She was a very good cook in her own right, and we lived near some of the best Chinese food in the world in Southern California. I can state unequivocally that this is the real deal! They use fresh ingredients, fresh oil, and the chef does a masterful job. We are spending 10 days here and have already eaten here twice with plans to eat here a couple more times despite the other excellent choices competing for our attention. The staff was so kind, seating us away from other diners because our littlest one was sleeping in the stroller when we arrived. The food was also DELICIOUS! Huge portions. My husband and I did a special for 2 that included sweet & sour chicken, beef in oyster sauce, Peking duck, and cashew shrimp.
