We stopped here for lunch on our way to Elvas and was very happy with it. This is right off IP2 in Beja so we didn't even have to go into the city to have a quick yet good meal. We were probably their first customers of today when we walked in at noon since most of the tables had a "reserved" sign on them, and there was nobody besides the staff. We were quickly escorted to a table and the staff brought a tray of 4 dishes of appetizers to show us the available appetizers of today. I chose the pigs ears marinated with minced garlic and vinegar appetizer since that was the most unique one comparing to octopus salad, shredded carrots, or shredded red bell peppers. It was very good and so was their vegetable soup. For main course we tried the typical local dish with pork and clams which came with country-styled potatoes, and a black pork steak that came with both homemade potato chips and white rice. We enjoyed our meal very much and were almost done with our meal before many locals started coming into the restaurant, which is inside a local city park. read more
