More importantly, the rooms were clean, orderly, dark at night, and otherwise perfectly acceptable, which is NOT always the case with roadside inns. I feel like we got extremely lucky because no one else was on our float and we didn't even see anyone out on the river. For us, it was like a private tubing float down the most epic river ever. It was truly breathtaking from the moment you start until you end. Next time I'm in the area, I'm going on a longer float because it was THE BEST TIME!!! The current is perfect, the water is great, the tubes are comfy! Also, Trevyn (I believe his name was) was our driver to the drop off location at the start and he was fantastic!! He was a spectacular guide while driving us to our spot, you can tell from his vast experience of the area. Overall, I LOVE this company, I LOVED my tube experience, and I will be back!

Our room was dirty upon checkin. The floors were convered in dirt, including nail clippings. Gross. Just check along the side of the nightstands and under the desk and see for yourself. We were only supplied with one towel, in a room we'd booked for two people. When we went back down to ask for an additional towel, the attendee stated that he needed to make note of it, like we'd done something wrong. There is no housekeeping! Do not expect fresh towels, clean sheets, emptied trash cans. In the mornings you'll see people place full bags of trash in the hallways for pickup. Do not expect fresh coffee or even hot water in the mornings, it might be luke warm at best and staff is minimal so assistance is almost nonexistent. Stephanie, the afternoon clerk during the week, is this lodge's saving grace. She was kind, helpful and such a breath of fresh air after our checkin experience. The location is good, but Moab is small and everything is walkable.

Our tent faced Arches National Park, and waking up to those views each morning was unforgettable. We stayed in an accessible tent, which was spacious, comfortable, and had convenient parking right next to it. The tent was a little warm at bedtime, but it cooled down nicely as the night went on. The amenities were wonderful. We loved grilling dinner, making complimentary s'mores every evening, and enjoying fresh coffee each morning. The staff was incredibly kind and always happy to provide us with ice or a cooler whenever we needed one. The nightly activities made our stay even more special. We enjoyed the bookmark-making activity, and the "Star-bathing Meditation" with Monika the most peaceful experience. We spent an hour lying on a rock, meditating under an incredible sky full of stars. It was so relaxing, and Monika made the experience unforgettable. We also spent hours stargazing from the hammocks. The night sky at Under Canvas Moab is absolutely breathtaking. The views are unlike anything we've ever experienced, and we would absolutely stay here again. Here are all the things I wish I'd known…read morebeforehand but couldn't find on the website. -Location is right on the highway and there is truck traffic all night. There are earplugs on the nightstand. -The heating source is wood burning only, so if you have asthma, stay elsewhere. That said, the wood stoves were vented pretty effectively. -There are pullchain showers and sometimes the water is hot. Depends on time of day. -Bathrooms are super dark, there are no toilet lids and no space to put your stuff. That said, linens are included so you don't have to bring your own. -The "electricity" is personal power banks. You can get as many as you need. There are also LED lanterns which are helpful. -The lobby serves excellent coffee but they take it away at 11am. -The lobby offers adult beverages but because Utah, you can't drink them there. You have to drink them outside or in your tent. -There is a small collection of foodstuffs in the lobby and they're all pretty high quality. Someone tried to order food delivery but we overheard it's not allowed. -Service is very friendly and responsive if you need help with something. - There is music in the lobby at all times - even at 6am - and also outside in the community fire pit area. It is kind of annoying if you were hoping for a quiet outdoor experience. -There are A LOT of kids so don't come expecting quiet. If I come to Moab again, I will probably stay in a hotel just to get some quiet.
