I was also surprised how much I liked the hot pineapple they offered. Deserts were extra. My server said they had chocolate cake but what I got was a different consistency than cake I was expecting, it was still very delicious. They opened at 7pm on a Tuesday.

I'm skipping the education on what a rodizio is. Presumably you know that already. That said, Fogo de Chão offers 5 menu options: 1) Buffet only: €11 2) Mini-rodizio - no beef: €16 3) Traditional rodizio: €19 4) Special rodizio - only beef: €22 5) Executive rodizio - "Our signature steak, picanha represents the art and science of churrasco cooking. Lightly seasoned with rock salt and sliced thin, it is tender with a robust flavor.": €25 I opted for the traditional. (Why I didn't spend €6 more for the executive, I don't know. I'll just say I was overwhelmed.) I had some sausages that were decent, not great. I skipped on any chicken that came my way. My first beef encounter was not very good. I don't know what it was and due to a language barrier, the gaucho couldn't tell me either. He just kept saying it was "beef!" I had about 5 different cuts. The last, and again, I have no idea what it was, was mouth-watering. My wife had the buffet and I did venture to it for some samples. Neither of us were impressed by it. This place has some decent meats... fish was good, but could use more sauce (also, has lots of bones so be prepared). Grilled meats were better than expected for the price (had chicken legs, sliced beef, and sausages.) Soup wasn't bad... Service was fine and pretty friendly. Also, at 6:30, the place was pretty empty (but maybe that's because their promo price of less than 8 euros per person goes up to about 9 euros after 6 pm), so no problem getting a seat. Also had a 1 liter pitcher of red sangria, which was pretty decent. My only complaints would be (1) the food is pretty salty (but this is true of almost every restaurant in Portugal), (2) they could have had better veggie/salad bar selections. There was pretty much no warm/cooked vegetables on offer (I believe some cooked sliced carrots were the only option!)... other than that, the only options were cold chopped veggies (lettuce, green bell pepper, onion, or tomato) or beans (black or garbanzo.) Even some cooked green beans or cauliflower or squash or something would have been nice. I do think they offer those sometimes, but none when we went there, which was disappointing since we were really craving some vegetables with the meal (I would have given this place 4 stars if they had served some.)

This is a buffet style restaurant which has chinese food and sushi. They also have a section where you choose some raw ingredients and bring it to the chef to grill. Everything was delicious would come back next time when am in portugal and craving some chinese food.
