I liked it here a lot. Great class, instructor, and clean studio. I bought an intro pack around Xmas time, and I couldn't use all the classes since I was so busy. I asked them to extend my unused credit, and they did it happily. The parking is a little inconvenient, but Ridgewood in general is like that so not their fault. read more

The workout and instructors at Corefire are great. However, the prices are absolutely outrageous. I mean, $33 for one class is insane. You'd think to get a package or monthly pass but it isn't even worth it because classes fill up so quickly - weeks in advanced, which makes sense when you go to a class and see it's full of stay at home mom's who can jump to schedule a class as soon as it's available . I understand that instructors might want to maintain the 1 on 1 feel in the class where they can keep an eye on everyone but it also doesn't make sense to let so many people buy classes/packages/memberships when I'm sure a lot of them find great difficulty scheduling a class. My advice would to be expand the studio and LOWER THE PRICES. read more

I saw an article on BergenMama and so I thought I'd give it a try. The free week didn't hurt :). I had my first class today at 6:30 AM and was greeted by the instructor Jess. The space is clean, easy to get to and felt homey (in a good way). I was given special grippy socks to use for the class and given a quick walk through the machine and weights. I was joined by two other women, another newbie and a veteran Corefire participant. The 45 minutes went by in a flash! There were definitely moments where I didn't think I was going to make it through the last 10 seconds of a given move but Jess was encouraging, helpful and overall a great coach/instructor. Being a new mom I haven't given myself much "me" time to workout as much as I'd like and this seemed efficient, different and fit my needs/schedule. It is definitely a full body workout, and at no moment did it feel like the class was dragging. I will definitely be coming back. You know it's good when you leave and your body feels tired but refreshed. Good sweat, friendly staff. Thanks Jess for a great first experience! read more

Came here while visiting my parents to get a nice reformer workout in. Really nice, clean studio with a very 1:1 feel as the classes only have about 6-7 reformers. Teacher was awesome and really helpful and the workout itself was a great 45 minute pretty constant burn. Ended up buying the 3 pack so I could go a few times - would definitely join the gym if I was closer! read more

These girls have done it again and opened up another Corefire studio - this time in Ridgewood. If you've never been - it is Pilates on crack. The megaformer will stretch your body in ways you never thought possible while using all your core muscles to bring it back. Your asscheeks will tremble as will your inner thighs while you hold poses - you'll be crying for mercy. It's all good. This is Corefire. Killer class with Casey. Casey kept an eye on our form, prepped our machines for the next exercise, and provided clear explanations and demos of the movements which were easy to follow. Great variations in exercises requiring tons of balance and strength. If you are up for/interested in an extremely challenging full body work out, you will get it with burpees and other moves. Wish there were some more modifications, but it was an unbelievable workout. More of an intimate studio with a max class size of 9 and there is free parking behind the studio which is a nice perk. read more

Best workout I've ever had in my life. 45 minutes of intense no-nonsense bust-your-ass moves that will inevitably change your body and boost your metabolism. The classes pack in tons of strength training, bodyweight exercises, and cardio. Took a class with Joe + another with Casey. The next day, my entire body was SO sore: hammies, inner thighs, shoulders, triceps, obliques. The class is fun, engaging and, as a result, super fast. It's a workout that never gets boring. Every time I visit my sis in NJ, I have to attend one Corefire class. So worth it. Highly recommend!!! Wish I could give it 100 stars. P.S. So impressed with Corefire! The workouts are serious and they go by so quickly--it's the best bang for your buck. All the staff that I've taken a class with are extremely positive and encouraging and the overall atmosphere of Corefire is incredibly motivating!! My first Corefire class, I was a bit intimidated... but Cait and Ange make you feel so at home and like you can do anything. Took my first class here this week and it was absolutely incredible! I've been taking HIIT classes and running all my life which really was a stress on my joints, but this class was perfect in that it was a combination of cardio and strength training with NO stress on your joints whatsoever. The movements are fluid and comfortable. My body actually felt a REALLY GOOD kind of sore afterwards. It's a one of a kind workout which makes me feel a lot better about driving 30 minutes to get there. Not to mention, Jessica was awesome and the studio was great in following up and getting feedback from new clients. Just the kind of business I love to support! read more

Best. Total. Body. Workout. EVER! You will feel muscles that are sore afterwards that you didn't even know you had. And although it's intense, the pace of the class is very fun and upbeat. Once you feel like you can't possibly work a muscle group any longer, you'll move on to a new set. With great music pumping and friendly, encouraging and knowledgable instructors, it'll be the one of the best workouts you've ever had!! This 45 minute workout was INTENSE. I tried the free class for my first time here. My instructor was Casey and she was AWESOME. Super friendly and helpful. Working out next to me was another instructor Jess, she helped me out when I needed it and let me know it was okay to look over at her if I felt lost. It was a small class, which I liked and just a comfortable atmosphere overall. I workout often, but this felt like nothing I've ever experienced I just might have to join. read more

I am home visiting from Los Angeles and was looking for a Pilates studio and found Corefire. I had the best experience and absolutely loved my instructor, Jess. She had great music, took us through an amazing workout and I loved her attention to us having proper form. It was a really nice studio and I am planning to try and go as many more times as I can before going back to LA. read more
