Today the first tech made no eye contact and the entire time had her back to me typing on her computer. The second tech rushed me through a test and couldn't take the time to guide me to the next of 3 waiting areas. I waited to write this review after multiple visits knowing some folks have bad days. But this seems to be a culture in that tech team that is really not friendly, warm or caring. Have had a completely opposite experience at the Sacramento office and will be going there from now on.

Simply put, he saved my eyesight, which was quickly going downhill. He started treatment at my very first appointment, and not only did my eyes stabilize, they actually returned to their previous condition, which, as I understand it, is highly unusual. Dr. Bharadwaj stays current with cutting-edge research and has been an investigator in numerous clinical trials. But what makes him especially wonderful is the amazing person he is. He has a calm demeanor, is always happy to answer questions, and is warm, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. I have complete confidence in his judgment and expertise. The waiting room is not luxurious, and it is usually packed with patients. But believe me, a short wait is more than worth it when you are seeing someone with the expertise to protect your eyesight. Dr. Huang came in. She seemed mortified, that she was wasting her time with me. She said in no uncertain terms that she is a retina specialist, meaning she didn't see why I was there. After a two minute conversation, she walked out of the room. That was it. No thank you for waiting so long, no nice to meet you, nothing, she walked out before I had a chance to ask her some basic questions. The nurse stayed with me and gave me instructions to treat myself at home. She was very nice. Everyone but the doctor was nice. I had explained my situation to my insurance rep. I had explained it to the person that made the appoitnment. Yet I felt like the doctor thought it was beneath her to treat me. Yet I am sure they will bill my insurance.

Bay Retina Center has been treating me for the past six months. I had to go for a follow up check up today. Wow I was super impressed. They are taking utmost precautions and following very strict protocols for their patients' safety. There is very very very limited close contact. The outside doors are propped open, and there was no one in the waiting room. Every employee/doctor is careful. You are required to wear a mask in order to be admitted. They take your temperature upon arrival and limit talking . Dr. Lee only talks when he's 6 feet apart from the patient. They constantly sanitize the examination rooms and are being ultra cautious. I haven't felt that safe in a long time. If you are a patient here do not delay seeing them for important follow ups. You will be well taken care of in super sanitized surroundings!
