She reviewed the pictures of the island, ceiling heights, knobs and fixture colors and clearly made the best suggestions on the lights to order. She even reviewed the different finishes the lights came in and perfectly match the metal color of the pendent light and size of the fixture that looked the best in our new kitchen. Her services provided in our selection process could not be achieved by just going on line and placing an order. We visited the store and must say it was an incredible experience working with Melissa. We actually found a "floor model" chandelier hanging up and wanted that one. After a lot of haggling about the price, we both agreed, and made the purchase. He got a ladder and took down light and packaged it up real nice for us. I guess they used to operate across the street, but closed that store, and moved to the other side the street. They have a great selection of indoor, outdoor, chandeliers, bathroom, kitchen, etc. You really need to stop in to appreciate the fixtures in person. Will be back.

We were able to walk around and get ideas. They have a good selection of lamps to look at. It can kind of be overwhelming. We found a lamp we both liked. We were helped by David. David was able to help us find the same lamp but mounted directly to the ceiling. We decided to purchase the lamp. They do have a couponing the Clipper Magazine. We did not have the coupon but David said he would apply it to our purchase. I was assuming that we would need to order the lamp and it would be in the store to pick up in a few weeks. THEY HAD IT INN STOCK. We walked out with the lamp. Very happy customers. We also asked them about a reading lamp. They did not have what we were looking for but they offered to keep an eye out for what we needed. Great service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Lots of walking and lots of informational exhibits which I did not expect. Some of the floral entries for prizes had started to wilt and this was only the opening day. Lots to do, eat, enjoy and purchase. I found that there were too many vendors with non-garden/floral themes. Glad to see KNOX with its excellent educational exhibits. Worth the entry fee!

Second, there were some nice landscape designs, but the flower show itself was disappointing. Very limited...you'd see more at the Durham Fair. Lots of houseplants for sale, lots of garden gifty stuff, so if you like soap and candles and t-shirts, yay for you. Not not nearly enough about flowers and gardens. Will not go again.
