The environment is great for newbies, and for folks like me that have not worked out in a while. Let's just say, the best tip I got going into it was this: "Pace yourself." So the workout was a circuit, and it was a full body workout. 3 sets, with 3-4 workout per set done as a circuit. Some new folks kill themselves by using too much weight on the first set and cannot keep up at the end. By the 2nd set I was starting to slow down: I was not conditioned at all but at least I paced myself. But Joe was extremely encouraging and helped with fixing my form for the different workouts I wasn't used to. The facility is tucked in the business complex so you have to drive deep into it. The place is clean, the music is awesome, the bathroom is clean, there's towels (for sweat, not for showering), and the equipment all work and in very good condition and are clean! I highly recommend this place because of the trainers who are awesome, and because the environment is very supportive. Viz. one woman was there in her 40s and she was trying her best, some of the girls cheered her on, and Joe was encouraging her and adjusting her workouts based on her fitness level. Definitely check them out since this place gives results! I don't know if they have drop-in rates to do the classes whilst traveling but just ask them! DECEPTIVE BILLING PRACTICES -- BE CAREFUL BEFORE SIGNING ANY AGREEMENT…read more After years of being a loyal member with no issues, I was suddenly charged an additional $19.50 fee with no notice or explanation. When I asked about it, I was told it was a "glitch in the system" that overcharges customers -- but that I'd need to talk to the manager to resolve it. To prevent future problems, I even put a new card on file. Before following up, I contacted my bank (Chase), and they confirmed there was no reason my recurring payment -- successfully processed more than 28 times -- should have declined. When I spoke with the manager (Andrew), he gave multiple conflicting explanations: first a system glitch, then a bank issue, then a declined card, and finally said he had no control because billing is through ABC Financial. When I asked how the issue would be fixed, I received no clear answer or solution. Instead, the manager became aggressive and ended the conversation by yelling: "GET THE F*** OUT, IT'S TOO EARLY FOR YOUR BULL****." Immediately, I asked again to speak with the owner or anyone capable of addressing the situation. I even reached out through social media. After one month, radio silence. Today, I received another notice: my card supposedly "did not go through," and there is no a $9.50 late fee and another $19.50 charge added on top. I'm genuinely disappointed. If the business needs to raise prices, be honest about it -- don't hide behind deceptive billing practices or "system glitches." I enjoyed being a member, but I can't support a company that refuses accountability, overcharges loyal customers, and treats them disrespectfully.

If there's a routine you can't do, you can do something similar such as squats instead of jump squats, etc. The new owner Luis is very friendly and welcoming! My fave classes are with trainers Jonathan and Brandie. I actually went to Brandie's class tonight - her playlist is on point!! I love how she always ends her classes with Linkin Park's "one more light" for the cooldown. She kicked my butt tonight - in a good way!

She made sure I had the right posture and motivated me to work even harder! As a result, I felt comfortable and really enjoyed my experience. Not to mention, the other women in the class were so nice afterward and asked how I felt and encouraged me to come back. You can tell the regulars believe in the class and are passionate about it! For the new people: make sure you wear leggings at or below the knee and a top or shirt (you can't wear just a sports bra). I also recommend grip socks! They sell them there too.

The owner first showed me a bike and said "don't worry, there is no weight limit." I have a great sense of humor and giggled internally, mostly because he thought that would go over my head. I calmly asked him why he would say that and he stammered. He may have thought I'd shrink. No sir, wrong lady. The Women's Locker Room is in need of a nice paint job to make it appealing. I can't tell you how many times I've gone in every stall to find one stall with toilet paper. Sometimes none found. One positive is that I've seen machines cleaned and vacuumed daily. The cleaning people on the floor are friendly and kind. There are a couple of trainers who made eye contact and spoke to me directly and I appreciated it. I had no luck making an appointment with any trainer. After making an appointment with one, he had a woman call me back to ask who I was and how I got an appointment with him. Shame for him, I was willing to buy a package from him after my first visit. I then had another trainer appointment and had car trouble so called to cancel 48 hours in advance and she called me back and blasted me that her time was valuable too. I gave 48 hours notice. Their arrogance was a lost opportunity for them. I found an excellent trainer outside this gym. As for the muscular brother/owner. Yeesh "dude" - you've officially won the "Get Over Yourself" Award. People come in all sizes and shapes. There was another woman here who wrote about you in particular. It's not a one-off. I've had a similar experience. I did not speak or complain to you or anyone in that gym ever and you still managed to do that to me.
