OK, it's a risk giving a review to a pest company because it implies that...well, you have pests…read more But for us, that just meant a few ants early in the season. And we knew we needed to take care of it before a few ants became a lot of ants! We used Bethwood last year and this year we were a repeat customer. Al from Bethwood is smart, capable, and in just a short time the house was ready for a spring, summer and fall without ants! While we don't look forward to having more ants in the future, next spring we'll be ready to call Al at Bethwood to get it taken care of!

I could not be any happier with the pest control pros at Bearclaw. As the temperatures outside…read moredropped, much to my dismay I discovered that I had a mouse issue in my basement. Those little critters were snacking on some of my favorite treats! And they were not shy about leaving their droppings EVERYWHERE. As I had never had a mice issue before this was incredibly stressful. I looked around at several different pest control companies and ended up going with Bearclaw because they were the most responsive to my inquiry. On the day they were scheduled to come out, the tech was right on time in the window provided. What I really liked is that he spent a lot of time explaining the process. I learned how important it was to seal any possible entry points for the mice as they could squeeze into spaces as small as a dime. The tech went around the exterior of my house looking for gaps and sealed a few. He thought they were coming in through the basement casing windows. He said that would prevent any more from getting in. Then, he set some old school snap traps which I appreciated because they had no poison and no glue. Within a few days the traps had gotten a few of the mice. And now a month and a half later, they do not appear to have returned. So, a solid A+ rating from me. And what I liked best of all is that they did not try to upsell me on anything. The tech was very straight in saying they could come back if I needed/wanted but I could probably remove the used traps myself if I was up for it. EVERY other company tried to sell me plans which I did not need. These guys are the best; give them a try!

Even though he was in Hamden and I'm in Madison, I crossed my fingers he'd come this far. He did so as a favor when he was in the area. When we determined that we needed to spray the perimeter (which he came back to do another time when it wasn't so damp out), he stayed in touch with me to learn about progress after the spray to make sure it was effective. He clearly loves his life's calling, and is a delight to work with. From now on, I will have him come every spring (and whenever I spot a yellow jacket's nest as well!)
