Gasoline: Top tier gasoline (this is important) at a good price. The lines are long, which is to be expected. However, things would run much more smoothly if the pump configuration was better designed. It can be difficult to maneuver in the tight conditions. But overall, only a slight inconvenience and worth the extra few minutes. Wholesale Store: There was a time when you couldn't beat the prices. That's no longer true. There are many items that are actually overpriced and cheaper at some of the better supermarkets. The meat department has always been much lauded for quality and price. Quality is still at the same level, but the prices have skyrocketed. While this is true everywhere in 2026, Costco was always known for their prices being lower than anywhere else for comparable products. I can buy rib steaks at my local butcher for less than Costco's current prices. This was never the case in years past. The price per pound for a rib roast is the same for rib steaks. That is never the case anywhere else. You pay more for a primal cut being broken down. I do my own butchering, so I always buy the entire rib section, and always for a few dollars less per pound. Now for the good (and there's much more good than bad): The store (Kirkland) brand is top quality across the board. The quality control is top notch, so you can always feel confident about purchasing any new item you haven't tried yet and be pretty sure that you'll be getting a good quality item. The lines can get quite long, but they move surprisingly fast. Customer service is very competent and the people are always pleasant. The store layout is pretty intuitive, however some items seem to be misplaced. You sometimes have to ask an associate where you can find a particular item as it's not shelved where it would make sense to you. I'm always in the area, so it makes sense to purchase my gas here. I get the wholesale discount, plus an additional 4% using a specific credit card. It's definitely worth the visit. Cheap rotisserie chickens- watch when they come out of the ovens! After removing them from the oven they pull these huge trays out from under the table top to put the chickens on so they can bag them. Unfortunately those trays are NEVER cleaned. I've seen them pull them out more than once. When they did it today the trays had OLD MEAT stuck to them! God knows how long it had been there. The woman bagging the chickens literally had to pry off two chunks of old dried chicken from two of the four trays (which ALL had old chicken grease and stains on them), tossed them in the garbage and continued to use the trays. Plopped fresh out of the oven chickens directly into the soiled trays. Then bagged them for sale. I went to the front to complain but a "Supervisor" refused to get me a manager stating she would take the complaint instead as the manager was "busy elsewhere". She said she was "never back there" but would "immediately get in touch with the managing that dept". At which point I watched her instead go to the front and start checking csr receipts at the door. This is my first experience back with Costco since I was a kid so bear with me, as perspective from basically a total Costco newcomer. Place is PACKED most of the time, even many times during off-hours like mid-week or mid-day. Weekends? Fuggetaboutit. Last weekend the parking lot was full. Every single spot taken. There were lines of people waiting and tailing people leaving the store to get a spot. I haven't seen that since Black Friday at the mall years ago and I'm not even in the least bit exaggerating. You'd think they were giving things away, which leads me to my next point... Prices are mixed - really good for some items and overpriced on others. I get certain yogurts in bulk from a favorite brand of mine that is way more economical to get here, and they have some brand name clothing sometimes towards the front like Adidas pants, I've seen Banana Republic, and seasonal clothing items. Some other random things like cleaning products or some fruits and the milk are good prices. Gas prices are definitely lower than most gas stations I've seen in the area. For other things, you're literally paying more for bulk, which seems counterintuitive to their business model. For example, the meats and seafood are total ripoffs. The price per pound is more than if I were to just go to the regular supermarket, 95% of the time. It's just a big package which I think makes people think they're getting a good price for a lot, but you have to check the price per unit, or the price per pound. In most cases for many many items there, I found it's more cost efficient to shop elsewhere. It's like a Costco cult or something, or maybe people are just willing to pay for convenience of getting bulk items since it seems most people shopping there have large families. The location is great for people of lower Westchester and the Bronx, right off 95, but getting to the store itself involves going through this loop of traffic lights and through other shopping centers, and when it's packed (like it is most of the time), it can be a hassle to get through and then to get back out and the traffic gets backed up to get back to Boston Post Rd. I generally like Costco, and going there is like an experience (I guess I'm really getting old it's Costco clubs for me now instead of the club club). There's some cool items that you don't find elsewhere, and they do have some great prices on some specific items, but you're going to spend money in there. It's tough to walk out of there spending less than $50, $100 even if you don't get a lot of things. To me it's a case by case basis and I certainly don't do a full shopping trip there, but for the couple of things I do get there, it seems worth it (during non-peak hours of course). read more

This Costco has been my family's go to for years. I don't have many costcos to compare it too, but it's definitely large, has good hours, and has gas if you're looking for that. It's just a very busy location. Parking and getting in and out is honestly a nightmare sometimes just because it can get so busy especially on weekends. I encourage you to go early morning or weekdays. They have Great products and I'm always eager to get something there, the clothes are good too! I love coming here for my grocery's. First thing I love is unlike BJS you don't have to rip of the coupons to get the discounted items they just automatically deducted and advertises it in the signs and magazines. I came here before mother's days and the roses were 24 roses for like 18$. The meats also are always fresh and reasonably price. You can get everything and anything at Costco. Besides that they also have a food court and they have food samples around the floor. There's nothing this place doesn't have. The best time to visit is as soon as they open if you go early the lines are not too crazy. Of course to get in here you need a Costco membership but it's definitely worth it. I loved this Costco ... I live in Nassau county but my local Costco was such a disaster I had to come to this one to first get a replacement card which was so simple and easy . The lady was so sweet and kind and then shopping here was so completely different then shopping at the westbury location. This store was not over run by mobs of people , I had the freedom to walk around and shop at my pace with our feeling the pressure of people rushing me behind me . I liked that I can go get milk and eggs and not be blocked by people , I liked that I can stand somewhere for a few minutes deciding on what products I want . It has plenty of parking, a gas station with discounts prices for members with long hoses to fill your car, self checkout and the lines move quickly. They have a kiosk machine to pre order your food and pick up at the window. Self checkout doesn't take cash or EBT And uses a scale to weigh out your items. There have been occasions where they didn't have kirkland water which is one of the primary reasons why we go here but it is what it is. They do a good job with samples on the weekends. The line wrapped to the side end of the building but staff did an OUTSTANDING job keeping the line moving (10-15 minutes to interior of store). It was hot outside so getting in quickly was excellent! Like typical Costco warehouses this one has good prices, helpful staff and even sells gas at prices 15 or more cents cheaper than regular gas stations. Then why the three stars? Because the store manager and those in charge of inventory need to step up their act. A lot of popular items are frequently out of stock. More so than in neighboring warehouses like Yonkers and Nanuet. Another problem is apparently unique to this New Rochelle location if we're here a few minutes before closing time We see l-o-n-g lines at the check out counters where tempers sometimes run high and checking out can take 20 or more minutes. Whereas with thinning numbers of customers there should be no lines and they be out in under 5 minutes. The reason? About three fourths of the manned counters close, and also more than half of the self checkout stations. This is a lose-lose situation for all, including the warehouse, I'd think, since they still have customers till 30 minutes past closing time. read more

What a horrible experience at this location. My husband and I have been shopping in Costco for years, so we decided to become members at this location today. I must say I never experienced such unprofessionalism, let me start off by saying that I have a french bulldog (5month old puppy) who is my certified service dog who I take almost anywhere with me, as we enter, the front doorman ask us for my credentials for proof of Milo (my dog) being of service to me, while giving me a look as if I was lying about it. We showed our ID so we went in. No one, including the customers EVER has a problem with my dog if anything we get stopped every 2 secs so they can pet him. Moving along we had so much on our list to buy I was actually excited to be there because I love going to BJ's, stewards lenard, target or any shopping stores for that matter (To shop) being that I knew it was going to be a long day at Costco I told my husband let's grab a bit to eat first, which is another reason I love Costco because of their chicken bake are delicious, due to the line I sat while my husband got the food and this is were our incredibly traumatizing experience began. While playing with my puppy by the food court everyone seem non bothered with my dog looking at him with smiles. While playing, my dog barked and immediately "Arissa burnett" who maybe was the manager rushed over and said "dogs are not allowed here" I said ok but he's my service dog (any where else they would've left me alone) in response she said "well he cant be here not by the food area"and members are complaining about his barking. I said but hes just playing an he barked once, and once again hes my service dog and there is a law were I can bring him to places I go!. With not a care she said I'll get info on this. I stayed to finish my food. To my surprise she came back not with printed proof but with security terrel like as if I had an aggressive pitbull or as if i was acting irate. They proceeded to call more security, they practically surrounded us, so my hushand to protect me and my dog got defensive by raising his voice. Very convenient location for me just off exit 15 on I-95 in New Rochelle, just north of the Bronx border. On my way to and from work, I can stop here to fill up on cheap gas, pick up something quick to pop in the oven for dinner or other non-essential stuff like a dune buggy or 10ft kayak. If you need massive amounts of toilet paper or paper towels in bulk, Costco is heaven. It's not unusual to see people that run their own businesses push out whole pallets of Poland Spring water, Pepperidge Farms Gold Fish crackers, Pampers diapers or 50 gallons of milk. Need a 60" LED TV? You have your choice of brands and if you have trouble with it, you can return it with no questions asked. This location also offers a car tire center, but I haven't used it even though we get coupons for $60 off a set of 4. They stock a lot of name brands, but Kirkland Signature is their in-house brand that covers anything from garbage bags to coffee. Popular items are the prepared foods that you can take home and pop in the oven and with little or no preparation, you can have dinner on the table an hour after you get home. My recent discovery is the seasoned & frenched pork rib roast @4.99/lb averaging about 4-5lbs each. After 1.5 hours in the oven, it came out gorgeous and delicious! As recently as last year, this Costco installed a gas station in the parking lot. Gas prices are on par or 10 cents cheaper than the least expensive stations in New Rochelle, which is 20-30 cents less than the big brands. The difference is that those other no name stations charge the low prices if you only pay cash, which saves them the credit card surcharge. The Costco gas station, on the other hand is cashless. They only take American Express or debit cards, which is alright with me because it gets me in and out faster. This explains the long lines at the pumps during the day, despite having 6 lanes and 18 pumps. Note that they only have 2 fuel grades, regular (87) & premium (93). Tip: The pumps are open from 6am-9:30pm weekdays beyond the normal store hours, so get here early or late to avoid the crowds. I called this location at 6:35am, pressed 1 to speak with administrative office to ask about senior citizen special shopping hours during this Covid pandemic. I specifically told the gentleman who answered the phone I would be accompanying my mother who is a senior citizen and asked would I be allowed in with her. He said yes but only two people per membership. We get here and I asked the person you see in the picture where the line for seniors was and he immediately replied to me "you're not 60" I explained I'm here with my mother who is over 60. He then tells me that I will not be able to go in with her. I told him I specifically called and was told by admin that I could. Then a little while later this person in the picture comes over to us again and tells me that I must step off the line and that he will stop the line from moving as long as I was on the line. Now, mind you I was not planning on going in but I was going to leave my elderly mother standing there in line outside in the cold by herself. So I told him, I'm not moving off the line and if you want to punish your customers for no reason then go right ahead. 2 minutes later, this person in the pictures comes back again, with another worker named Jesus and a police officer. The officer then proceeded to tell me that they were not going to let me in at the door and that that they were now threatening to cancel both of our memberships... I'm sure this came from that person in the picture... Now we have been members since 2004 and never had any issues with Costco until this person was encountered. I told the officer, I had no intentions of going in after I spoke with admin, I was simply waiting in line with my mother. Are all Costcos created equal? I'm not sure since I've only been to three - but out of those three this one is my favorite. Located right off of I-95, this Costco is pretty convenient to get to. They have everything a typical Costco would have, but what makes this location stand out amongst its peers is that it has a gas station - with cheap gas! Besides that, I like going to Costco because they have a good selection, they carry the organic protein bars I bring to work and my favorite popcorn and veggie chips. It's almost always busy here; the best times I've found to go would be off-peak times during the week. Surprisingly, I found going right when they opened to be equivalent to rope-dropping at the Magic Kingdom so I would wait an hour or so after they open to go. Also, people always tend to funnel into the center registers when checking out, but if you go down the last aisle towards the side registers you'll get out a lot quicker. If you're getting household good then Costco might be a good place to visit, but before you can come in you need to become a member. After you agree to pay about $100 per year you'll then have access to stuff you can likely get elsewhere for about the same price or less. You'll also get access to Costco's electronic goods scam. Costco says that they'll match or beat any price for the same model that you see elsewhere, but Costco changes the model numbers on the electronics they sell.
