Recent experience "This is the second time this has happened to me at this location. The staff has no idea about respecting customers. Last Thursday I went to this location around 5 pm, and it wasn't crowded - there were only a few customers. I came out from the cooler and was adjusting some items in front of the glassware section when the staff member told me to move my cart. I said, "Okay, give me 2 minutes." He got so pissed off and pushed my cart towards me. I was holding an egg carton, and the cart was about to hit my head. I asked him what was wrong with him, and he started yelling at me, using cursing words like "mother fucker" and "asshole". I left the place to avoid a physical altercation. This is the second time this has happened at this location, and I don't have time to complain to management because last time I complained, they didn't bother to address the issue with the staff. Definitely the best place you could go to of you have a catering business. I have been to this location several time and each time i like it more and more. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful when it comes to locating an item you need. The frozen section is my favorite cuz they have all the food in the world at a discounted price, they also have daily specials at lower price than usual one thing is that you have to buy in bulks. Had everything I needed for my graduation cookout! No complaints other than a pretty long line for checkout. Also, when lines are long they end up clogging the aisles which can be very difficult to maneuver around depending on how big your cart is. read more

I want to like this Restaurant Depot, but it's consistently poorly stocked, the lines to check out are alway long and very slow, and the forklift drivers treat customers like speed bumps. However, the occasional staff member who speaks to me is often nice and helpful. I would give no stars if that is an option. PLEASE DO NOT WORK HERE! I started for restaurant depot two days after putting my application, worked an entire week only to be fired because they accused me and other coworkers of stealing a STORE CREDIT????? Story time. I was informed by supervisors, other staff, and a manager (the same one who called me a thief and a liar) that I was NOT allowed to make purchases with my work number because I was still within my probation period. However I would be able to make purchases through temporary day passes. I also would like to note that I had bought multiple items, multiple days prior, the exact same way I did on the day I was accused of stealing (with temp passes that were at the disposal of a cashier at the end of the work day). This particular day a manager did a refund on a temporary pass (which you're not supposed to do) that was in possession of the cashier who was allowing me to purchase my items. She immediately noticed the credit on the card, and requested our supervisor do a total void (which our supervisor did a total void) of the credit for us to use the temp pass. However what we didn't know is you couldn't void a credit on a temp pass. Which I've only worked for them a week at this point. I don't even know where everything is in the store, let alone how everything works yet. So as I'm bringing my items up to the register to be purchased. My manager comes out of the office and is accusing us of being thieves and purposely using the store credit. She proceeded to void the entire purchase which means NOTHING WAS SPENT. She had us put all of our items back and we went home. Very next day. We all come to work, everything is fine. Never received an apology for being called a thief, but I was allowed to handle thousands of dollars throughout the day on my register. I was also still allowed to purchase the same items I tried to purchase the day prior. AFTER allowing me to purchase the SAME items I was accused of STEALING. Me and my coworkers were suspended until further notice one by one for this "incident". I returned three days later to find out the status of my employment only to be informed that I was fired immediately, because I was still within my 90 days. My coworkers and I were going to let this situation go, let it be a learning experience for all of us. Until today. There are a lot of guests who come into restaurant depot and offer us jobs based off of our work effort. My coworker received a call today from a consistent customer, who's had interest in hiring her from a job. Along with calling to ask why she was no longer with this store, he also informed her of MANAGERS AND COWORKERS falsifying information and defaming our names. Saying we were all fired for theft. What did we steal? A store credit that was voided off twice? If we are thieves why did you allow all of us to come and work with more money the next day? Why as a company are you informing customers of personal affairs and telling them lies at that? They will work you, be condescending and arrogant, and then will try to defame your name and character. Only to turn around and use you for their benefit. Because once again, we were allowed to manager thousands of dollars a piece, but we were accused of theft? I will never work for this place again. On top of the constant complaints from customers throughout the week about managers attitudes, there not being any hollow drivers for workers and customers to safely maneuver and to purchase items. On top of supervisors drawers coming up short but them not receiving any form of discipline. I will never support this store or company as a customer or for a career ever again. Restaurant supply shop OVERLOAD!!! this place is like Costco but on steroids. It's amazing the variety of products they have here and the unbelievable inventory - wow. This is a place that is really only beneficial for those in the restaurant industry, as you have to buy everything in super super bulk, but what a cool place to come. It cant get any better... I've been a customer of Restaurant Depot for quite some time and I love their whole sale prices. I honestly would never order another whole main lobster from any restaurant ever again in my life. $4.99 lb for a whole lobster @ RD. You cant beat that with a bat. Anything that you need in bulk you can definitely get from here. I consider RD Costco on Steroids. Fresh wild Gulf shrimp ranging from $6.99 to $7.99 per pound. Fresh Fish, Oysters, Clams, and even Mussels that are sold for $10.95 a bag for a 10lb bag. Imagine how much you pay for a bag from your local grocery store. My advice is if you do not plan on feeding an army then go to the grocery store. Keep in mind the quantity that you get is in bulk. They do offer 1 item purchases but I mainly stick with things I need. Pots, Frying Pans, Cooking Ranges, Cooking Utensils. I mean they have it all. OMG that's all I've got to say about this place and I don't use OMG but this really deserves that connotation. If you have a restaurant work in a restaurant have or for a catering business or just having a huge party or family reunion pay attention this place has your name all over it. So often people come on Yelp looking for some very specific things such as chefs uniforms well they have it. As a matter of fact they have everything to equip an entire restaurant or catering business from giant refrigerators to liquid soap used in the restrooms and everything in-between. First things first you must get a special membership pass card. These can only be had by those individuals that are in the business or know someone who is in the business and you can tag along get the hook up eh... like some people would do, ahem. The next thing you do is grab one of the big flat bed carts like the type they have at the lumber yards. Yeah, that big, because you'll need it... trust me on this. Next walk in swipe your card at the front desk and then LOOK OUT!!! Fork lifts and electric carts are zooming around everywhere at speed and those guys have a hard time seeing cause of the huge loads they carry so you must be fully alert at all times it is your responsibility not to get run over. Further inside you'll see that this place is one BIG DADDY of a warehouse much like Home Depot but strictly for the food biz. To your right is the artic zone basically one giant freezer of a warehouse section where they keep all parrishble food. For those of you who are a little sensitve to cold weather you might want to bring a jacket into this section. Frozen food including: huge slabs of beef, pork, veal, goat and lamb, flocks of ducks, chickens, hens. Also you will find schools of fresh fish packed in ice that include a very large salmon almost as big as me, red snapper, black bass, blue fish, white fish and every other colour fish you can think of. Tons of fresh fruit and vegetables that must have been grown using radioactive farming cause these are some of the largest carrots and corn I have ever seen. But really you could feed an entire city from here easily. Everything here is over sized and over the top in scope. If you want munchies well they got them buy the bucket full. Mayonaise lovers rejoice they have 20 gallon buckets of that, plenty of to give you a lot of mayo bliss. Sodas by the 48 pack case, spices and condiments in the largest containers ever, potato sack size bags of popcorn. This is like how they do in Texas everything is big not for the faint of heart. But best of all everything here is discounted much much less than the average grocery store because you are buying in bulk. Also what is great you can easily purchase commercial microwave ovens, blenders, coffee brewers food warmers etc. etc. flatware, heavy duty china, good solid glassware, table clothes and napkins just too much to list. So whatever you need they got it. Don't expect anything fancy here it's a warehouse people not Harris Teeter nor Wegmans, it is raw dog and this is where restaurants do their shopping. This place makes me want to open up a restaurant. Hehehe. So if you are in the business or thinking about getting in the business, go where all the pros go and knock yourself out on a lifetime supply of sugar, cause here the bulk shopping is sweet. read more

This is the worst experience I have had with customer service. When I arrived the line had twenty people in it. They were letting people in one person at a time due to Covid 19( this is understandable). It was 90 degrees outside and they are a grocery stores for customers. They had no employees outside with coolers of water. Then they people who just pulled up started a new line next to the line I was in. Then they let a person in that was in this new line. That was unacceptable to me. I walked up front to explain that we had been waiting outside for 30 minutes and these people just walked up. He said "that's how it is". I said I need to speak to a manager. The manager comes over (Ian Jackson) and I explain the situation to him. He said " im not going to be the line police. I asked for his card and promptly left.
