The old clerk was either too dumb to realize that, or she just didn't care. I waited another minute, and then walked up to her desk since it didn't seem like she was going to look up from her notebook to even acknowledge my presence. Long story short - this poor excuse for a customer service rep couldn't even help me order contact lenses, because she was too lazy to find out how to do it properly. This lady should've retired 10 years ago. Owner take notice, unless you're okay with wasting your customers' time -- or maybe you're allergic to money?!

This is my second exam here and it went wonderfully. First, they are "gentle" and modern. I went to…read morean old style doctor before this and that doctor was not gentle and frankly, medically backward. This practice has the "puff in the eye" test for glaucoma much better than the "touch the eye" (pachymetry) exam that doctor wanted to do. They also have an optos retinal exam. This means they don't need to dilate your eyes. This is at a small extra cost. For me, as a single person, who doesn't want to bother people with a ride home this is a god send. I am happy to have that option. My previous older doctor insisted that the optos exam "didn't work." So this time I had the dilation. The doctor at Lickteig was expert at putting in the eye drops and I had nothing wrong just like the optos exam had said.

But my Harvard Pilgrim fully covers yearly eye exams. The Lickteig reception staff insisted that I pay the full examination fee since they concluded that Medicare A was my primary insurance. They would be right if they were looking at Medicare B. I tried to explain to them the difference between Medicare A and Medicare B, but they insisted that I pay. They refused to use my Harvard Pilgrim insurance as the primary insurance. This was very frustrating. I declined to pay and walked away.

After an exam 2 months ago, they were supposed to order special lenses for me and bill my insurance. Over the last week, I called twice to find out what going on, they take the message and never call back. I'm now out of lenses and I'm scrambling to get them some other way!
