    Zucchini carpaccio.

What an amazing charming restaurant this was. We were warmly greeted at the door and shown to our high top. Our servers, Nicholas and Abril were very attentive. For our a pair teeth, we started with agua Valencia. Be careful, it's orange juice from Valencia oranges mixed with gin, vodka and cava. it doesn't taste very strong, but it has quite a kick. One piece was enough. For food we started with and shared papas bravas. Next were the lobster croquettes. Fabulous. The real show stopper was the zucchini carpaccio. No real way to describe it except exceptionally tasty. We lastly shared the duck confit. Fall off the bone delicious. Wonderful food, reasonably priced and epic service from Nicholas and Abril. This is certainly the place to try for a casual buy delicious meal.

Located on a small side street, Restaurant Secret is a cute, little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of city. I was traveling alone and the restaurant was empty when I arrived but quickly filled up to a nice, festive atmosphere. The restaurant is spacious, clean and quaint. The servers were nice and attentive. I was searching for something different, light and fresh. I have to say this is some of the best food I ate my whole trip. The salad looked a little weird when it arrived but it was so light and delicious. Thinly shaved zucchini on a bed of mixed greens, walnuts and dried cranberries topped with shredded goat cheese and finished with a light vinaigrette. Super delicious. I also ordered two croquettes which were delicious as well and large enough to share. For my entree I had a bolognese, perfect amount of meat and sauce. So tasty. Everything was very high quality, well portioned and well priced. It was such a relief to sit in this charming space after walking all day and having some food that was a little different than your typical spots. I wish I could have tried the paella but it was a minimum of two people. Maybe next time! If I were ever in the area again, I would definitely return. Highly recommended.

Delicious food, great atmosphere, and top-notch service--we highly recommend this spot!

The service was very good, even though the waitress was still learning the menu. Tasty sea bass, very nice Burrata salad and vodka-lime cocktail. Alexis is an excellent manager.

I think this may have been my favorite meal for the 4 days I was in Valencia. My friend Tim found this place which was holding at #30 on TripAdvisor. We went for lunch and saw the food quality and value that gets them such a good rating. They had a 15 euro lunch special that we took advantage of. A starter, a main, dessert, and a drink. Wow that's a great deal, especially because they had Seacoast Squid as a main, and the regular menu price was about 15 euro on its own. We thought it'd be a smaller portion but no, it was huge! It was really good, too, but the star to us was the octopus we ordered from the regular menu. Perfectly cooked with a very interesting sauce we used for the remaining squid. We shared the croquettes with brie cheese, mushrooms, and spinach to start and they ruined me for croquettes the rest of the trip. The brownie and ice cream dessert were nothing special but still good. For the menu plus some drinks and another main, the bill was under 40 euro for 2. And we were full. Like I said, great value. They were short staffed when we went so service was a bit slow, but our waitress told me that was unusual, so I'm going to believe her and not hold it against them. What a gem of a place.

Secreto is definitely a very well kept secret in the middle of the old center of Valencia. Housed in a small, almost car-free alley between the major squares of Valencia, this is definitely a gem. I mostly come here for lunch because who can beat a three-course for €15 in a highly rated restaurant? Although, I keep finding myself going a la carte since the pricing there is amazing too. They are known for their pulpo or squid which meets all the standards that you are looking for in this traditional Spanish dish. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, accompanied with some great sauces that blend together in an almost umami taste. The starters are to die for too and are a stretch away from the traditional tapas that you normally get. During my last visit, we went for the shrimp chupa-chups which is based on the famous lollipops. The shrimp came breaded in krupuk which is a traditional Japanese crisp. The only thing that is a bit disappointing during lunch is the speed of service. Given that there is only one waiter, the food comes out pretty slow and even if you have 1,5 hour for lunch, you might end up getting back to work late

This restaurant should really remain a Secreto. Decided to give this place a try because of other positive reviews. Unfortunately, we had a pretty terrible experience here. The only person we saw working in the dining room was very nice, hence the two stars, but the food was awful. Everything came out cold in the middle, as if it was previously frozen. The salmon ceviche was the fishiest and worst tasting dish I had in Spain. We had to ask the nice server to take it back, which I NEVER do. The food was over-salted, cold, and very disappointing. They brought us out a complimentary dessert to make-up for the mistakes. However, even that was not very good. Sad to say that I will not be returning.

Secreto is an amazing restaurant - a hidden gem you could say. I would descripe the food as an gastronomic expreience and for the price of only 17-18 euro for two amazing main dishes - og you come to Valencia VISIT THIS PLACE

    Tuna tataki, main

This was a perfect ending for our magical visit to the Valencia area. The food was amazing, the service professional and attentive. I recommend making reservations as we were very lucky to get a table at 8pm. Everything was delicious, but the star for us was the tuna tataki, main dish. Thank you for this secret evening.

Found this cute little restaurant in a hidden ally, service is friendly, food is delicious and presentation is nice.

We had a lovely time at this restaurant. Nice service and the vegetarian paella was really good and authentic.
