I called Rex Air to check my AC as we recently had Roof work in our Condo Building in Key Largo and the AC units had to be lifted and placed in top of a metal frame, I had noticed water penetration on the filter and dropping in the floor, especially after rainy days, so I thought there must be a problem with the AC or the way it was re-installed in top of the frame. Joe Smith was the Technitian that was assigned to my request of service, from the moment he arrived to my Unit he was very respectful and attentive to my concerns, he was quick to go up to the roof, and as he was there he took several pictures and texted them to me, he found nothing wrong with the AC, it was actually the material used in the floor of the roof was not sealed correctly, he also confirmed that the water coming thru the filter was not coming from the AC, but from a roof leak. As an old, somewhat jaded, long-time resident of the Keys, I have come to expect good service from just a handful of businesses: FKEC, Keys Sanitary, FKAA. (Okay, there are a few more.) I was skeptical I would add REX Air to that short list. But, a gaggle of young men showed up yesterday at 8:15, as promised. They were polite, respectful of my home, and in spite of a difficult install, exchanged happy banter while they worked. The best news is, my new A/C is a surprising improvement from my old A/C. I had grown to accept waking throughout the night to throw-off the covers until my A/C kicked-on and my bedroom cooled down again. My A/C never kept my house at a constant temperature. I awoke multiple times last night, from habit I guess, and although the temperature was perfect, I listened for the noise from the new A/C. I drifted back to sleep while trying to decide if it was running or not. I am going to enjoy making a new habit of sleeping through the night. After Hurricane Erma one of my AC units quit. Rex Air sent out a great Service Technician to add some Freon and schedule a leak check. Kenny then came out to do a leak check and found the problem. We then discussed installing a new system. He was also great. I decided to get a quote from Rex. The quote came quick and I had a choice of three systems to choose from. Good, better and best. Rex Air was very busy after Erma but was able to install the system quickly. My professional Service Technicians were Johnathon and Alvin. They were a great team and new exactly what to do. They were very friendly and made sure to clean up. My dog Sugar hung out with them and kept asking for belly rubs. The entire Rexair team - Mary in the office, Jonathon and Alvin in the field - were our saviours. Our winter mobile home in the Keys was flooded in Hurricane Irma. After our contractor angels ripped out the old HVAC system and put in new floors Rexair got right on it. They installed dual mini-splits and the place was cool in hours! Our original schedule date got pushed back (so we had one night in the heat, but they were able to squeeze us into a cancelled slot so we were only a couple days late. The install was professionally done. I called Rex Air for service on our A/C which had been crapping out on us. When I made the appt they told me that for $20 more I could get free filters for a year and 2 check ups to keep things running smooth. On top of that I would get a discount on services. It seemed like a no-brainer so I decided to go for it. They showed up on time did a complete check up on my system and found a bad capacitor on my unit. The savings I got for the replacement already paid for the cost of the maintenance agreement. So far very pleased with the service. read more

Mike at Rex Air has been my "go to" guy for any of my air conditioning issues. Having 4 air conditioners for my home there are plenty of problems and Mike is always there with a positive attitude and ready to get to work. He shows up on time or even earlier than expected. Its nice to have someone in the industry that you can trust. Being in the Florida Keys you never know if anyone is actually going to show up or go fishing. I have not had that issue with Rex Air. Rex Air service is prompt, fair and efficient. Recently, technician Michael M. came out twice and did a great job. First, our condenser died on a weekend. Michael the go to emergency tech gave me phone advice that saved a useless weekend visit and expense. Eventually he, and Rex got the problem resolved in record time. No fuss no muss. I have an inexpensive mini-split that stopped cooling yesterday. I called this morning, and within 15 minutes had a technician (Mike) checking it out. He serviced the unit, made some recommendations, and scheduled a return for next week. Very polite and knowledgeable, and not afraid to explain what he was doing. I would recommend him to anyone. Rex may be a little pricier, but here in the keys AC is a necessity, not a luxury. Quick response and skilled techs are worth the price. read more

A/c went out on the hottest day of the year. The lady on the phone at Rex Air was polite and professional and emailed me the name and photo of the technician who arrived promptly. Shane knew immediately what the problem was and took care of it... Quickly He also checked on the warranty to help us replace the defective part. Ac went out the Wednesday before Christmas and was unable to get another unit here until the following Tuesday due to holiday. Rex Air called Tuesday said the installers would be here at 8:00AM Wednesday morning Jonathan and Vince arrived right at 8:00 and got right at it. They were super nice and informative young men. Jonathan and Alvin were great. They worked as a team, were very coordinated and prepared. They encountered a couple of roadblocks during the replacement of the HVAC system and quickly developed solutions and got back on schedule. They also were very accommodating when I requested some additional sealing of duct work not in the scope bid and quickly took care of the issue. Our central a/c unit began to leak and had diminished cooling: It was just not getting cool enough. RexAir answered our call right away and scheduled service quickly from its office. Jonathan and Alvin are a great team! Courteous, cautious, and well prepared. I do not own the home I was renting it on my vacation. I was able to work all day comfortably while they replace both A/C SYSTEMS in the house. I am a general contractor in Miami and rarely see this professionalism.
