My husband researched shops to install an aftermarket automatic lift gate on my 4Runner. This shop…read morecame recommended and were willing to install the lift gate we had. We brought it in and dropped it off. They had some issues with the install and let us know they tried everything they could to make it function properly (the lift gate wasn't allowing me to open the back hatch while the vehicle was off... wildly inconvenient). However, when we got it home, we decided it wasn't going to work out. While looking at the vehicle, we noticed deep scratches on the back window tint from where the lift gate struts scraped against it during install. We also noticed the handle on the left side had black duct tape covering a hole they made to put the button for the auto lift gate in and apparently decided not to use. I would imagine a body shop would have access to a simple handle and be able to replace this rather than covering it with duct tape. We decided we wanted the factory lift gate re-installed and contacted them asking to get it done. We had no problem paying for the re-install of the factory lift gate but we wanted the tint and the handle fixed at no charge since these were damaged in the process. I brought it in and dropped it off in a Sunday and they called me the next day telling me it was ready. I went by to pick it up to discover that they never re-installed the factory lift gate, only fixed the tint and handle. At this time, I also noticed the hatch door was severely misaligned and pointed out that it needed to be fixed as well. I left the vehicle for an additional week for them to fix the additional issue and re-install the factory gate. I came to pick it up today and got into it and the check engine light as well as the traction control light were illuminated. They were not on when I brought my vehicle in. I went into the office and asked if they'd noticed when those lights came on and was hesitantly told they didn't know and that I could come back and they'd check the codes. I refused and told them I'd never be back to their shop again. Disappointed is an understatement. Now I'll need to go to another shop and check the codes and figure out if it's a wiring issue related to them working on my vehicle or if it's something else. Either way, I will never return to this shop. The lack of integrity and professionalism is astounding.

I called the office back after hearing this news and then I was told the call was recorded and the person I had talked to told me they played the call back while we're in the middle of talking and confirmed they said $275, but they didn't. I was lied too and they hiked the price up $200 and didn't give me any options and told the driver to leave unless I paid. Horrible service and they are a scam. Avoid this company and call any other place!
