They reiterated their statement that they "have a signed Certificate of Completion and Satisfaction," a document we signed based on their false claim that the remaining odor was from our furniture and soft items, not the floor. They offered to "rectify the situation" by a) having us hire them to do more cleaning, b) having us hire them to remove the floors, or c) referring us to a cash buyer who would buy the home as is. I responded that this would not rectify the situation as a) we are not willing to pay for further services, b) they are not a flooring company with the tools and expertise to replace the floors, and c) we are not willing to sell our house at a loss. They did not respond further. While I appreciate that they reached out to me, the problem remains that we hired them and paid thousands of dollars for their services based on a claim they made that was untrue. Had they been honest, we likely would have hired a standard cleaning service with lower rates and replaced the floors without unnecessarily cleaning them first.
