Since I recently changed my membership to coverage through my insurance, I politely requested, as a courtesy, that the annual fee be refunded. When I attempted to resolve this matter, I asked to speak with the regional manager, Alfredo. Initially, I was repeatedly told by front desk staff that he was "in a meeting." When I was finally able to speak with him, he told me he could not help me. He refused to provide his business card, his last name, or his email address. When I asked for contact information for the general manager, he also refused to provide that information. As I attempted to escalate the issue, he laughingly added that if I filed a complaint, it would come back to him and it would still be at his discretion how to proceed. I was also told my membership could be canceled. Additionally, when I looked at the displayed business license and related information, I was told that if I took photos or wrote information down, I would be escorted out of the facility. I found this interaction extremely unprofessional and concerning. I was simply requesting a courtesy refund of a recently charged annual fee after transitioning to insurance coverage, and instead was met with resistance, lack of transparency, and what felt like intimidation.

The environment is great for newbies, and for folks like me that have not worked out in a while. Let's just say, the best tip I got going into it was this: "Pace yourself." So the workout was a circuit, and it was a full body workout. 3 sets, with 3-4 workout per set done as a circuit. Some new folks kill themselves by using too much weight on the first set and cannot keep up at the end. By the 2nd set I was starting to slow down: I was not conditioned at all but at least I paced myself. But Joe was extremely encouraging and helped with fixing my form for the different workouts I wasn't used to. The facility is tucked in the business complex so you have to drive deep into it. The place is clean, the music is awesome, the bathroom is clean, there's towels (for sweat, not for showering), and the equipment all work and in very good condition and are clean! I highly recommend this place because of the trainers who are awesome, and because the environment is very supportive. Viz. one woman was there in her 40s and she was trying her best, some of the girls cheered her on, and Joe was encouraging her and adjusting her workouts based on her fitness level. Definitely check them out since this place gives results! I don't know if they have drop-in rates to do the classes whilst traveling but just ask them! I showed up right at 6 AM when they opened, only to walk into locker rooms that were clearly not cleaned overnight. The smell alone should've been the warning sign. Lockers were dirty, toilets had visible skid marks and urine on the seats, sinks were clogged, and there wasn't a drop of soap to be found. Shower floors? Completely pooled with water and littered with pubic hairs and old band-aids--seriously disgusting. You'd think first thing in the morning would be the cleanest it gets, but apparently not here. The equipment is all self-wiped, so don't expect any actual sanitation from staff. For $25 a month, you get a front-row ticket to a potential infection, not a fitness experience. It feels more like a test site for the health department than a gym. Hope you're up to date on your tetanus shot.
