They respect your time and your home-from taking off their shoes as they walked around getting their measurements, to the installers who cleaned up after they were done. Ian and dad, Robert, were quick to respond to any issues or concerns I may have had. They even went a step further. When the windows came in from the factory, they had to be up to Ian's tough standards. I had one window that didn't meet Ian's expectations and he sent it back and ordered a new one-that window never even made it my house. We ordered three windows and French doors from Energy Windows via Ian Bloch one of the owners…read more Presentation and pricing were positive. We were told it would take 4 to 6 weeks for the materials to come in, which was accurate. The challenge was the installation of the door by Ian's brother in law. There was a 1/2 inch gap at the top of the door on one side. When I mentioned it, I was told the manufacturer ProVia would have to fix it and they would call me within two weeks - no call after three weeks, so I called at 10:00 on the Friday before Memorial Day and was told to call back next week. Called Tuesday and received a call back on Wednesday saying they would check with the manufacturer. ProVia called on Friday to say it would be three weeks for an appointment- meanwhile the door would not lock, so I propped a door at night against the door. ProVia actually came out two days early and fixed the lock and molding but we were told the 1/2 inch gap needed to fixed by Energy Windows, so after another round of calls they finally fixed the gap. Frustrating experience and disappointing results. A little empathy would have gone a long way.

He walked across my grass which Jackie says is against company policy. He also did not wear booties, again which Jackie said is a violation of company policy. To make matters worse, Jackie was at my house while this was going on and didn't once think to advise her repairman to wear booties. I saw the repairman walk across my grass as well as an oil stain on my pavers, and then he tracked that all over my house. What an absolute disgrace! Extremely hard pass on these jokers!

Junior even found that the original sliding door (that was installed by the original builder years ago) was set too low to the ground which is why it was always getting wet over the years resulting in warping and rusting along the bottom. I purchased an older home in 2017 and the siding did not look bad but 6 years later I noticed lots of problems. My biggest problem was it was always so cold in my home. I had a few windows replaced and the attic insulated but that did not really help. When the windows were replaced I noticed significant deterioration underneath the siding and asked the contractor about it. He told me it happens and replaced the windows but did not reframe them. I thought about selling my house to avoid dealing with the problems. I had three different companies give me an estimate for the siding. The first was way too expensive. The second company Cherry Roofing and Siding in Cherry Hill, gave me a competitive quote but were unable to do the job. . I later found out that the company is having internal problems and they are not doing a great job for many of their clients. I was very fortunate that they never touched my house. I almost gave up, but then I decided to use the Better Business Bureau. I found American Construction. They have an A+ rating. They are also located in Cherry Hill. When I called I was able to talk to one of the owners Gregg. I told him about my negative experiences with the other companies and he promised me nothing but integrity. Gregg kept his promise, his team was incredible. As I said earlier my house is old and had lots of deterioration underneath the siding and because the siding was poorly installed there was also some water damage. I expected the final price to be more than the original quote, but it was well worth it. American Construction replaced all of the damaged plywood, gave me new insulation , framed the windows and put on James Hardie siding. Not only did they restore my house, they were quick and professional. They started on Monday and by Thursday the project was finished. Friday they came back and cleaned up, placing all of my personal items back in their original spots. Doing something this major on your house can be very stressful and inconvenient. . American Construction took all my stress away and I did not suffer any inconvenience at all.. I feel like I have a brand new house. I feel so much better about living here now that I know what is going on underneath the siding. I have peace and joy about my home because of American Construction. Waiting for the windows took a while so I think we did end up waiting like 2-3 months between that visit and getting them installed which was the only negative of our experience. Installation team was fantastic. I think there were 3-4 people there. Ed was in charge. Just nice guys, we felt comfortable having them in the house. Cleaned up very well. Everything looks great and very professionally installed. Kept us updated with some random things they found (rotting wood) when reframing the windows. Again answered questions anytime we had them. On time both coming and leaving. Cost seems reasonable for what we got and from speaking with friends but I'm no window expert. Planning on having them come back out next year to finish the rest of the windows. Good experience overall.

It feels like a major home renovation. And in a lot of ways, it was -- the last three windows that Louie and Ameon expertly replaced for me turned out to be fully rotted around the frames, unbeknownst to me. As with the previous job, they handled everything with extreme care and attention to detail. The house was again spotless when they left. I felt like I was in great hands throughout.
