my expiration month, hence the decline. MISTAKE #3 OF KELLI AND RHINO WRECKERS - Unable to data entry. I corrected the credit card issue and asked Kelli if Advance Towing would try to charge me extra towing and storage fee since they took my car back to their HQs rather than deliver it. She said no, that she spoke with Shawn Salartash the self-claimed owner and manager of Advance Towing and he would charge me the original agreed upon amount of $150 since she acknowledged she mistakenly wrote the wrong expiration date. Shawn called me shortly after to arrange delivery for that evening and he said that I would be subjected to an overall bill of $325, including an extra towing and storage fee. I said that I would not pay the extra $175 since I did not make the accounting mistake and all of this could have been avoided if my car was delivered at any of the three previously agreed upon dates. I did not hire Advance Towing since they have the poor Yelp and BBB rating. Had I know that Rhino were outsourcing my service to Advance Towing as their sister company, I would have declined the service altogether. Shawn and I engaged in a lengthy, heated conversation in which I refused to pay the full $325. We do a three way call and Kelli is brought into the conversation and she asserts that we all agreed on the $15 read more
