While FCI is a franchised business, Marty is the owner / operator of this location - he clearly takes great pride in his business and it shows with his patience, attention to detail, and great communication. After reaching out, Marty was quick to respond and work with me to find a time to come out and give us a quote and show us samples. He arrived on time and walked us through the process and estimate. He had a wide variety of high quality carpet options and was patient while we looked at various choices. There was no pressure to make a decision that day, but we reached out a few days after to confirm our choice and book an install date. He texted me with a reminder a few days out from the install, and he and his team showed up on time. Within a few hours, the carpet was beautifully installed. We had considered doing this project ourselves, but it's clear that we would not have been able to achieve the level of craftsmanship of Marty's team. This was a relatively inexpensive home upgrade and has greatly improved the safety of our stairs, as well as helping with echoing and sound (especially for our dogs going up and down). Steve had guided us through the process faultlessly. Of their thousands of rugs, Steve found just the right one. The experience was delightful, fun and the rug was perfect for the area. Since then, Steve has helped us with other rugs. And we have also gotten Barak's valuable input. Without their expertise we would not be as pleased as we are. Staff are always nice but there has never been more than 2 registers open at a time and most of the time it's just one. They have a huge selection of books....all kinds including children's books. I buy for my kids here all the time. It's just hard to find if you are looking for something specific. They keep up with items from the current season which is nice. Some prices are better than other stores bur some are not. If you sign up to be a member you get emails about current items, discounts on your order and invitations to special events. I have 2 Ekornes chairs that are 10 years old, extremely comfortable, still in style, and look brand new. I was shocked to see how much furniture prices have increased post-covid, and good luck getting custom pieces in less than 9-12 mos. due to supply chain issues. Most places don't sell showroom models, either. Buy "made in NC" for faster (yet still slow) delivery. Most of Ambiente's pieces are made overseas. I was looking for a sofa sectional. The first one I saw was beautiful. Price tag showed $11K. Who can afford a sofa that costs more than a car? I found a suitable sofa sectional at Bassett, but I left the store after I found out it was $8K. "It's 30% off!" Down from 10K. Since furniture costs are so high now, you might as well pick something you like enough to keep for decades. I even shopped online for sofas and discovered they are junk not made to last long but suitable for a first apartment.

Candles-smack on the side of the jar instead of on the bottom. Platters, glassware, the list goes on and on. Tonight, I'm having a dinner party so I decided to take it off. I have nail polish on, so can't use nail polish remover-and wanted to avoid having to soak this for hours, but I can't even get it off with a razor blade or a very sharp sharp knife. Ridiculous! My favorite part of the store is the kitchen section. I always find things I love there, especially the Rae Dunn products. My one issue with kitchen section is they don't have kitchen scales. It seems they have everything but. Everytime I have gone there I have looked (and not just this HomeGoods). This particular store is clean, not overcrowded (even in the holiday season) and has plenty of products. Rarely do I leave there without something in a bag!
