The inside is pretty big with a decent amount of seating - I also like their décor with all the plants and artwork. We ordered the Strawberry Latte from the Spring menu, another latte with cute latte art and a Morning Bun. I really enjoyed the Strawberry Latte - it had a strong coffee flavor and a slight strawberry flavor. My daughter loved the Morning Bun - it took her 2 days to finish it. Their Spring menu also included a Strawberry Mocha, Strawberry White Chocolate Mocha, Strawberry Matcha Latte as well as iced teas and lemonades! Overall, this is a super cute coffee shop in downtown Sonora and staff were friendly and patient while we decided on what to order. I will absolutely come back for more the next time I am in town! Check them out!

There is always plenty of parking in the front. I would definitely recommend trying one of their seasonal lattes. I tried the strawberry mocha latte, which was not overly sweet but still gave the flavoring of a chocolate-covered strawberry. For food, I have tried both the almond poppyseed muffin and the egg, bacon, and cheese croissant. The sandwich was warmed for me, but the egg was still fairly cold to really enjoy the sandwich. The croissant was delicious though - very buttery and flaky. Definitely something that I would try again but I would recommend asking for it to be warmed for an additional two to three minutes.

I finally decided to stop in with my 5 y/o son. The outside decor and ambiance were adorable and the merchandise had fun designs. Unfortunately, the interaction with the owner completely changed the experience. He seemed irritated from the moment I ordered a hot chocolate for my son, correcting me in a rude and dismissive tone that it was "hot cocoa" and annoyedly asking how many I wanted. I said one and then asked if they had a menu so I could see what type of coffee they offered. That simple question also seemed to frustrate him and he dismissively responded, "It's just coffee," while shaking his head. His overall tone came across as arrogant, annoyed, and dismissive over normal questions, which made the interaction uncomfortable. I was shocked by the attitude, especially from a business owner. Maybe he was having a bad day, and I do see many positive reviews, but I also noticed other reviews mentioning similar experiences with the owner. It's disappointing because we were really looking forward to trying this place. I ended up saying never mind and leaving. My son didn't understand why we walked out without getting what we came for and I explained that I didn't want to support a business where customers are treated rudely. I truly hope the owner is doing okay and is able to treat customers more respectfully in the future because it seems like there's a great product behind the business. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to try it.

What they offer is fresh and always good! I've never got Somthing from Clayton's coffee and not liked it. 2. Execution & Consistency (Service): 5 / 5 The service here is amazing! They really take care of the customer. Every time I walk in I'm always welcomed with a smile and great service! 3. Environmental Design (Vibe): 4 / 5 From the outside it might seem a little off or you're not sure where to enter from. Once you go inside it's great! There is a small room where you order and a bigger room where the magic happens! It's really nice. 4. Attention to Detail (The Little Things): 5 / 5 I really like how there is an espresso machine in the welcome room. You can really smell the coffee when you walk in! I do also really like the menu. The design is really cool! 5. Price-to-Value Ratio (Wallet Test): 4 / 5 The prices are not bad, typically around $22 for a pound of fresh coffee beans. I usually get half a pound which comes out to exactly $11. Not too bad. Over all this is a really good place for coffee and tea lovers! Coffee is all in the beans and this place really offers a very good product!

The best coffee in Modesto…read more One of only two coffee roasters in Modesto City proper, Milone has been roasting superior coffee for almost 30 years (since the late 80's). It all began as Plantation Coffee Company, a roastery & full service cafe. They closed the cafe part of the business long ago, & today operate as wholesale distributors. Where can you sample some Milone coffee? Several local businesses carry them...Sabatino's, Michael's Pizza, Papapavlo's, Velvet Creamery, & Picasso's, just to name a few. I was particularly impressed to learn that the coffee I had at Sabatino's, which I loved, was just one end of a surprisingly broad & prolific spectrum. From Brazilian roast to Fogburner, there's a roast for every palate. And after sampling just 2 of their roasts, it was easy to surmise that any coffee lover will find a Milone roast that he or she loves. Not a business owner? No problem. You can come in & purchase beans by the pound. But remember that this isn't a full service cafe. I had the pleasure of meeting Scott during my most recent visit. Scott knows everything about coffee. He's basically a walking & talking coffee encyclopedia. He is also beyond personable. A gem. This is the best coffee in Modesto. 5 stars.

If you are a coffee aficionado and want to appreciate the complexities of the magical dark brew. If you have realized that nothing but the best, the very best will do in the morning; and that whatever else the rest of the peasantry drink is brown swill; then and only then will go here. Order online, order the beans, open the bag, and marvel at the jeweled tones of the dark amber, oily, beans. Your hands will smell of coffee and chocolate when you touch them and you wont want to wash your hands afterward. Grind the beans well (almost to a fine expresso grind), make a pot, and take your first sip. I guarantee you will never, ever, go back. Promise. Cross my heart. We have been customers for 8 years, and I have hesitated writing this review for 8 because I don't want to share the secret of why anyone who has coffee at our house goes into paroxysms of delight. Well, this is the reason. My top choices? The Columbian, if you like a dark yet fruity magical complexity. If you like subtle chocolatey overtones, I recommend the costa rican.
