I can't say enough nice things about the people at this company and the service I received. The inspector was friendly and informative and made me comfortable with the process; I learned quite a bit about termites and how they operate as well. The technicians were cheerful and considerate of my landscaping while they did their job, and they even fixed my mailbox for me! I was pleasantly surprised that Terminix offered financing, which made the project absolutely doable for me. I would recommend Terminix to anyone. read more

Horrible company. These grifters sold us a package to get rid of our rats and . We paid them $1500, and 3 months later, we still have rats. Spent easily 15 hours on the phone with them over those 3 months trying to get them to finish the job they started. In the end, they didn't finish or refund any of our money and now we have to hire someone else. read more

Got a free inspection, had to call the company to get one. The site wasn't working- don't rely on it. and the guy called A day before to confirm again. And never showed up in the time frame . Sorry, he showed up a half hour after. Ans told me the landlord had to call. So she did, and set it up. Then when they confirmed they told her the whole building has to be inspected. I have been serviced by this company for the past few months and the communication is HORRIBLE. The technician never showed up today and rescheduled my appointment for a different day without informing me. They have changed the date of my service without informing me twice. I asked to reschedule for the following week to a day that actually works for my schedule and they said they can't schedule past the 31st. When I asked to speak to a manager they said a "request will be put in" this is now the second time I've had to request to speak to a manager. Don't bother with this company they will not communicate with you and they won't call you back in a timely fashion (I'm talking days waiting for a call back) it's not worth the headache. I won't be using this company in the future and I definitely won't be recommending this place to anyone I know. read more

Fraudulent sales practice, service not performed, dishonest resolution process. I authorized service of my home for termites in April of 2019 with the understanding that the large amount was due to the fact that I was paying for regular service and inspection of my home and property for termite activity for one year. Ten bait stations were installed and the invoice was more than the agreed amount. And then the amount I was charged was even more than that. Multiple phone calls resulted in an online rep promising me a refund of the difference between the quote and the charge, but that was never credited back to my card. In October, I called to request an inspection, as no servicing or inspection had taken place in the intervening six months (which is what the sales rep told me I was paying for). I scheduled the inspection, but nobody showed up during the designated time, and nobody called. Repeated calls to the national headquarters have resulted only in promises the "branch manager" would return my call and resolve my issue, but he did not do so multiple times after the service reps promised he would. I finally received a return call this morning, and after extensive phone tag, I finally spoke to the branch manager, who told multiple lies about the service: that he didn't know what the bait was made of (Trelona), that he didn't know how much it cost (it's $20 per station on the invoice, which is a big markup in the first place), that a regular consumer was not allowed to handle it (you can buy Trelona stations at Home Depot). I offered to let them keep a fair amount for the ten baits and the installation service, but he refused to even discuss a refund of any amount. He promised that I would see the original refund they promised back in April, but he said he did not have to return any of the rest of the money. There were multiple points of dishonestly and fraud in this process: the sales rep promising regular service that was not part of their plan to perform, the requested service that was not performed when scheduled, the commitments to return calls that were not returned, and the demonstrable lies of the branch manager. Folks, they install about $200 worth of termite bait, charge you about 7 times that, and then give you the runaround when you try to get what you paid for or a reasonable refund. We paid $1200 for a guarantee for pest control (mice). The Sales person, John, said they do not use sticky traps or poison (they put out a LOT of sticky traps). It is 3+ weeks later and we cannot get the service manager to call us back. Only the Sales person will respond and just like Li M.'s review, John can't get the service manager, Tim, to return our calls. Terminix disappeared--the mice, however, are still here! That is LOT of money down the drain. read more

Signed for a quarterly spray to be done on the outside of the house and on the same trip asked that traps be set for mice. When the technician showed up i asked him which service he was performing and was told it was just the traps when it was supposed to be for both services. I had to call to set up the second trip for the house to be sprayed since the technician did not complete it the first time. Then they sent me a bill for the spraying that i had to call for them to come do cause it wasn't done correct the first time. After several attempts to get a manager one finally called and told me that services were done so the bill stays as it. DO NOT USE TERMINIX for any services. We will be looking elsewhere read more

I have called Terminix at least 4 times regarding an invoice for a July service where my house was not serviced. Each call ended with my believing that the issue was resolved after speaking with a manager. During the last 2 conversations, I requested a call from the home office if the issue was not resolved. Today, I spoke with Jasmine (manager) and was told that John Laplant in the main office noted that exterior service was performed, charges were correct, that is final and they will not return call. I did not receive exterior service. There was no notification left at my home. This is a health concern to my dogs and the children who play in my yard. I have never dealt with a company with such poor customer service that they refuse to return a call. I am now being told that I will be sent to collections for $136.13 for a service I did not receive. read more

Ultimately had to file a complaint with the better business bureau and the ct dept of consumer protection. Manager Steve is non responsive, awful customer service. Only saving grace was the field salesman John, but even he can't seem to get my money back. No word from John's manager either, but he's been informed of this issue a few times. Had terminix come out for termite services. After completing the job all of the containers that contained the posion to kill the termites were improperly placed and a few were put in places where I had removed shrubs and new ones were to be planted after asking them not to do so. I called terminix to fix the issues stated above and had a technician come out without being being contacted. They only moved one of the containers that I had complained about and then left without even knowing they had come by to fix the issues. I called terminix again and made another appointment and this time the technician did not show up. I was unable to get ahold of the technician who made the new appointment for me after trying to contact him a few different ways. read more

I wish I could put zero stars. Never has a company continually shown such poor management. First, it's run by a main hub so you physically can't call your local branch. Every time I have to get something done (change an appointment, get an appointment, change a Philip be number) it takes 3-4 calls because it has to go through a huge system. 3 times this month, the technician never showed up after a time was set for them to. 4 times I called to change my phone number because they kept notifying a different number. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. Terminix came out to my mothers house 3 weeks ago to investigate a large rodent in the attic. During the consultation my mother was told there were multiple squirrels making a nest within her attic. This was not the case. They inspected the house and made sure to make my mother sign a contract at the consult. After multiple visits the techs were not able to determine what kind of animal it was and continued to say they were squirrels. After that we kept hearing the noise and investigated. We found out it was a groundhog, not squirrels. We set traps since they only set mouse traps. Within a day we caught the rodent in our own traps. We called the people from Terminix to cancel our subscription. They said fine but we still had to pay. They literally did nothing in there two fifteen minute visits. The man said if we had given them more time they would have caught it. We gave them three weeks. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

I had a terminix contract for about a year. During that time I had scheduling problems and contacted supervisors to hopefully resolve the problem. Not one time did a supervisor get back to me. This last time I had a problem with the technician that came to my home. He was extremely rude and made me feel uncomfortable. I again contacted customer service who then tells me a supervisor will get back to me within 24-48 hours. A week later no response from Terminix or any supervisor. They need to work on their customer service. I cancelled my contract. read more

My mother had an issue with a large rotent a groundhog to be exact and after being swayed to sign a very expensive year contract the workers after we told them we saw the groundhog and it was large set simple mouse traps not nearly big enough didnt respond well and from what we saw made zero effort or the corrext effort to catch it after being fed up with 3 weeks of this nonsense we decided to get our own trap and caught it the very next day since we had set the correct trap for the animal we told them numerous times was there. Now she is stuck paying after argueing with them and them saying "well u signed a contract" and "they jumped the gun we would have got it eventually" a rediculous amount for a job they did not do. I own an electrical company and if i ran my business as they do id be ashamed of myself and likely out of business. Hi I called in April after I received an invoice. I asked them to pull the containers. They scheduled a date to remove them and then rescheduled. I didn't hear back from them if they were removed. May comes I receive an e-mail again about the service. I received another invoice. Call again the customer service person Dawn was looking in the system to see if the service was done. She said to call back in a week. I called on the 21st and I spoke with Ej. She couldn't find anything except something reading bill to New Home Owners. I said I told them in April that I wanted them to remove them. So the person I spoke to on the 21st said she put a note in the system not to bill me again. The service is terrible when you tell them to remove something and they ignore the person and listens to the New owners who didn't give them their name. What kind of place are they running. I am glad I don't own a home because I would never use them ever again. When I asked to speak with the Supervisor they wouldn't connect me. read more

This has to be one of the worst companies to do business with. Wish I would have checked with Yelp first. I have been trying to cancel my service for over a month! Initial service date was in MAY. They came back two weeks later, but didn't do anything - literally, said they would be back. By July I was DONE waiting for them and for a call back. When I heard back, I said I wanted to cancel as I was dissatisfied with their lack of service and response and I was told someone needed to come back out if I wanted to cancel ... ??? why now? Today is Aug 30th and I am still waiting for a refund (paid in full) and for confirmation that my plan is cancelled. Howard at Terminix is the best! He has made me feel completely confident that we will no longer have to deal with mice. He filled any holes that were in the foundation (who knew there are openings?) and made it clear that the goal is to keep out critters, not deal with them once they've gotten in! What a pleasure.
