Hawaiian ladies picking out their fish.

How lucky can a person who goes Local whenever possible and finds a place like this? Seriously. I can't recommend this for the 'average tourist' whatever that is, but for me, this is like heaven. You have no idea what they're going to have in their coolers, but guaranteed it is as fresh as fresh gets and somebody went out in the surf and hooked or netted it early that morning or late last night. Be forewarned that you're mostly getting whole fish -- the same little guys you were snorkeling with yesterday and they still have all their guts and scales, so you gotta grow a pair and clean 'em yourself (no problem for me, but just sayin'). Oh, and unless your kids are hardened to reality, don't bring your precious Keiki -- they may be very disillusioned when they see their friend Nemo sitting wall-eyed in the coolers. The few cut pieces are not neatly butchered -- they are in huge chunks, so either you have a few good knives (we bring our own when we visit) or you hope like hell your rental has a decent filleting knife and sturdy pair of scissors AND you know what to do with those chunks of Ahi. Here's the thing though, you get to try fish you will never, ever, in a million years get at the Whole Wallet or Mana Foods. Short of sussing out a guy on the beach who's fishing (which I've been known to do), you ain't gonna get these local fish anywhere, and there is not option but to clean and scale them yourselves. So be prepared for that.

Pork Adobo & a yummy Chicken Long Noodle dish... Awesome!!!

Not your average fish store. It is alright for purchasing awa, snacks, or drinks. But not for fish.

Mostly whole fish, so you'll have to be prepared to clean and fillet yourself.

You'll find a gorgeous array of fresh, organic, mostly Maui-grown fruits and vegetables, packs of cut fruit, baked goods made in-house, a juice bar/deli (very popular at lunch time; order ahead if pressed for time!), and all the canned, frozen, refrigerated, and packaged items you expect in a natural food store. There's also a great bulk section, where you can dispense your desired amount of various nuts, grains, snack mixes, coffee beans, etc. The supplement section is well stocked and features a good selection of protein powders. Greeting cards, small gifts, T shirts, and personal care/beauty items are available as well. A small seating area outside the entrance is convenient but could benefit from some umbrellas or canopies to provide shade on hot sunny days.

There's nothing special about the deli food anymore. Most of it looks the same, trays of mushy food that are either dried out or they're out of half the items. I went in for soup today and all three soup containers were practically empty and burnt at the bottom. Most of the deli food looked dry and like it had been sitting there way too long. I went upstairs to eat and the dining area was really dirty too. I'm not sure if there's new management or what, but this place definitely needs a serious boost, and fast.

5/11/26 First time coming here. On Maui with family who ate here several yrs ago & we were hungry…read morefor Filipino food. Got here around lunch time. The parking lot was almost full but we managed to find a spot by the front door. Upon entering the store, the grocery section is to the left with a good selection of Filipino food & a produce section. To the right is the take out line & a few tables if you want to dine in. The line was pretty long but it moved fast. There are several friendly ladies behind the counter that quickly served up your plate. Most of the entrees had signs on them. They have such a nice spread to choose from. Prices are reasonable & they don't skimp on the quantity. I had a 2-entree plate for $15.99. 1 entree is $10.99, 3-entree is $19.99. All plates come with rice or pancit, or you can do half & half. I got the half & half with pork adobo & teriyaki chicken. The plate was yummy The pancit had 2 different noodles, the clear & the regular pancit noodles. There was an ample amount of veggies and shiitake mushrooms. The pork adobo had good flavor & well seasoned. Not too many fatty pieces & very tender. It didn't have as much as a vinergry taste but still was good. The teriyaki chicken was well flavored with a little sweetness, not overly dry, tasty as well. There was so much food, it's definitely a shareable plate or leftovers for a couple of days. They also have several soups & the entrees can be purchased a la carte. Overall, this place is worth going to. Don't let the long line fool you. This is a place to get some delicious Filipino food at reasonable prices, plates full of food, friendly & quick service. Support local @

Wow. My husband missed out as he waited in the car, he could have grab all his favorites Filipino goods! I looked around and browsed the grocery products before I get to the hot food/take out selection as I know I will be buying me some foods. What I like about Paradise Supermart is the items are organized, there are tons of products. What I don't like is most items has no prices or sign, even the produce. It will have to be a surprise or ask at the register. The prices are on high side but hey we need Filipino goods no matter the cost. The huge bag of wing bean caught my eyes, never seen them grown so huge before, no prices, when I ask the staff, it was $6.99! Pricey, on Oahu they cost $2-$3 per bag. The hot food selection, wow! This is my favorites! So many selections to choose from and even desserts galore! I got the 1 entree plate to try $9.99, for 2 items = $14.99, the difference in entree choices is $5. kinda steep. I wanted to try the chicken adobo and noodles. If the food is good, I would be back for my Filipino fix on Maui. Also got banana lumpia and a huge piece of the fried pork belly. We ate the food that night when we got back to Oahu and the verdict, chicken thighs were used which chicken wasn't tender, more hard to chew. I never tried adobo in thighs before & missing the adobo sauce, I like to add that to my rice. The noodles were good, I like that it comes with mix of canton and bihon noodles, just how my in-laws would make it. The fried roast pork, I loved! I will be back for more of this fried crispy goodness, I chopped the pork in to pieces and saved in freezer to use in my Sari Sari soup or add to ramen noodles. All in all, despite the chicken adobo, Paradise Supermart is a great place for all your Filipino goods, sweets, grocery stop, here on Maui!! & Oh., BTW if you wanted to enjoy the Filipino foods right away, there are few tables too .

I thought that the pansit was really good though. Lauya had a bitterness flavor due to the greens they used that was not to my liking but I know that some people do, but it was done well with the meat very soft and bones with marrow still there. Luckily I had an extra set of eyes helping me look lol. I've been following this store on Facebook and what got my need to come here was the fact that they are now selling ube butter mochi!!! Yay!!! The store rep was very pleasant and was quick to offer assistance! This store has so many different Asian products! Not to mention a wide variety of longanisa sausages, fish, meats, etc.... I was able to get what I came here for (ube butter mochi) and a few more items. Sad to say I did have to share with my husband haha... My only complaint is the butter mochi wasn't cut into pieces, it was just a really big slice placed in a plastic container. Hopefully they will be able to fix that, then again maybe it's not meant for sharing!!! Lol My overall experience here was great! So, if you are looking for a one stop Asian store this is it!!! And don't forget to try that ube butter mochi!!!
