After the roofers did their thing, Arrow came back and addressed part of our ventilation issues with fixed baffles, air sealing the attic, covered the can-lights, and blowing in new insulation. Despite all this, they did a great job, working well past dark to make sure the work was completed. Five stars for their workers. On the other hand, their business practices are quite poor. They emailed an invoice with terms of Net 15. Five days later I received a phone call from them dunning me for payment. Seriously? If they wanted immediate payment, they should send their invoices Net Due. For a business to either not understand invoice terms, or worse, ignore their own terms, is inexcusable. I told them to pound sand and paid them later than I otherwise would have, but still within the stated terms. One star for business practices.

(oh & their business address is in mt vernon but they seem to serve all over western washington.)

They showed up and set traps and told me they would be back to check them in a week. 10 days later they still hadn't showed and hadn't called to let me know they weren't going to show so I had to call and find out what was going on. They arranged to get someone out later in the week. I asked the tech when he'd be back and was told I had to call the office to schedule the next visit. Apparently, Classic Pest Control & Insulation is unable to schedule visits in advance. If you want a pest control company that will keep you informed of what's going on and will contact and communicate with you, I suggest calling someone else. This is not a "customer first" company.

I was hearing faint noises in the attic once in a while but thought it was the house "settling"…read more Then when I went up there to route some wiring, I found a disgusting mess of what was left behind by bats! Being too old to handle the huge task myself, I called around for estimates to remove the insulation, clean, seal any opening in which allow rodents access and then reinsulate. The only one that I found that did all that and more was Insulation Co. I called and talked to Jo Estrada and he gave me a quote and a detailed description of what that all includes: Insulation removal, complete cleaning, deodorizing and sanitizing. Sealing of all gaps not just for rodent control, but air gaps around vents, wire boxes and joints. The spot that allowed bat ingress and egress was sealed with a heavy duty screen/expanded metal and a foam fill product. Sorry bats! The hard working team was on time, completely covered the garage floor with a huge sheet of plastic and got to work. Rafael Diaz was the team leader and introduced himself and explained what he and his team were going to do. After all the aforementioned work, they removed all the old cardboard eave vent protectors and replaced them with new ones and stapled/tacked them in place. Good thing because some of the old ones were falling down. They also removed all the bathroom vent flex hoses and replaced them with hard sheet metal tubing. Then sealed the joints and wrapped the vent tubing with insulation! Then, they blew in 14-15 inches of new cellulose insulation including above the garage by my request. They even tacked insulation on the access cover to the attic which is in the garage and didn't have any originally! The work site, garage and driveway were all cleaned up and I couldn't be happier. While they may not be the cheapest, they were fast (in and out in 4 hours), very good and did more that the other companies promised. I apologize for the long review, I'm just so relieved that my attic is in better shape now than when I had the house built! I'm sure it will help with the ever increasing electric bill!
