This place is great for large quantity supplies for parties and events. I'm thankful to have access to this business. You need to have a member card, such as with Costco and other big box stores but Restaurant Depot caters to businesses like restaurants, food trucks, party planners, etc. You can find everything, from serving utensils and condiments to beverage dispensers and enough meat to feed an army. The staff is very helpful and it's easy to find exactly what you need. I will offer one pro tip, which is to bring a sweater, even if it 90 degrees out, especially if you need to purchase anything in the meat department because it is like walking into a giant refrigerator. To begin I will speak of their outside appearance. The building looks old and abandoned as if it use to be a hub to purchase item. I've literally driven past it for year before I found out the entrance was on the opposite side. A fresh coat of paint can help spruce up its curb appeal. This place has some good deals and then it doesn't at the same time. As any business I figure that's their strategy to make profit. Ie: Give some good deals and catch the customers off guard with items they're not aware sell for cheaper at other stores. In my opinion the produce yields the best deals and are much fresher than local supermarkets would be. Unfortunately my family doesn't need the produce that much so it doesn't help us much. What can help us is "Line Reform". The lines are just ridiculous at times so someone can spend a day thinking of a way to make the lines tolerable, that would be great! read more

They literally have everything!!! Even dishware and uniforms for employees. My only issue is there are workers driving around with lifts. Some are cautious some are reckless. Also the price signs are sort of hard to read. You can't always be sure the price is by the case or by the buddle(one package inside the case). I was told by a rep in the aisle u can't open the box so we were under the impression the price was by the case. We get to the cashier and the price by the case is 3x more than expected and the price anticipated was for the bundle, which clearly means we would need to open the box. So a bit of misinformation. Other than that I was happy that we got everything we needed for the baby shower. read more

I was at the Mt. Vernon Restaurant Depot location today with my 84-year-old dad. Jackie went out of her way to be sure we found some items that Dad really wanted and had trouble locating. What a wonderful person she is!! read more

They sell to businesses and non-profit organizations wholesale prices. (Any of you who really know me, I am an exceptional cook due to the fact of my dad teaching me since age 10. He was a chef in the Air Force.) They have EVERYTHING here. Let me give you examples: You can buy a 40LB box of frozen chicken legs & thighs for 59 cents a pound! You can buy a box of 30 dozen eggs for $11. Yes...that is a fucking huge omelet. Get a 10LB box of King Crab legs for $110 or buy live lobster & crabs for very cheap. Maybe you want to buy a 25LB slab of beef to cut into steaks. If you love collard greens like me, maybe you want a 20LB crate of them to go nuts with. Think Sam's Club but with so much more on the food front. Buy industrial deep fryers and grills, chef uniforms, pots, pans. You can build your pimped out kitchen from the ground up. Maybe you want to make a nice batch of chicken stock? I saw a 4FT tall stainless steel stock pot!! Are you kidding me? This place is amazing and must be seen. If you know someone who is in the food business, make them take you there. I want to be here as much as possible. If you shop here, make sure you bring a truck or something else with size. I needed coffee lids for my business and they didn't have lids in stock for over a week. This place is terribly disorganized and should be avoided if possible. I love this place because I can find so much food that we love, good quality and quantity.

The crew here is always in a great mood and available to help you. Also, the playlist is always great. I find myself singing along as I shop. I'd give it five stars if the sweets department was stocked better. I have to travel to other restaurant depot's for pineapple preserves, marshmallow fluff and other dessert items.
