Have been going here for several years. Private club, for businesses. They have decent prices on most everything. In addition to frozen seafood, they have a seafood counter with fresh fish and shellfish /mussels/clams. You can also get whole goats here, in addition to fresh produce. The only drawback, is as they are constantly restocking, it can be a bit crazy trying to maneuver in the aisles. Check out is like Costco/Sams,, and they check your receipt against groceries before you leave. read more

I love Restaurant Depot. There is so much to choose from, and reasonably priced. The only thing I didn't like is, the price tabs are not posted over the product. Example. You will see Read Gold Tomatoes. There will be an price tabs on the shelves for every other cand tomatoes except the Read Gold. Don't look for much help from the floor associate. They will tell you they don't have a price machine and keep it moving. Not all Reastrunt Depots are like this The one I constantly have a problem with is the one in St. Louis, Mo. Don't get me wrong. Most associates are nice, and helpful. They need to do something about making sure the prices are posted for every product. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service and attitudes working here. All the workers are rude and very slow at their jobs. Management is almost never around and if they are they give zero F$*%S about how poorly their lines are moving and how their employees are treating their customers. read more

5 stars for Scott in smallwares -- he's the bestest! if you are setting up a new shop, SCott is your man. He gave us great discounts on almost everything - from $1,000 deep fryers to flatware and stemware. The rest of the employees here ... bite me, esp you gum chewing, big 80s hair rejects from mtv's jersey shore. You have to be a business and join to be able to shop here so don't think you can just stroll in and buy yourself that 20gallon jug of ketchup. read more

Did I die and go to heaven? Apparently not, but I came in a close second. This has got to be my favorite store. Considering how much I love checking out new stores, the competition is pretty stiff. It is definitely a chef's dream. So, in order to purchase something from here, you have to be part of a business and then get membership for Restaurant depot. While I didn't get membership myself, I came with a friend who did. And, it was such a great time! No one needs that 30 gallon bottle of Sriracha. But do I want it? Heck yes! Never mind how long it takes me to actually get through it though. (Although for me, it's probably be a month tops). While Sam's or Costco might be better options for some items, anything cooking specific you really can't beat than here. Highly recommend checking them out. Great find? This company has very bad customer service in the receiving department. We have ran a load for this company and the unloading personnel never signed our POD. Mind you, we use a factoring company which has been holding our payment for a week because the person in charge of sending documents didn't have time or doesn't care to listen to what we have to say as a customer. We are very upset with this company and will never haul for them again. Drivers make sure you double check your paperwork for payment before you leave there facility because apparently there receiving crew doesn't know how to sign a piece of paper after unload like there suppose too. Only complaint i have is sometimes it gets backed up at the register and can take foreeever! But other than that, awesome meat selection and fresh produce at good pricing. The workers here are friendly, and willing to help you find almost anything! The membership is exclusive, but as far as food goes the prices on most things are better than almost anywhere (there are a few.exceptions to the rule). Many restaurants would all but stop if it was not this place. I am so grateful for all the people that make getting food possible. read more

Great prices and selection. Contrary to what others have written, the shelves are well stocked, and the staff does their job. It's a fast paced place geared towards the industry, and though I've never had a problem, I imagine the staff doesn't have time to answer lame questions. If you're a layperson without a clue or the kind of person that wants their ass kissed, you may want to go somewhere else and pay a lot more. read more

This store has the WORST customer service, I wish zero stars was an option. Don't waste your time trying to call them to make sure they have the item you need in stock. They are always out of what is needed and they always say "tomorrow". I tried calling today and waited on hold for 8 minutes, then called back and was hung up on, called back and asked for a manager and was given to someone that said they just walked in, he was no help (either not a manager, or a very bad one). I went ahead and ordered my 15 cases of pasta somewhere else and the salesman was very thankful for the order. I will NOT be giving Restaurant Depot anymore of my business. read more

I'm a business owner and would rather run to several other sources than to go to Restaurant Depot. The majority of the employees are borderline rude. When you ask for assistance because the shelves are never stocked, they act like you're inconveniencing them. Rarely can you get a smile but as soon as they go in the back they are laughing it up. It's a shame that if you get good customer service it's a rarity. I only shop there when I absolutely have to and the sad part is SAMs Club and Costco have them beat on prices for a lot of things. read more

When this place first opened up, it was pretty good: decent quality produce and meats, and competitive prices. Now the prices are hardly wholesale (Sam's or Costco or Aldi's or even Schnucks's can beat them on prices for a number of things). The wait for checkout is LONG. They have a sign that says they'll open up another lane if there's ever more than three people in each line, but that's a joke and has never happened. The staff are pretty apathetic. Some are nice, some downright rude. Prices are sketchy. Double check your receipt and the posted prices. They will have one price on the shelf, then charge you a higher price at the register. If you ask for a refund they act like you're being unreasonable and be very rude about it. read more

I shop at Restaurant Depot twice a month and usually have a pleasant experience. 2 weeks ago my sister and I were there shopping when her son 8 yrs old went to the bathroom, my 14 yr old granddaughter stood at the b-room door to watch out for him. She said she saw a man go in but he came rt back out. After a while I told my granddaughter to yell in there and tell him to hurry up. He yelled back and said he wasn't through yet. Per my granddaughter the man came back in. A few minutes later the 8 yr old ran out of the b-room and said there was a man in the stall next to him holding his camera under the door taking pictures of him. We immediately went to the b-room but the man had left. My grandbaby remembered that he had on grey and white tennis shoes and jeans. He also remembered that the camera the man used had a camouflage case. We asked for the manager and was told " he didn't have a radio and they could not reach him. My sister demanded that they get the manager and they did. After telling the manager the story he replied " we cannot put cameras in our b-room it would violate our customers privacy". I told him we didn't expect for you to have cameras in the b-room but surely you have cameras in the store showing the b-room doors and close perimeter around them. He replied , there are no cameras by the doors or in that area. We called the police and a report was taken. The police said that " maybe the man dropped the camera and you thought he was taking pics. My sister told the police " he knows when someone is taking pictures of him he is not stupid". The police said that they would look over the store videos and the manager would call us back. He also said that if they found anything we would have to go to court. We still haven't heard anything as of yet. Please be careful with you children. Do not allow them to go to the b-room alone. watching at the door is not safe enough. Take them to the b-room with you or outside to use it.This was probably something that's done all of the time. Restaurant Depot has still not been in contact with us. read more

We are customer since 2007 and excited that it was close from my new restaurant. When it open first, it was great but as time goes on, people were quiting left and right. Now it got so bad, I am afraid to ask questions to employees at the floors or not. I have to say most of the cashiers are nice and friendly but the most worst people are the managers, upper managers. They are lazy and don't care about the customer services even we are customers for years and I think cause of monopoly business. If someone else open the same business, they will not treat the customers like this. We are spending hundreds if not thousands dollars every week and every month. All I am asking is just be nice. I'm writing this review because I was in the restaurant depot and I was threatened by one there employees !!!! I had to call there headquarters because I never got a response back about will that employee still work there. Since I've been going to this place the employees have become very rude and uncooperative with customers. This is supposed to be a place of business but seems like the prisoners is running the prison! They do not deserve my business and I'm taking my money elsewhere !!! I have been a member for a number of years, the team in place now is the most incompetent group ever assembled [there are a few exceptions]. One guy stands out as the cancer of the group, heavy build white guy definitely should not be a front line employee rude and very slow. They have this guy checking carts as you leave. He has trouble counting items, I have witnessed on several occasions a customer with less than 20 items on a cart waiting to exit because this guy has trouble making something as simple as counting items on a cart a quick process. I understand "good help is hard to find" but hiring incompetent people is not a solution to the problem. read more
