The staff were warm and welcoming, and although service was on the slower side, their kindness made it easy to overlook. We tried a variety of dishes, everything was delicious, but the teriyaki salmon and octopus were the winners, both 10/10. We also had the sangria, but found it a little too sweet for our taste more like juice. Still, the overall experience was memorable. Because the waiter didn't speak English, there was no explanation of the cuts, leaving us to figure out whose plate was whose. ​Arrogant sommelier: When we asked for a wine recommendation, the sommelier suggested a bottle for nearly €200. When we asked for something in the €70-€80 range, he condescended to us, asking if it was "our first time at a restaurant"--despite their menu having options as low as €30 . ​Disappointing management & service charge: I raised our frustration with the manager, who took over for the rest of the meal and brought the bill. He had automatically added a 10% tip, brushing it off as just a "suggestion." When I voiced my surprise at this level of service and the automatic tip addition, he looked down on us and simply ignored the feedback. ​Lisbon has far too many world-class dining options with top-tier hospitality to justify paying premium prices just to be looked down on by the staff.
