I have sat at the bar and in a booth a few times and every time it's always consistently great food, great service, and great ambiance! The employees always look happy to be there and having a good time! Go try it out! Also, my husband loved the elite so much he started making it at home!

I know, Rey Azteca says authentic Mexican, but it's not. Because technically speaking if it were and you had ordered a burrito, you'd end up eating an "equus asins," donkey, ass or burro from which the name burrito is taken. So let's be up front honest and say that their food is Tex-Mex which is just fine. Tex-Mex is really very good food. For me I just had their Tacos de Carne Asada which consisted of very nicely seasoned thin strips of meat with onion, both some corn and flour tortilla taco shells, a really good sauce and some refried beans. It was all rather good and I was impressed with how nicely the meat was seasoned. As for the restaurant itself, it's spotlessly clean and the staff super friendly.

We were looking for authentic Mexican food while driving through central PA and this was on the way. I got the veggie fajitas which were very fresh and delicious- a combination of zucchini, tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach, green pepper, and onion. My husband got the two enchiladas combo and my kids both got the hard tacos. We were all satisfied! The only downside for me was that the chips weren't warm (though they weren't stale) and my guacamole was a little brown on top. Otherwise would recommend

Tons of specials to chose from.

I'm a huge fan of Mexican, so I'm rather shocked that we came a cross a Mexican restaurant that I hadn't been to in State College. It's pretty far, so you'd need to drive or take the bus (sometimes difficult for college goers). The menu was full of long lists, which can be quite overwhelming, but a lot of options. The portion of food was just perfect. Not enough to take home afterwards, but a solid portion for you to eat and enjoy with friends and not feel gross about how fat you feel.

Solid Mexican food with efficient service and liked the colorful decor. On the expensive side.

I really appreciate the speed and the willingness to bring more free chips! Normally I go straight for the tacos, which are always a hit. The specials on the back of the menu are SO worth checking out for some more unique finds. Today I tried a torta (forgive me forgetting the menu name) with birria that was absolutely fantastic. The combinations are also a great price, especially if you can make it for lunch. Of course, I'd be remiss if I didn't also mention the happy hour. You can get some great deals here and they have an excellent drink selection. Alongside the alcoholic beverages there are also non-alcoholic smoothies with the same flavor options as daiquiris, so great options there too!!

We got seated fairly quickly. I think we lucked out because when we were finished with our meal, there was a line of guests waiting to be seated. While waiting for our server, I could observe the hostess wiping down each menu after it was brought back to the front counter. I appreciate the cleanliness of the establishment. Jacinto was our server. Very polite, attentive, always made sure we had what we needed. Once we placed our order, it did take a little bit to get our main entrees but that was OK since they gave you complimentary chips and salsa. We ordered the cheese dip as an app and they were more than happy to bring more chips when you ran out. Food came out hot and fresh. The kitchen worker raced to our table with our hot plates balanced perfectly between both arms. I guess he's been doing this for quite some time that he didn't need a table caddy to put it on. Although we didn't order guac, they will bring a mobile cart to your table and personally prepare fresh guac for you. The table beside us finished eating, and employees were "all hands on deck" clearing and cleaning the table for the next guests. I'm accustomed to seeing one bus person clean and area and move on to the next. I would eat here again. Plenty to choose from on the menu; a little bit of everything for the pickiest of eaters.

PRO: The food was pretty tasty, the carne asada had a good flavor. The portion size was excellent for the price point. I personally like the fact that the takeout containers have the paper bowl container instead of full plastic. CON: There were some items missing from our order, which I didn't notice until I was already home; I definitely should have checked but again it was Cinco de Mayo in State College. I didn't receive the plantains in my bowl as ordered. Originally, I was frustrated over the missing items because I knew I wasn't driving back and I had paid for them; plus I had a 17yo asking for churros. While I couldn't reach the restaurant last night (again, it's Cinco de Mayo so I understood), I was able to reach their GM Christopher today. He apologized for the mistake, then went above and beyond trying to resolve the issue with our missing items; I really appreciated the effort, which is why I chose 4 stars. The food we did receive was tasty and we hope to try again once downtown is quieter.

I sat there for probably twice as long as I should have just wondering what was happening. I don't want to bash anyone but I think he was having a breakdown or is just not all there. With so many restaurants on Atherton I decided to walk away and go get something else. Unfortunately I'd avoid this place until they figure out service. I'd even accept a quick "hang on for just one minute please" while waiting, I had nothing else planned tonight. At least some acknowledgment of a customer would be good, or so one would think.
