The menu here has something for everyone. My husband is a huge fan of their double cheeseburger. The falafel platter is incredible and you should try it. If it could talk, I would leave my husband and elope with it. Yes, it's that good. Everything is always made fresh to order and the service is top-notch. Don't be fooled by the sparse appearance, the food will make you forget where you are anyway!

The prices look really reasonable so we figured we'd give it a shot. When we arrived, the storefront didn't look like anything special, nothing really appealing to bring someone in, just kind of blended in with the rest of the block... And after entering, it still didn't really reach out and grab us. Not a lot of decoration, a few tables with chairs and a couple of booths, and a counter to order from which is perfectly fine but I didn't know having never been there if they had a wait staff or anything. So we looked over the menu for a minute and ordered a couple of dishes. My wife I believe had a chicken and lamb platter, and I had the fish platter. So far up to this point everything was fine but nothing was really over the top awesome, and then we sat down and ate. Oh my gosh that food was good. My wife absolutely loves tzatziki sauce which of course they had, and the chicken and lamb was served with rice and you get choices like lettuce and tomato and hummus and chickpeas that they can add to your platter. My fish platter was incredible. Her and I both commented a couple times to the gentleman at the counter that the fish was cooked perfectly. It was nice and lite and flaky and I wish there were more than just the two pieces on there. The price of everything did not break the bank by any means, and they do offer wraps, burgers, and breakfast items. We will definitely be returning customers...

(I'm still partial to Krispy Kreme however that's quite a drive from here.). The place is rather large, the dining area indoors looks like it's good for at least 30 people anyways and then the outdoor porch weather permitting is probably good for another 20. I arrived about 15 minutes after they opened and the line was forming pretty quickly however it also moved along pretty quickly. The person that takes your order is not the same person that gets your donuts and puts them in the box, so that seems to streamline things pretty well. There's a display up by the cash register with one of every donut that is currently being sold that morning/day so you can make your selection easier. The menu is a little more extensive than donuts, as they also have hoagies and shareables and of course coffee/ juices. For whatever reason, somebody decided to put donuts with beer... Yeah I don't know... But, if the mood strikes you they have a very fine selection that they rotate from time to time of draft beer. It's a pour your own kind of a thing and they also sell growlers. There's of course t-shirts and other random souvenirs that not only have the company logo/wording but Owego in general. Bottom of mind this place is definitely worth a visit.

I'm definitely a fan any…read morecafe or similar space that integrates art into their environment, and there were quite a variety of lovely pieces at Carol's - many by the owner, but also included are other local artists. The menu, of course, also has "Carol's Favorite 'Comfort Food' Sandwiches" on the menu, all named after famous artists. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I'm a huge Van Gogh fan, so I ordered the "Van Gogh" sandwich that comes with oven roasted turkey breast layered on sourdough bread and lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The sandwich was good, but I have to say that proportions of the ingredients felt a bit off. I also noticed during the prep of my plate that the chips came from opening a bag (a bulk version similar to ripple chips you'd just buy at the store). In a cafe space like this, you can't necessarily expect people to be making everything from scratch... but I think it's just helpful to note to keep expectations in line. The drink that I ordered was made well (their beverage selection is at the very back of the menu). You can definitely tell that this is a community space, and it seemed like a number of locals filtered in throughout the lunch. There are notes on the tables that advise of a 90 minute limit for sitting at the table (not something I've ever actually seen before), and there's wifi available for use by customers. Perhaps an awkward experience was just related to the overall service? You grab a menu and choose your table if you're dining in, but you end up paying at the counter. Personally, if I'm going to sit down to eat then I'd prefer to have the check brought to the table and pay that way. The space is a bit cramped by the counter, so it seems like it'd benefit to minimize the foot traffic that has to wait there. And perhaps this is silly, but upon paying for the lunch, the server handed me my receipt and said "Just sign here", and then seemed to be somewhat... abrupt? I feel like I'm pretty low maintenance when dining out, but it just left me going "OH. Okay. Time for me to get out of the way" (it's worth noting that at the time, there was nobody waiting around, or to get to, the counter). Still, it was enjoyable to stop at Carol's Coffee & Art Bar. It's a more unique space with nice offerings.

He enjoyed it thoroughly and then set about cutting slices to share with friends; he was so happy to be able to bring this lucious treat, and I am very proud of him Thank you Carol's for your hard work on this pie, I'll be sure to to come again!

We had a great table on the water. It was a busy Saturday afternoon, and the place was packed. The staff did a great job managing the work flow. Clearly an experienced group of people. We ordered the top item on the menu, the cheese steak sandwich, added some peppers. It was quite good. The fries here are and definitely get an order. The problem happened when I ordered the house burger- another top menu item. I asked for "medium rare", which should have a hot center but some pink left. What I got was well done- and dry as the desert. I had to drink a lot of water to wash it down. Normally-if this was a steak, I'd send it back. But- it was a burger and the kitchen was already jammed, so I choked it down- I was really hungry. I would not order the steak here- pretty sure a 6 ounce filet would end badly. Other dishes being served at other tables looked great. I would come back here. It's a great place. Thus- 5 stars.

I will say it is a little weather dependent unless you want to eat barbecue under the pavilion in the rain but personally I think barbecue is best enjoyed in sunny weather. I got the pulled pork dinner with extra bbq sauce and fruit salad and potato salad. My dad got the chicken dinner with salt potatoes and Mac salad. Both dinners came with 2 sides. First off the portions are very generous you definitely won't leave hungry. The pulled pork was delicious and was gone in like 5 minutes! In my opinion the potato salad was a little I guess thick but that's really just a preference thing it was still really good! The fruit salad was pretty basic melons and some strawberries nothing special but again still good. My dad is a big fan of the chicken and this is like his go to bbq spot. If somehow you still want more after you can go to Big Dipper ice cream literally less than 50 ft away. I paid just a little under $40 and I do think there's a cash discount and I also left a couple bucks for a tip and we got drinks. The pork was pulled style with an Asian profile of flavors. There was also some German bologna, which I don't think was really necessary but oh well. The only downside was the sandwich was kind of hard to eat because the roll was chewy. Just be prepared to get sriracha all over your face! The sandwich also came with a side of either baked beans or Mac salad. I tried the Mac salad and it was very good with fresh herbs and sweet pickle. On a side note, I had this sandwich as takeout so I haven't seen the shop itself. I don't know what gear they have, but I don't think they smoke the pork, so don't go here expecting a more authentic BBQ. That being said, I can't wait to try more!
