Over the past few months the quality of this gym has gone downhill significantly…read more Almost all paper towel dispensers have been removed from the facility. Leaving members unable to sanitize items--machines, benches, cardio equipment, mats, etc. I attempted to contact the owner multiple times to voice my concerns--even leaving messages with front-desk employees for the owner to contact me. No response after multiple attempts. Finally, when I was able to speak to the owner in person--he completely dismissed my concerns about cleanliness. The owner stated that management cannot rely on members to throw away paper towels (full-grown adults by the way). So instead of a few paper towels to pick up off the floor, we get stuck with sweat soaked gear? STOP trying to nickel and dime your members. The rates for this gym are high enough to cover a few proper sanitizing stations THROUGHOUT the facility.

I have tried every gym in the area (I used to do day passes at every gym within an hour radius while on school break so I have tried other golds gyms, 24hrs, pfits, retro, crunch, blink, powerhouse, you name it) and this is my favorite gym in north jersey. The new owner replaced a lot of the equipment including the floors and treadmills while leaving a lot of the old classic equipment which I love combined with new fantastic Atlantis machines. The gym also has a large turf area and basketball court which is a huge plus for athletic training. Also a sauna, but the best part of the gym is the community, a great mix of old classic body builders, young guys, and the staff is super friendly. My only complaints would be a new filtered water fountain would be great, there are multiple old ones that don't taste great and I've heard the town has given the owners a problem with replacing pipes. They put a gate in the front which was a big annoyance at first but it works well now and helps keep non members from sneaking in, and the parking lot has the largest potholes I've ever seen and they always come back despite them repatching them, it needs a full pave but I believe that is on the town and out of the gyms control. Also on some week nights one of the trainers runs an absolutely obnoxious workout class and blasts music on top of the gym music while taking up the entire turf area. She could easily use the empty studio room that they don't use at all. Still one of my favorite gyms out of hundreds I've been to considering a reasonable price!

It started with the location, located on a nice quiet road, right off the highway and plenty of parking. The first paragraph has to contain the most important part- The Equipment! Try to find an equal ANYWHERE...you wont! Idk, how they did it but this place literally has the most advanced machines and equipment available. You wont find anything like it anywhere. Does your gym only have one or two leg presses? This gym has 5! Yeah, 5 leg presses! Every body part has a plethora of machines for you to choose from and you know what that means....results! You can switch machines every workout to keep your body guessing. Only gym I know of that offers this variety. Whether you are new to fitness and exercise, an athlete or competitor, the energy and knowledge that you get just from being here is unrivaled anywhere in this area. Also, where else do you have a gym owner(Erik) and staff who understand what you are striving for and they WILL get you there, and even further, while at the same time having fun doing it. This place has TRAINERS! You want find that meat market atmosphere, bothering everyone until they finally purchase a training package. They dont haunt you here...at all. Its so laid back that way where you never feel uncomfortable or pressured into packages. The classes are intense for every level athlete, and you will love the diverse workout combinations. The hot yoga with Christy May is hands down the best Yoga instructor my wife and I have ever had the pleasure to train with. The Yoga room is beautiful. The gym itself is immaculate. Thats not an exaggeration. All the members comment on how clean the gym is...even after being open all this time. Thanks Claire!

From what I saw on the tour, it looked like a very nice gym. I like to do floor activities and there is space for that. My last gym was Crunch, where the babies/members don't clean up their equipment when they are done and there is almost no floor space. I did not see any of that at this gym. Everything looked clean and it all of the equipment was in its place. The only thing some people may find lacking would that they have a limited number of group classes. I got the impression that the had a few interval training / HIIT classes throughout the day which they changed up (in the way CrossFit changes it up) but if you are looking for a menu of classes, this may not be the place for you. But it is still worth checking out. I am glad I did and if I join a gym again, it will be this one.

The owner first showed me a bike and said "don't worry, there is no weight limit." I have a great sense of humor and giggled internally, mostly because he thought that would go over my head. I calmly asked him why he would say that and he stammered. He may have thought I'd shrink. No sir, wrong lady. The Women's Locker Room is in need of a nice paint job to make it appealing. I can't tell you how many times I've gone in every stall to find one stall with toilet paper. Sometimes none found. One positive is that I've seen machines cleaned and vacuumed daily. The cleaning people on the floor are friendly and kind. There are a couple of trainers who made eye contact and spoke to me directly and I appreciated it. I had no luck making an appointment with any trainer. After making an appointment with one, he had a woman call me back to ask who I was and how I got an appointment with him. Shame for him, I was willing to buy a package from him after my first visit. I then had another trainer appointment and had car trouble so called to cancel 48 hours in advance and she called me back and blasted me that her time was valuable too. I gave 48 hours notice. Their arrogance was a lost opportunity for them. I found an excellent trainer outside this gym. As for the muscular brother/owner. Yeesh "dude" - you've officially won the "Get Over Yourself" Award. People come in all sizes and shapes. There was another woman here who wrote about you in particular. It's not a one-off. I've had a similar experience. I did not speak or complain to you or anyone in that gym ever and you still managed to do that to me.

This is a lovely OTF studio. Tracy is great, always warm and friendly and super helpful. However,…read morethis review will be focused on one coach in particular - Herlentz Mesidor (Coach H!!!). I started with him at a different OTF studio in summer of 2018, currently have him as a personal trainer since May of 2021, and followed him to the Totowa studio where I go periodically in addition to the personal training. I'll start by saying that I've probably tried to write this review 20 times but never felt like I could find the words fit to describe how much this man has helped me. I still don't feel like I can do him justice here but gotta give it my best shot. He is hands down the most inspiring, energizing, optimistic and professional human (yes, not just fitness instructor but of any human overall) with whom I have ever engaged. He is INCREDIBLY good at what he does - both from his own hard work, dedication and discipline for his craft, and because he truly has a gift for elevating everyone around him. He's also brave and proud (hello pivoting from a previous career to follow his dreams in fitness and helping others), and made of integrity. I feel incredibly lucked to have happened upon Coach H by randomly signing up for my preferred time slots without regard to who the instructor was when I first started going to OTF. I was in the worst shape of my life, and sporadically doing lackluster workouts by myself at home was not getting me anywhere. When OTF opened in my city I decided to commit, but that was the type of decision I had made and failed at a million times before. Fast forward a few months and I noticed that I'm less likely to cancel a class if he's the instructor vs. anyone else. He works so hard for you, and you just end up constantly motivated to do the same. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt the variable that's lead to my success this time around, after a lifetime of failed attempts, is Coach H. Absolute best decision, best money I've ever spent. I don't care if you're an elite athlete or haven't worked out once ever - Coach H can meet you where you're at mentally and physically, and make you better than you are. You just better come correct, because he will be wholly dedicated to you and your process. I owe this man my life.
