This place is cute as heck, the prices are great, and it is just an all around solid diner that while having French menus, is not afraid to make a long string of punny section titles around Eggs.
I was in here very early before work on a weekday morning. I should qualify that for me, very early meant 6:45am on this particular day. The space is honestly a bit drab. The lights were gray. Is that possible? Maybe it was the dusky snow outside. But anyways, we sat ourselves on the instructions of the server/host who seemed to be taking care of the half dozen or so tables that were occupied in this relatively large space.
I ordered a variation of an eggs Benedict that included mushrooms and Swiss. First off, what a simple yet wonderful variation that is somehow both an egg classic and innovation at the same time. The dish was equal parts giant and delicious. It came with delectable home fries on the side. My colleague, taking a more health-conscious approach to breakfast, ordered a plate that included fruit, toast, and cottage cheese. The only reason I bring up an otherwise typical dish is because we both noted that the fruit was exceptional especially given that we were in the middle of winter.
