The ole' silver bullet was having some problems of late - constantly alerting me to a coolant problem, idling pretty high, that weird thing where my trunk popper won't work. (Yeah, I know, I'm not sure what's up with that.) The great thing about Auto Know How is that they will troubleshoot with you over the phone to see if it's really necessary for you to come in or to figure out just how major your problem might be. After talking with Laura on the phone for a few minutes, I knew that my coolant issue wasn't urgent but after several months of that persistent dinging alarm going off every time I got behind the wheel, I decided it was time to finally take it in. Turns out I needed some extra stuff done too, which I was happy to have them repair. Considering I've never had major work done on my car and it's 6 years old, I think that's pretty awesome. Particularly since it was less than $300. That's almost a miracle. Be prepared to leave your car overnight, even if you're just coming in for an oil change, because they do get busy these days. I've also found that my final bill tends to be a little less than they have quoted me, which is also awesome. Oh, and my trunk? Apparently I have a valet switch that kept getting locked. Who knew?

While we were seated, an older orange VW Beetle pulled into the lot. The driver, an older white woman, shouted aggressively, "This is a place of business, not a hangout! Get up and move!" We calmly explained that we were, in fact, customers -- our car was currently being serviced by Paul. She accused us of lying and insisted we move because she wanted to park where we were sitting, despite there being many other available spots. When we declined to move, she attempted to use her vehicle to physically force us out of the way. As a result, both of us sustained injuries -- including cuts, bruises, and swelling. My partner suffered a particularly deep cut on their leg that was bleeding significantly. Paul came outside but instead of addressing the woman's dangerous behavior, he defended her. When the police arrived, they requested to view the surveillance footage. Paul claimed the cameras weren't working, despite the recording lights being visibly on. We then witnessed him unplug the system in front of the officers. Unfortunately, the police said there was nothing they could do, stating it was "our word against hers" -- even though we had visible injuries. Despite the seriousness of the incident, no meaningful action was taken.

Took my '05 Prius there for maintenance, hoping to send my business to them instead of Boulder…read moreToyota. What I received was mediocre service at best. I asked for synthetic oil and they put regular oil which I caught, so they had to re-do. I asked them to check out an idling problem, which they didn't do - I needed my car back so disregarded it at the time. Two months after they replaced the water pump, it went bad and was leaking - caught by Boulder Toyota. I took it back to them to have them replace the water heater which they did at no charge. When I spoke to their technician at 9:30am, they asked when I needed the car back and I said asap it's the Friday before Memorial day. I called at 2pm to check the status and was told it was done. When I said it would have been nice to have received a call, all I received from their desk girl was an excuse and attitude. Further, when I picked it up, she was about as unfriendly as you can get without being outright rude. Though Boulder Toyota charges more, they do the job right and don't give you the attitude you get from Fuji Motors. It's too bad as I'd prefer to support the local guys.
