I ordered the chile verde burrito to go. Plenty of parking and many tables inside the restaurant. Large menu selection. The Chile verde comes wet but I asked for it to be dry. Breakfast burritos served all day, right next to Target?! Yes please! I've been shopping at this Target for years, never ventured around the corner till today and so glad I did! Found this cute dine-in or take-out restaurant that serves delicious, huge burritos (among many other yummy looking meals). I'm always on the lookout for authentic Mexican food. We visit Vegas 2-3 times a year and this was our first time here. It definitely will be on our favorites from now to eternity. I loved the homey and cozy decor. Being from California, we know what good Mexican food is all about and have high expectations. I ordered the Chile verde wet burrito and my husband ordered a combo plate with a carne asada taco and enchiladas. He loved his plate but we both agreed that my burrito was the star of the show! Such a perfect blend of spice, fluffy rice, beans all wrapped in a homemade tortilla. Homemade chips and salsa to start also were wonderful. Pure perfection! What an incredible experience and such amazing service!! Although we live reasonably close to the restaurant this was our first visit but it certainly won't be our last. The wonderful lady waiting on us had such patience, we had a dozen questions and she took the time to help us. You can tell this is a family owned restaurant, they really care about the experience you have and the quality of the food. This is what I envisioned an authentic Mexican restaurant to be. Very friendly lady server. All the patrons on my visit were speaking Spanish. Most dishes may be on the spicier side but they do have more milder plates, just ask if you are sensitive to spice-heat. I had the best shrimp Diablo ever. So much plump, large and clean shrimp. The sauce was so flavorful and so warming. Even the refried beans were perfect. No complimentary chips but they do have corn and flour tortilla choices included with most plates. They even have an array of "hotter" salsas on request. Of course one can buy chips. Everything, even the mini salad sliced right then. After enjoying a show at the Clark County Library, my friends and I were looking for a place nearby to eat. Restaurant El Rey was literally just a few minutes away, so we decided to eat there. First of all, the place isn't much on the outside; you could easily miss it if you aren't actively looking for it. But once you're inside, it's actually quite lovely! The decor is lively and colorful and makes you feel completely energized, welcomed, and ready to enjoy your meal there. We were quickly helped when we walked in, and our server was very welcoming and congenial. She seated us and got us our menus. Once we were ready to order, she took the time to answer a question to help me choose between two menu options. Prices were reasonable. After we all ordered, the food came out pretty quickly. And it was delicious! My shrimp burrito (I have never had a shrimp burrito in my entire life, so it was something new and interesting to try) was so good! It was flavorful with plenty of juicy, seasoned shrimp and yummy vegetables prepared to perfection. Unfortunately, I ended up overeating even though I brought half my burrito to-go because I seriously couldn't stop eating it and ended up finishing it in the car, lol! My friends' dishes also looked really yummy. Ordered menudo to go so can't comment about the dine-in experience or other dishes besides menudo. You may need to ask for hominy... not sure a standard order will have it so make sure you ask when ordering. The menudo was the spiciest I've ever eaten anywhere that did not require any extra chile, salsa, or red pepper flakes. Since our whole group likes spice, it was 1 of the best menudo experiences we've had. If you don't like spice, you probably will hate the menudo. If you like spice, you'll love it read more

This was our first visit here and it did not disappoint. My hubby and I visit Vegas often and love Mexican food. Nothing fancy just well prepared and delicious. We found this place close to our hotel so took a ride to try it out. It's not fancy and is not huge inside. We ordered green chicken enchiladas, a bean tostada and the Burrito de chili verde Mojado, no rice. The food was delicious. The burrito was mine and I'm always looking for the perfect balance of flavor and spice. The pork was cut in very small pieces which was perfect. My husband loved his enchiladas too. He said the chicken was very flavorful and they had a very good kick to them. His tostada was good too. We also ordered chips and salsa which came with a side of beans for dipping and the salsa was a pico de gallo. Both were tasty but I do prefer more of a dipping salsa. This restaurant will be on the top of our list when in town. Looking forward to trying more things from the menu. My daughter and I both LOVE Mexican food, and when I moved to Las Vegas we now had to find a new spot. We would get together on the weekends trying different restaurants and they were ok but were not as good as our favorites in California. I do not eat meat, so I'm limited on my choices, but I did not feel deprived at all the flavors were dancing around in my mouth and I did not even care that there was no meat on my plate. My daughter had an appt and saw this restaurant across the parking lot, she called me and ask if I wanted to try it and I can always go for a Shrimp Burrito, so I said sure, and to think this place is across the street from me, I may have even seen it before but it's so close to other businesses, you can miss it. Food is VERY good and plates are large, but slightly overpriced. Oddly enough the chilaquiles with just egg and no meat are less expensive than a pollo empanizado. Kinda weird. I came to the sushi spot next to this place but it was jam packed so me and gf decided to come here. With the images of the food outside I knew it would be authentic. No wait and the food came out quick which was a good thing bc I was hungry I got the chilaquiles verde (which is one of my favorite foods) with steak and god damn!! it was soo good and comforting!
