Rete (pronounced: ray-TAH) has a great selection of hip clothing for a wide variety of age groups. Both the men's and women's sections are merchandised well, which makes it easy to put an outfit together quickly if you don't have a lot of time to shop like me. The helpful staff knows their product lines and can easily suggest brands that will fit your style. Once you're a regular, don't be suprised if they recognize you and greet you by first name when you enter or remember what you last purchase was -- that saved me from buying the same t-shirt that i got last time (Katie has an incredible fashion memory!). I have to give props to the owner too! She has done a wonder job of mixing clothing, accessories and shoes all under one roof. read more

Purchased some jeans and a shirt for myself, and an outfit for my boyfriend. The only issue I would have with this place is their return policy is very strict and limited. This place is awesome! The ladies that man the shop are incredible and ACTUALLY listen to you! I stopped in to buy some cuff links (they have the best selection including sports teams and star wars) and I ended up buying a couple of pairs for work and leisure... Well, I ended up seeing a pair of cuff links I wanted for a wedding but they didn't have all of the same ones I wanted so I only bought a few and in the process of talking I casually mentioned where I would be tasting wine at...well...an hour later the woman from the shop walked in to the winery I was at and delivered the pair of links I was looking for!!! So as I was looking at the reviews, I saw that the people from Rete deleted my post as well. Therefore, I have posted my previous post once again. That will tell you something about the store. I would recommend to go to M Clothing instead. Rete does have a good selection of contemporary clothing, they have a great selection of the most popular jeans. Being a boutique in Downtown Healdsburg, the prices can be a little expensive especially for locals. But I was really looking forward to buying Seven and William Rast jeans. This would have saved me a trip to San Francisco. Regardless of this, my experience here at Rete was disappointing. It seems like they only want to cater to tourists. I went into the store and the young ladies were very attentive of the other tourists in the store. As I walked in I was just treated with a "hi", I was not offered help and then one of the young girls told me that if I could not find anything they had a sales rack outside. I has a pair of jeans in my hand and I asked if there was any other shades in the jean, she then said that they would be more expensive. After this I had enough and decided to leave the shop, the staff seems to judge you by the way that you look. Obviously if you are not interested in buying something you would not go into the store. Their CUSTOMER SERVICE is HORRIBLE. You will definitely not get my business and I will make sure to tell all my friends not to go there. I would rather go to the city to Nordstrom or Bloomingdales and be treated much better. read more

I get it, Healdsburg is a tourist town. It makes sense to offer high end boutiques. However, the people that work there do not care about locals. You pretty much have to stare them down if you want any kind of attention. Not worth it. Go to M Clothing for better clothes and service. read more

I shop here quite often, especially when I have family in town and want to show off this quaint little town of Healdsburg. I have always seemed to have amazing customer service from the ladies at Rete and even at their mens store Ereloom. The last few times I have gone in I am constantly being hunted down by one sales associate in particular. Shes very aggressive and always repeats saying hello after one of the other girls have done so. And will then just stare. She doesn't seem to ever let anyone shop in peace. I never mind helpful sales associates, but I think she crosses the line. I would hate to have to stop coming to my favorite little store in Healdsburg, but unfortunately she deturs me. I do enjoy this shop and always manage to leave with something amazing. I just want to be able to enjoy my shopping experience in peace and not feel rushed out. read more

Had a humiliating experience that I feel should be shared. Was on my way to dinner with my college aged daughter and boyfriend when we stopped into the store to browse. We were only in the store for about five minutes and decided to leave. We were next door "browsing" again when an employee from RETE pointed at me through the window and summoned me outside. She said that it "looked" like my daughter "wanted" to take something...I asked her if she did...she said "no" - just looked like it. I was caught off guard and shocked and at the time did not know how to respond to her. I asked my daughter about it and she said she was going to try a shirt on - draped it over her arm but then we left so she hung it up. Rete does not have baskets or bags to put clothes in if you want to try something on... Be careful not to drape an article of clothing over your arm as you may be accused of looking like you want to take something. I will not step a foot into that store as well as I have told my friends of the embarrassing accusal. read more

This store really came through for us....husband & I were enjoying a birthday weekend in Healdsburg in November and stopped in at Rete. Son-in-law = huge SF Giants fan and we found him an awesome long-sleeve logo shirt by Red Jacket. Long story short, bought the wrong size but one phone call to the store fixed it. Although we didn't call until January and were "outside their return & exchange policy", they happily put the right size away for him, he shipped the wrong size to them from SoCal & just received -and loves! - the new one. Saw some negative customer-service related posts here but they sure did us right. We'll be back. read more

I absolutely love Rete! The clothes are well-chosen, comfortable, and California casual chic. The sales-people are hands down the best: friendly and helpful but without being pushy. They are honest, too, which is hard to find. i have never left there with a purchase that they said looked good on me and regretted it. It is my go-to shop for interesting staples. I struggled for a while to find patterned jeans that didn't make me look like I was trying to look younger than i am (35) and didn't make me look bigger than I am. I now own three pairs, all from Rete, and I wear them all the time. I get more compliments on my clothes from this store than from any other. They sell mostly Hudson and sevens jeans. Their tops and dresses are Ella moss, Michael stars, and velvet. I can't say enough about this store or the wwe omen who work here. LOVE! read more

I was so worried that I would move to Sonoma County and I would have to make trips to San Francisco for my jeans but I found it all here. I had an absolutely horrible experience with the people that work there. Me and and my wife went in there because she wanted to get a job somewhere close to downtown and when my wife asked if they were hiring they all gave her this stupid stuck up look and didn't even give her an answer. We both looked at each and when we walked out they started laughing. I couldn't believe it. We were sincere and nice and they treated us with such disrespect, I know it's Healdsburg but if your a store owner so close to the publics eye why would you treat potential customers and employees with such disgust. It was absolutey rude and un-called for. We'll never go in there again not even to buy their Giants gear, Because not even the Giants, being how rich they are, would never treat their fans with such disrespect. I am a professional film photographer and my services include brand products, portraiture, and fine art. I even had my camera with me and was going to ask them if they would like to consider my service but didn't even get to say hello.
