We found this little quaint seafood restaurant while on a short lunch break in the beautiful town of Seisimbra. We were to tour a nearby winery in Azeitao at 3:00 so we only had 1 hour and 40 minutes. We were warned that many places right on the beach could have really slow service. Barc Delta is located one block up from the beach front in a pedestrian alley which are common in Europe. The alley was also in the shade too but they also had umbrellas up. We looked at the menu then looked on Yelp but couldn't find Barc Delta so we took a chance. We got lucky as the food was phenomenal. I had the fisherman's soup which was unreal and my wife had the cod croquets. My soup had the best tomato based broth that was spot on. There were several pieces of fresh fish along with potatoes and onions plus it wasn't laden with sodium. You could tell the potatoes and onions had been cooked in the broth as they retained the flavor of the broth as did the several pieces of fresh fish. My wife's cod croquettes were tasty but even better when she dipped them in my broth. I knew the onions must have been tasty too as my wife enjoyed them and she typically avoids onions. I originally wanted to order the Golden Bream but he only serves fresh fish and he didn't have the bream that day (lucky me). I had 3 other seafood or fisherman's soups while in Lisbon and none of them compared to what I had at Barc Delta. The owner was a great host and very gracious for our business as everyone in Sesimbra (or just about anywhere else in the world) is recovering from COVID shutdown. read more
