I came here today because it was on my line of travel. This BJ"s is always packed. I spent 20 minutes, in and out. How? Great question! I hired a local, you know, the guys hanging in the parking lot. He had connections. I approached him and asked was he working. He replied, yeah mon! His accent from the island. He didn't hesitate took me in like he knew the layout. No looking around. I told him the items I needed, whip, bam, boom. On the express line self check out. Which I don't do but he was in charge so I let him do his thing, he is on the clock. Out of the store I'm record time. I entered at 11:55 I was out at 12:15 I got 3 items- milk, egg, 5 packs of water! Headed back over the Throgs Neck within no delays. Pro tip here. I really like this bjs. They have a lot of items that i cannot find at other locations. Coupon books always available and the internet works for you to scan your card/coupons that are clipped. Theres plenty of parking and other stores close by. I took away one star because the bathrooms are never clean. If they work on that, def would be 5 stars read more

The deli counter is understaffed and slow. Wait time is approximately half an hour to an hour. Most of the time customers because of huge orders from pre-slicing for deli counter, business orders, delivery orders and daily orders from customers walking in. This is unacceptable. This is the worst BJ's they literally kept me hostage for THEM not having the gun to scan people out who paid on the app. I was not given a refund or let go outside of the store. The Deli is so under staff. Today December 26 2025. 1 person at thee counter 12 people in line plus. Always an issue. Long lines at the register and many cashiers are rude. It's worth the extra gas to go to another BJs ot Costco that is not that far from here. Need to get rid of the deli manager and store manager. Also shopping carts all over the parking lot. This BJ's is definitely within the top 3 rankings of all of the Bjs in NYC for me. They feature a huge (free) parking lot, usually lots of cashiers, fresh produce, a large variety of items, curbside service, a clean facility (even their bathrooms) and a GAS station with the deepest discounts ever (especially if you use their credit card). The Gas station literally has it's own territory and reviews but it's worth gushing about. Just be sure to avoid their crunch times as the demand can be very high, just like the quality of the gas. Aside from fuel for your car, the foodstuffs available are aplenty. The best way to shop here: 1) Come with a game plan/list/budget. Otherwise you'll get to the parking lot and wonder how to get your groceries home. 2) Bring your coupons. Or use their app to pre-load coupons onto your membership card. 3) Stick to your plan! Eat before shopping as it will take longer than you imagined. 4) Check expiration dates. And be realistic. If you won't really use 25 lbs of ground beef within a week then maybe buy a smaller pack at the supermarket in the adjacent shopping plaza, instead. No true complaints here. For many years are used to think that this spot was ghetto. I'm not wrong but it definitely has become a lot more calm and organized since COVID-19. I used to come with a friend before covid and during the pandemic, i worked for Instacart & getting into the store checking out was always a hassle. The lines would be wrapped up and take almost an hour to checkout. But recently, with the self check out, it has become so much easier. The store is pretty organized, they have a layout that is pretty understanding for anybody to understand. The food is not always fresh when it comes to the vegetables, I see some of the bags Becoming soft inside. Depending on the day, the location of those PJs can give you a hard time for parking. It is in the Pelham Manor long area what's up time is the parking lot can be very full. Prices are fairly reasonable seeing how I live in the Bronx and the ghetto areas time to be more expensive than nicer areas. I always like to shop in bulk for my big family since we eat a lot in places like BJ's, Costco, and even the Huntspoint market for our fruits. The workers here are fairly nice I haven't had any confrontations with any body since I have been coming to this BJ's now for about two years. Recommendations: do self checkout!!! read more

Worst catering experience! Put in a catering order 72 hours in advance. Asked for 4 trays of the mini croissant sandwiches (all turkey) to be ready on Saturday June 11th at 10am. Got to the store at 10am sharp but didn't go directly to pick up the food. Spent 10 mins looking for the 32ct chocolate chip cookies advertised on the site for $5.39 each. Of course, I couldn't find it. Went to the bakery department and was told it is in a different package. Yeah but now that package costs $8.99. Con artists. Finally get to the catering department only to find out my order wasn't ready. I spent 40 mins waiting for them to complete my order. While waiting I decided to look for the Land O Lakes 3lb of sliced American cheese. Couldn't find it in the cheese department so went to the deli and asked. I was told they had to give it to me. Ok, cool! However once he was done, the total price was $15.00 vs the $10.00 advertised on the site. I put the packs in the refrigerated section and opted for the cheaper Kraft 4lb package. Finally get my catered order, get to my destination only to find out they gave me the wrong order. I wanted all turkey, they gave me turkey, roast beef and ham. That's not what I ordered. I bought a pack of Perdue chicken tender loins for $23. Upon opening the package for proper storage, I noticed the meat was slimy and smelt of spoilage. I reached out to customer service but was advised I'd have to return to the store in order for any assistance to be provided. I guess I won't be renewing my membership in the coming year. read more

The BJs in Pelham Manor has mice. I seen one in the lotion section running underneath the grates when the store was crowded. I also saw one running underneath the grates in the rice section when it was close to closing and the store wasn't crowded. BJs in Pelham Manor definitely need to get an exterminator before the mice take over. I will start going to the one at the Palisades Mall, the lines are shorter and I haven't seen a mice in this one yet. read more

I miss having a full-sized refrigerator. Add to it my whole Organic food kick of late and I dare say, BJ's just isn't for me anymore. As it stands, I can only keep a week's worth of food in my tiny apartment. I'm heartbroken by this change in my life. My Inner Cheap Bastard LOVES buying in bulk. I have a fundamental hatred for "running out to the corner store". It goes against everything in my being. I'm super happy I finally got my own BJs card! Well thanks to a great groupon deal. I popped in here about 8pm on a Monday night. The place of course was busy because it's BJs. But I was really greater with a smile as if they just opened the doors to customers. I really wanted to take care of this whole card situation and the lady of the door directed me to member services. While waiting on line, one of the cashiers apologized for the wait and said someone will help me soon. When it was my turn, the young lady that helped me was very pleasant. The entire process took about 5 minutes. She encouraged me browse the member booked filled with coupons and take a look around the store. To be honest I was a bit tired from being out all day. But I still took the time out to browse several aisles and grabbed a few items. The store seemed very clean and organized. Every employee I ran into were actively working. I've seen products in the dairy outdated by 1 week. I told management about it and I went the next day the product was still in the refrigerator. I also noticed other products were very close to the date of the last sale. Products are not rotated as it should be. Also, I noticed that an employee was talking to other employees that appeared to be managers. The employee was not wearing any face covering and the other 2 employees did not say anything to the employees. I am really getting turned off by this.. Also, they have private car service soliciting taxi rides in the vestibule of the store. They also are taking up handicap spaces to make it convenient to them and not caring about the person who will need that space. All this as taken place over a short period of time, maybe about 3 or 4 months ago when I joined BJ's. Beware when you shop. Very disgraceful...... read more
