Tried calling the office and emailing to no avail. My initial experience with George Logan was positive. I was in my new home for a few weeks when I began having water damage and other issues in my basement from shoddy flipping work. I was happy with all the work he did there. At the time, I asked him to give me written proof of the work that was done, which I never received. At that time, he also had inspected and recommended a new roof, as I live in a very old house and the roof was not new. The roof was replaced by his company and I was relieved at the time, although I STILL had not gotten anything in writing. In August of this year, (about a year after this roof was done), I came home from work one morning to find that it was basically raining in my living room. I thought it couldn't have been the roof, but it was indeed. I contacted George Logan, and in his defense he did offer to come look and make repairs, but I had another roofer who was recommended come look at it first. This roofer said that the materials used were for a slanted roof (I have a flat roof), and there were large cracks and holes in the entire roof where all this rainwater was coming in. At this point I told Mr. Logan that I was having the work done and not to bother coming back to my home. I have now paid for two roof repairs and have water damage throughout my house. He still has never provided me with any written documentation or guarantee of his work. I have asked him repeatedly. I was naive as a new homeowner and trusted his work on his word. Really would like to thank George and his team for coming to help with my loft renovation. The project was half-done (and needed to be rechecked) by a previous person which added a layer of complexity that could've been hard to manage if there were hidden issues. George went above and beyond to help me with my situation and the end result was better than what I could have anticipated. I met George Logan at a Yelp event for business owners so I knew he was serious about his reputation and taking care of his clients. My husband and I had a handful of projects that we have been wanting to complete for some time, so I took his card and reached out via text (his preferred communication method) a few days later to set up a consultation. After the consultation, George sent me an estimate. My husband and I decided to remove one of the lower-priority projects from the list to cut back on the total cost, which wasn't a problem. Construction began a week or so later with the plumbing work, which lasted one day. One week after that, the drywall and surface area parts of the project were completed by a different crew. George accepts Venmo payments (which is super convenient!), and he was onsite at the start of each day to make sure his crew was informed. Everyone was friendly and professional. I'd absolutely hire George again and would recommend his business to anyone with home improvement projects that are too big to handle by a novice! read more

However, he was the most flexible in arranging times to meet and came across as the most professional. I needed quality for this job (over price) and therefore chose George to perform the work. The drywall work was impeccable. It was fast and looked like the repair never occurred. Tito worked hard and diligently so that the overall repair stayed on pace. I had a color tint issue with the painting job. I dealt with George directly and we worked together to come to a solution benefiting us both. He was honest and easy to deal with. What can I say about George without gleaming. I had a leak in my kitchen that was caused by water getting in when it rained from an opening in my siding. It destroyed the soffits above my cabinets. I'm so glad I found Logan Construction. George came out to look at the damage and was prompt in the repairs. He and his crew were AMAZING!!!. I found George on Yelp to fix my bathroom shower floors. I live in a poorly built new construction, George did not hesitate to come over and look at the project like some other contractors on here, he did not mind it was a new construction, nor did he charge us for an estimate. The work that was done by his crew was superb, they minimized the amount of clean up I had to do by being mindful during their work process. They also offered convenient weekend times so I didn't have to take off work. George and his workers always arrived on time. I'm ecstatic about how great my shower floor turned out, and I would highly recommend George to anyone! Since I had such a good experience with George, I hired him again to fix our dryer vent system. My cycle was taking up to 2.5 hours to dry, which was just ridiculous. My property developer thought I didn't know how to use my dryer properly. George came through and said although he has never put in a booster fan for a dryer before, he did not hesitate that he could. His crew was friendly and clean up after themselves. They communicated with me on their times to get here, and they worked on the weekends so I did not have to take off. They thought about how to mount the fan in my laundry closet through and through, everything was planned out properly. I've had George do two jobs for me the last couple years and have been happy with the communication and results.

Reviews are almost all excellent, but like a few others he was a no show two separate times. Scheduled an estimate, I followed up the day before and he gave a short response that he'd be there but was vague on a time. Texted the next day and he never responded back. A few days later, he texted asking if he could could come out the following Monday. We agreed that would work, I followed up on Monday morning but he again didn't respond and didn't show up. I get that shit happens, but this is a rental unit and to have my tenant or myself taking time out of our schedule to give him access and then him not showing up is unacceptable. I recently hired George to repair my roof. Turns out my roof had never been repaired properly and needed a full teardown ripping it up, we found it had cedar shake, tin, pitch, asphalt and rubber layers all on top of each other(150 years of roof). While the job took longer than expected for teardown, it was done quickly considering the unexpected difficulty and was done for a very reasonable price. Now the roof looks beautiful and there are no leaks. A month later I noticed a hole developing in my sidewalk with a giant eroded cave underneath. When I called George he came immediately, gave me a fair estimate, and rescheduled his jobs to get me done first thing the next day, as we were both worried about the danger of the sidewalk collapsing! Our whole experience was great. We are extremely happy with the final product and were happy with all of the work that went into the project. George quickly communicated with us via Yelp to set up a time to check out the work and to provide an estimate. He was responsive to any message (including text messages- which is a total plus rather than having to wait on return phone calls). He was able to arrange a time to stop by later in the evening to give us an estimate which was necessary due to our work schedules. He provided us with an estimate that was very competitive with others we had received. Unlike others that we have had in the past, his communication was by far the biggest bonus as we felt confident that nothing would be left incomplete. I can't speak to any work that he's done because I never even got an estimate. George came out to quote some remodeling on our newly purchased home and was very prompt and professional. He left telling me that I would receive a quote in a few days. When those days went by without any information I reached out to see when we could expect the quote. He didn't respond for several days and finally told me he was very busy and would get back to me in two weeks or so. Now that time has passed and now he doesn't respond to texts or calls from me so I assume he's not going to be quoting my job. (He does leave his read receipt on, on his texts so I'm very sure he's getting them). This is frustrating on a number of levels as we are not local to Philadelphia so coming back down to meet another contractor is a huge inconvenience and also because we've waited so long for the quote. Given his wonderful reviews he was our contractor of choice. It feels very disrespectful to not even be given the courtesy of a response. Logan construction employs a WONDERFUL mason who repaired the stucco on our house (better than it was new!), and did a nice job patch pointing the front and back of our house in a few areas where the mortar had crumbled. Mr Logan was exceptionally responsive to my texts (a RARITY in this business!); the price was fair and the repair was done properly, efficiently, and - best of all- they respected our property. Great care was taken to protect my backyard and everything was cleaned up when they were done. An old fashion work ethic that's hard to find now-a-days.
