They showed up when they said they would for the estimate and the installation. There employees are excellent and very neat. This company is a joke. So i called in may for a quote to repair my roof. I decided to get the roof fixed and emailed for a copy of the quote. The quote was a little more than another company. I called up and asked if they match competitors pricing. The gentleman tells me that his boss is on vacation but will contact me in a few days if he can get me a better price. It is now two weeks and no response. Numerous emails and calls and nothing returned. why? This is a very unreliable company. DJK roofing did my roof a few years back. The roof looked great, but more importantly I noticed my heating and cooling bills went down. I guessed this was due to the thick rubber like layer they put down before putting the roof down. So why am i writing a review now - a few year later? Because my garage got moldy and I noticed a wet spot on my ceiling. I couldn't imagine how it could be due to the roofing job (having seen the materials they used and how they quickly and professionally finished the job) but I did not know what else it could be. So I called them to look if it was due to the roof. They came the same day, spent a few hours, taking off part of the roof above the leak and sealing other areas the roof vent etc. They couldn't find any issue with the roof. But the problem got worse, so I called them back. Once again they showed up the same day, and their boss Pete showed up with extra material ready to redo work even if they can't find anything. At the same time I had a contractor over to repair my chimney. That contractor also does other work including roofing. He spotted the issue - it was my vinyl siding which was old and damaged. He pointed it out to me and told me the roofing job was excellent (as I originally thought) and not the cause of the problem, I am grateful to DJK roofing for coming out right away to look and address any issues even thought it turned out to be a problem with something else and not the roof they installed. Bottom line - go with DJK roofing- not only will you get a great job -- but they'll stand behind their work years later. read more

DJK is about as slick an operation as they come; fast-talking salespeople and owner. They give you nice brochures and samples of shingles to keep. They were a bit higher than others, but the samples and brochures gulled me into hiring them. Other roofing companies were straightforward, with simple written estimates. When I signed with DJK, the salesman asked if I wanted some sort of extra warranty for $500. After looking at the GAF lifetime warranties that came with the job, I couldn't imagine why I would and said no. On the day of the job, another guy showed up, very glib and in charge. One of the first things he asked me was whether the salesman offered me the extra warranty. I told him yes. This guy --- who I later determined was the owner --- said he'd give me the extra warranty now for $300. I again said no. In the contract, it said they'd replace plywood "as needed" at $60 a sheet. A van pulled up and unloaded six sheets of plywood. Well, you don't think they had any idea of lifting and reloading that heavy plywood --- unused --- do you? Of course they didn't, "discovering" four sheets of "rotting" plywood in my old roof. I looked at the pieces of my old "rotting" plywood in their dumpster after they left. They were no worse than any of the other old sheets they left on my roof, but it was a neat way for them to pocket $240 from me. The owner was surprisingly openly arrogant about complaints. He told me the Better Business Bureau was a joke, that all you had to do to maintain your stellar rating was to to tell the BBB that you "addressed the problem", not that you did anything to mollify the customer's complaint. He also said that DJK constantly monitored YELP, and if there was a smidge of a complaint, he told his relatives and friends to flood YELP with glowing reviews to squelch not-as-happy-as-could-be reviews. So I paid extra for a very good roof, but I could have gotten the same quality roofing job for hundreds of dollars cheaper from other contractors who don't pad the bill with slick brochures, slick talk and shady add-ons. Djk just replaced my roof and were extremely prompt and professional. From the estimate to actually completing the job everything went as planned. When I contacted DJK after records revealed they put the roof on a home I inherited- and inspection reports revealed the roof and the chimney have damage due to the contractor's neglect to install flashing on the roof, I was asking them to make it right. Their response? Became irate, insisted they don't offer a lifetime warranty (on a roof I am told should have another 10 years of useful life in it), and hung up. My parents were senior citizens at the time they were decieved by this company. read more

DJK roofing did our roof last month and we are very happy with the results! My husband discovered them from seeing one of their signs on someone else's lawn in another neighborhood so we gave them a call for a quote. When we purchased our Moorestown home 2 years ago, we knew we were on borrowed time with our roof so once we had the funds we immediately started getting quotes. Pete came to our home in April and was very professional, looked in our attic, took a look at the roof and gave us a high end quote as well as a low end quote by the end of the day, both were reasonable after the other quote we had received from a national company who did nothing but harass us. We scheduled our roof to be replaced approx. 2 weeks later! The team that worked on our roof was very professional, started at 7 AM in the morning and finished by 3:00 PM, unfortunately due to a heat wave, it took them 2 days to complete it but was worth it. They left no mess and were careful of our deck and any flowers and bushes planted in the front yard. I love hiring local and would recommend DJK roofing to anyone in the Moorestown area! Apparently all our neighbors are just as happy with our roof as we are since DJK has done or will be doing the roof of 3 houses on our block! read more

Happy customer here! With the heavy rains we had a few weeks back, we had a leak in our roof and the other Yelp reviews here led me to DJK Roofing. Pete was very responsive, came out to see where the issue was, took a picture from up on the roof so he could show me what the issue was, and promptly put together a proposal. Within 2 days of signing the proposal, my roof was fixed and I had one less worry on my mind. Great experience. Fair price, quick response, quality work!! It was a small job involving a piece of aluminum trim the wind had blown off my house. When Pete arrived to give me an estimate and realized the trim was undamaged, he had someone come over later that day to nail it back up. He is a great guy who explains things in easy to understand terms. Pete explained I was fortunate the trim was undamaged. Otherwise I would have had to pay for a whole roll of it and faced the difficult decision selecting something to match the weathered trim on the rest of the house...a job with a much different cost. The roof work they did on my house 8-9 years ago was done so poorly, it has multiple leaks and a huge hole in the wood sheathing. Most of the wood sheathing has water damage and the entire roof has to be replaced. Whats worst is when you contact them for service/repair. They answer your calls at first but after realizing it may be a warranty work, they DON"T CALL YOU BACK and BLOCK YOUR CALLS! I have attempted to reach them multiple times over the weeks and my calls go directly to voice mail but picks up immediately from a different number! Very shady business practice!!! You would have better results giving a hammer to your drunken uncle. Don't waste your money on these guys. They showed up and didn't greet us they just climbed on the roof. Also none of their work Is under a warranty or garenteed. Slap yourself for even considering hiring these fools. read more

called and left a VM for estimate - no response. followed up via a form on their website. received a call back and set up time for the estimate. Pete came to our home and said he'd have an estimate to me by the weekend. sent an email Sunday asking for the estimate that i hadn't yet received. Pete responded with a breakdown of the price. i responded asking for a revised estimate with one of the jobs removed since the overall price was a bit higher than anticipated. no response. called and left a voicemail asking for a follow-up revised estimate. still no response. we ended up going with another company who did the entire job about $400 cheaper. apparently Pete doesn't seem interested in jobs where he can only make a measly $1300. can't speak for his quality of work but eventually he won't have any work because he can't conduct the business-side with any sort of courtesy or professionalism. read more
