I had an excellent experience with ReSupply today. I scheduled them for a pickup to donate a chest of drawers, long dresser, two night stands and a recliner. They texted me in the morning with a smaller window of arrival time for the afternoon pickup and then again when they were 20 minutes away. This was very helpful so I didn't have to spend all afternoon waiting for them to come. The two gentlemen that arrived on time were professional, friendly and very careful removing heavy furniture. The cost came in right around the estimate that was given. Overall it was a very good experience and I highly recommend using ReSupply. read more

I don't understand why this company isn't rated 5 stars all the way! A veteran owned and operated company, they provide a service that - for me at least - is worth more than it costs. I donate to SA and Goodwill all year long but getting big pieces of furniture, heavy stuff, and just awkward-to-handle things puts a stop to the "good will" I have. Plus, calling a junk removal place (been there, tried that) only means a big bill, and I don't really know where the furniture is going. The cost at ReSupply was fair, the service was absolutely outstanding and if you read my reviews, you know I'm a stickler for both! On a recent cold, snowy day I expected the worst and waited for the call to cancel the pickup. Instead, a text telling me when they'd arrive came even earlier than I expected. And a live call to tell me exactly who would be there - two very courteous, careful young men who wrestled my huge dining table out the door without a scratch, wheeled out a media cabinet without a wobble and came pretty close to the estimate I had in my head for the whole thing. You really can't quibble that an estimate comes in a few dollars over the original quote because- it's an "estimate"! Nice people, respectful of property, super easy to schedule and I've referred everyone I know to this local-based business. re: Resupply in SF Bay Area Working with Resupply was simple and straightforward. The people who came to collect my donations were polite. I am especially appreciative that they take mattresses and I am hopeful that they can be used. My one complaint is that their pricing was adjusted upward frpom $229 to $329 when they were picking up in spite of the fact that I provided descriptions of all the pieces I had them take. On their online site I provided very detailed information about what need to be picked up they gave me a price totally $285 they charged me $10 to secure a pickup time which was payable non-refundable at a time of booking they gave me a window between 9:00 to 12:00 that I had to sit in an empty office just waiting for them however did not show up by until 2:00 p.m. and then gave me the price of $850 despite of what they told me initially I called another company and they came very promptly very professionally finished the job and they charge me $300 I didn't have to wait and the pricing was accurate I would never ever deal with this company again and I suggest you don't do that either. I have been haggling unnecessarily for over a week with a total of 7 Donor Support people at ReSupply to get a $100 refund on a total bedroom set donation. I paid them $459 (including a charge of $160 for mattress and box spring). I am wondering if this donation pickup business is a scam ? I was told by the local partner here in Danville California that I would get back $100 if both were accepted by a local charity. Habitat for Humanity accepted both the mattress and box spring and one other piece. I have been asking for a fair deal, just give me back the $100 your pickup partner told me I would receive if the mattress and box spring were accepted by Habitat (for resale and a profit for H4H). After a week of back and forth, a dozen emails to/from seven different people (in Boston ?), I got half of what they should have paid. The reservation/payment system is very well organized. Unfortunately my experience with the actual pickup was abysmal. As such I can NOT give a positive recommendation. Was assured of first pickup in a 4 hour window. Got the LAST pickup. No tracking or communication with driver. This after ReSupply tried to reach driver via email, text, and phone calls. When they showed up , went to the wrong location after being given specific directions, adding additional delay. Always happy to support veteran owned companies and their local partner Habitat for Humanity. But using ReSupply was a waste of time and money.. Paid a PREMIUM price but received MEDIOCRE service. Don't recommend the LA service- Would not recommend. This was a complete waste of time and extremely unprofessional. They showed up with a truck that was already full and were unable to complete the pickup. I had cleared my schedule and waited around all day for this, only for them to leave a large portion of the furniture behind. They then confirmed they would return the next day to finish the job--and never showed up. No call, no update, nothing. When I reached out, I was redirected to the owner/boss, who initially acknowledged the situation but then completely stopped responding after I explained the issue. At that point, I had already paid and was left with an incomplete job and no resolution. The lack of planning (showing up with a full truck), failure to follow through, and then being ignored entirely is unacceptable. Resupply partners with junk haulers to pick up donation items. Decent business model. I wanted to donate a piano. Selected XL item needing 2 people, selected additional fees for disassembly. When pick up team got here, they informed me it would be $600 to take piano. I politely asked them to leave. Resupply has offered to refund the booking fee and stated it was not their fault. They say they accept items on the site, but the driver explained items listed as acceptable on the site will by default be diverted to the dump and they charge an extra $90 for that. Bed bugs is the reason he explained, so they should just remove sofa sleepers as an option to donate rather than upcharge on arrival. They showed up and changed a $135 donation to a $225 bulk pickup. It wasted everyone's time. I canceled their service and just scheduled a free bulk item pickup from recology. And of course they showed up 1.5 hours after the 4-hour pickup window. Terrible service. They said they would pick up extra-large armoire furniture and gave us a price for pickup. They showed up and said we would have to take it out to the street for them to pick up after waiting 6 hours for them. They gave us a business card for a company that would move it from the house to the street for pickup for $100.00. We called the pickup company and they said they would do it for $150 dollars. Then your company would come back the next day and put in their truck for donation. The site clearly states in there estimate they pick up extra-large armoire furniture. Nothing about having it moved to front of the house. We would expect them to do that. Totally wasted our time and costing us more money to continue with them. Updates my review from 1 to 3 to 4 stars. Please read the whole thing if you want to understand why. I appreciate the existence of such a service and the fact this is veteran organization. The team doing the pickup was kind and corteous. Three problems: - Operations: they never showed up in the first time scheduled, only informed they were not available after I was waiting for hours and called them. Then via text, we confirmed a date a week later. - billing error / Charges confirmation: the pickup team informed that the not for profit would not accept the 8 dining chairs as there was no accompanying dining table. They could dump them which I declined, kept tge chairs to find someone else to donate. I was charged for the pick up, never received a revised list. Never accepted the charge and they charged my card. Tried solving it by text and the person does not seem to grasp what I am explaining and we keep in circles with no one to call. They picked up 8 less items given teams info that items would not be accepted but they charged me for it. - itens acceptance, communication about accepted items - they took a great, expensive sofa, we only gave it away because it does not get through the door/stairs for our room upstairs. They indicated that item was not accepted and that they took it to landfill - very disappointing, someone could benefit from a good quality sofa. I'm heart broken for the waste and for double paying - to transport plus to dispose. I updated my review from 1 to 3 as I got a call from them and a refund for items not picked up. The communication with charities about what is accepted can be improved but they did provide me info of the charity and will provide info about the disposal. First let me say that I was going to post a picture of the two movers that handled our donation, but Verizon had issues yesterday and the photo disappeared. This pick-up was extremely easy. My husband passed away last week and I donated all of his medial equipment (to include his hospital bed). Eric and Carlos were our movers. I had an extremely disappointing experience with ReSupply's Donation Pick Up (LA Junks). After confirming a scheduled pick-up in Lynwood, CA, the company completely flaked, calling at the last minute to cancel and requesting to reschedule for the following day. I was assured they there still going to show for them to have their call center contact me with a for sure cancelation. This was highly inconvenient, as I had traveled all the way from Kern County specifically to handle this matter. A company that operates on scheduled services should respect customers' time and commitments, yet ReSupply demonstrated a lack of professionalism and reliability. While the men that came to the pick-up were very nice and came on time, I would not use them again. I felt mislead as to the cost of the donation we wanted picked up. They charge an $80 recycle fee if Goodwill doesn't take it and the guys were sure Goodwill would except it and we would be refunded the whole recycle fee. After they had hauled away the item I was told that Goodwill would not take our sectional (which had no stains, rips or damage of any kind, so find it hard to believe it was unacceptable) and $20 was refunded as apparently the dump only charged them $60). Did not know about this recycle fee until they were already at the house and the couch was on the truck. Instead of expected $129 fee it was just shy of $200. Felt scammed and trapped into letting them haul away the couch. Also they backed into our driveway taking out a huge limb from a tree, which we had to spend almost an hour cleaning up the mess: sawing it into logs and disposing of the logs and all the branches and leaves. read more

We hired ReSupply to pick up several large items. After we provided a detailed list of the items, they quoted us about $350. ReSupply had told us the movers would assess the cost of moving the items at our location and let us know if the actual price would be different, but this did not happen. What did happen was that, after the items were picked up, ReSupply billed us $1000 with no warning and no explanation. They billed us for 24 large items when, in actuality, we had at most 3 large items. Being charged 3X what we were quoted was a massive shock. If we had known we would be charged such an exorbitant amount, we would not have agreed to pick up our items. We were unable to get in touch with ReSupply and had to leave a message. Luckily, we called the 3rd party that came to do the delivery. They verified that the number of items was the same as what we originally said, and they were able to get ReSupply to adjust the bill. They got it down to 6 large items and, in the end we paid around $575. After all that, we were still charged over $200 over what we were originally quoted. In case you were wondering, ReSupply has still not called us back. We are very frustrated about this, and hope that ReSupply will resolve this soon. Moving is stressful and expensive enough to have a surprise expense like this. As terrible as this sounds, after reading other reviews I realize that our experience is not atypical. The pick up was a total disaster. It was scheduled two days in advance and we received several texts and emails every day leading up to the pick up confirming a morning window. The confirmations included a license plate., so it all seemed legit. On the day of the pick up, less than thirty minutes before the end of the window, the driver texted asking for pictures of the items to be picked up. The initial booking and subsequent confirmations included details on the two items. Instead of apologizing for missing g the pick up window, the driver changed the window. When we asked why he hadn't notified us earlier, he said that he was too busy. Then the company cancelled the pick up altogether without notifying us. We decided to sell our home and move south from Connecticut to Florida. Our plans did not include a lot of our furniture since our new home would be less than a third of the home we currently lived in. We used Restore for many of our donations. I delivered many of our donations in my SUV but when it came to the furniture, I couldn't. We called Restore and set up a pickup time with them. They gave me a window of time when they would arrive for the pick up. The driver called to let me know he was on his way. The two guys were very friendly, respectful and professional. They loaded up our donations in very short order. I truly appreciate how easy it was to schedule a pickup up and then have two people show up that did a fantastic job. I highly recommend Restore. ReSupply's estimation tool for picking up and hauling furniture items to Habitat for Humanity is way off! When they came to pick up my 13 furniture items, the cost they calculated was more than double what they originally estimated...and it sounded like they would junk the items, more than donate them, at Habitat for Humanity. In my opinion, better to have a yard sale, or have Livermore Sanitation pick items up for free over time, to dispose. It really wasn't worth trying to donate old furniture to Habitat for Humanity, when ReSupply is charging double to haul it, then dump it anyway. :( read more

Donor beware!!!!!!!!!!! The price you are quoted on their too easy and too fast online form is NOT the fee you will pay when the guys arrive. We requested a pick up for the last two items we had in our vacant house, a sofa and a desk. The sofa was in one piece, but we did them a favor and broke that up into three pieces so it's easier to carry out. Online, we were quoted $176 to pick up the two items, and when the guys got here, they said it would be $618! They said that there were four items instead of two! If you can believe it? Ugh!! And that they would have to take the executive wood desk somewhere else to be recycled, so there is going to be an extra several hundred dollar charge. We sent them away, and we will never, ever use them again! It was absolutely awful and almost a $400 plus difference. Seriously, don't do it. Call a hauler or Taskrabbit instead and ask them to bring the furniture down to your local Salvation Army or other place that takes furniture donations. It will save you a whole bunch of money and you'll get the donation direct from the charity. This is a scam! They have over 30 complaints with the BBB for this same reason!!! They no-showed the first pick up in McKinney Tx blaming the weather, after I waited 4 hours with no word - would still be waiting a week later if I hadn't called. It did snow/ice several before but the roads were completely clear by then. So I let them reschedule. And again today a no-show after waiting 3 hours at the uninhabited apartment. We chose ReSupply specifically because it is advertised as veteran-founded, and my husband is a Vietnam veteran. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing and unprofessional. Issues: 1) Initial communication was by phone, but afterward all communication shifted to text only, making it difficult to get clear information. 2) We were given an arrival window of 8 a.m.-12 p.m., but the pickup team did not arrive until after 1 p.m., with no notice or explanation. 3) When scheduling, I clearly stated that one of the items was a sofa bed, and I was told that was acceptable. When the workers arrived, they said they do not take sofa beds. They ultimately agreed to take it only if we paid an additional $100, a fee that was not disclosed beforehand and felt pressured. This experience was frustrating, misleading, and unprofessional. It also raises concerns about whether donated items are actually delivered to the charities Resupply claims to serve.
