I ate half of the friedrice

Friendly service. I ordered crab fried rice no spicy. Generous amount of crab. So delicious! Mahalo!

Chicken Basil Stir Fry with side egg

I wanted to try this Thai food truck because I love Spicy Thai food. This gem was nestled amongst other food trucks within the Kihei food truck park. After ordering my food was prepared fresh and hot. I ordered a chicken basil stir fry with a fried egg, drunken chicken noodles, and papaya salad my fave. All of the dishes was spicy medium just like I requested. I would highly recommend Life of Thai because it was reasonably price, freshly made, and great spicy food.

Cashew Stir-Fry Cashew nut, cabbage, carrot, onion, green onion, and cashew sauce and veggies served with rice!!

The go to spot for a quick thai experience. You gotta ask uncle that works there to add spice though. But the Stir-fry whether it be the cashier or the ginger were both bomb. The Tom Yung soup though was my favorite. The uncle is super nice and hard working I highly recommend this business

We were here for 17 days and I ate here 5 times. Even spent extra money to have it delivered one time, I am picky in general and the fried rice with shrimp and the veggie spring rolls with extra egg was phenomenal. Some spicy spots even with the level 2 (out of 10) so watch out but my god, best Thai I've ever had. Reasonably priced, can't recommend enough.

Pad Thai, extra sauce extra lime

Jun, the owner/chef, is very friendly. His dishes are incredible. I have enjoyed the Pad See Ew, Cashew Stirfry, and I think his Pad Thai (extra sauce, always!) is the best on island. His truck is bright yellow and next to Kraken coffee in the food truck pavilion- I say give it a shot!

I did order drunken noodle, it was good taste

The staff was super welcoming and attentive. We had the traditional poke bowl and fish tacos, today's catch was ahi tuna. At first bite it was amazing and could say it was one of the best meals I've had in my life. You will want to come back for dinner! They may close early or run out of menu items, so come early!

3.5 stars South Maui…read moreFish Company is a food truck located in the Aloha Open Marketplace with other restaurants and shops. There is a small parking lot on the side and street parking by the library across the street. The main draw here is the poke but they also serve fish tacos and fish plates. They sell only locally-caught fish which changes daily. For poke there are only two options: traditional and spicy. We got one of each ($22 each) and I preferred the traditional as it was saltier and had more flavor. I'm used to seeing more than just two flavors but it's fine. What I didn't like was that the rice in my bowl was hard like it had been out for a while. The other bowl was fine so I'm not sure what happened there. $46 total for two bowls seems like a higher price than normal for sushi, and the spicy one was just okay. Note that there is a 3% charge for using card.

Hands down the best food I had on the island…read more The owner greeted us, and was super kind! He helped us pick what to order -- which was phenomenal, and lets us make some substitutions since we didn't eat one part of the special offered. We got the fried cod special which came with slaw, potato/Mac salad, a drink and then we ordered a side of volcano fries. First, the cook on the cod was great. Super flaky and flavorful! The slaw and Mac salad were what I was expecting from Hawaii, truly delicious and we honestly could eat just bowls of those! The volcano fries were also good with the sauce they came with. The patio outside was great for family seating, and even better, they had an array of kids toys in side to keep my toddler busy. Wish we had more time to go back tbh. All other local food that we tried didn't compare.

Maui Fish'n Chips hit the spot and was definitely worth the visit…read more Maui Fish'n Chips is tucked in the corner of a small plaza in Kihei, as most places seem to be. This place has a decent amount of covered seating outside, but no seating inside. The menu is simple, and you order inside. We ordered the Cod Fish with rice, Coconut shrimp, deep fried zucchini, and a side of potato mac salad. The fish and chips were easily the best thing we ate. The fish had outstanding flavor and were battered and fried perfectly. If we only ordered the fish and chips, this place would get an easy 5 stars, no questions asked. Unfortunately, the rest of the food we ate was meh. The coconut shrimp were large and had good coconut flavor, but were overcooked and a little burnt, which altered the overall flavor. But I am guessing if it wasn't burnt, it would have great. I typically love deep fried zucchini, so I was excited to try it here. If didn't meet expectations though (sad face). The zucchini slices were cut very thin, and when deep-fried, I felt like I tasted more of the fried breading than I did the actual zucchini. My wife is a big macaroni and potato salad person, and she was not impressed. She said it had too much mayo and not enough substance.... I was pleased with the service and staff! Everyone that worked there was really nice and helpful. I also appreciate all the seating outside. I also thought it was cool they had a lot of board games for kids to use while we waited for our food. Very unique and solid addition! This place gets a solid 4 stars. If they made little tweaks to the rest of their side dishes, this place could easily be one of the better places to eat in Maui.

Food The Caesar Salad had good flavor, though the dressing was a bit heavy. The croutons were excellent. The Fish Tacos Pupu were a standout happy hour deal. The fish was fresh and fried to a crispy golden brown. The Pork Sliders on the happy hour menu were also very tasty. Overall, it's a great spot to take advantage of a solid happy hour.

There was a lot of mahi on the menu! Their liquor selection was more limited than I'd think - so I skipped a cocktail. I got the Mac crusted mahi - sadly it was flavorless and the sauce was cold.
